Wish I could give the Ritz more 🌟. I hesitated booking due to negative reviews, but from day one we were enchanted by the very lovely and tasteful premises and room and the EXCELLENT PLUS, warm and friendly service from everyone, underlining everyone. From the smiling and helpful front desk staff to the server at Coast who addressed us by our last name, to the valet attendant who offered water bottles when delivering our car, to the maintenance man who came to repair a bedside lamp (it was just unplugged) who asked if he could do anything else for us. I can’t pick out names to commend because every employee was a superstar. If the Ritz had a difficult time during and after covid, as every hotel had, it has risen above and beyond it. It’s a perfectly run hotel. We had room 542, lovely ocean view. The only negatives are the very cold lobby; we weren’t the only ones complaining about it. And we wish the restaurants, especially Coast, had a more varied menu and maybe daily specials? Check my previous reviews, I am a very honest reviewer. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Booked a standard King weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. Rolled the dice and used 2 suite night awards. Upgrade confirmed and was shocked to realize it was the Presidential Suite; best upgrade ever! This hotel is amazing. Staff is friendly and kind

From greeting to check in and everything in between was amazing! Pool, beach, and dining room service were exceptional! The staff were pleasant and one step ahead. Your valet guys were personable, efficient and humorous. My husband thought he left his glasses in our vehicle and after your guys looked for them in the car they spotted them in his collar. !

This is absolutely the best place for a vacation. The property is extremely clean. The staff could not be any better. The activities they offer are amazing. The food is incredible. I don't have one negative thing to say about this resort. The staff from the second you step foot on property is top notch. I could name a few individuals at this hotel whom are amazing and make families like mine feel so fortunate to know them. Nora has become family over the years of visiting this resort. Nick outside is so great with the kids and has such knowledge and passion for nature. He runs daily shark tooth hunts that my kids would not miss for anything. If you get a chance to visit this is a gem.

It was a very busy weekend and the hotel was at capacity. There was a confusion with my reservation, but Laurel H at the front desk made sure we had a wonderful stay! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a terrific experience with my family. Laurel even checked in on us before she was off for the weekend. The spa was renovated and spotless. The service from everyone at the hotel was excellent. I will come back to this property and recommend to friends in the future. Thank you for making our stay so special. Customer service of this level is rare in today’s environment. Thank you Laurel and team!!

We had an amazing time on our first trip to this resort. The service was amazing, and everyone on staff was so friendly. Dining at Salt was a highlight, and we will definitely be back for a return trip. Also, rooms are quiet, and are up-to-date and spacious. We had a great experience all around.

We checked into the hotel for one night to break up our drive to south Florida. We called ahead and asked if they had a place to watch the football playoffs. We were told that there was a restaurant on property where we could watch the games. After we checked into the hotel, we found out that the restaurant was booked for a private event. We were directed to the pool and beach bar to watch the game. It was a cool, windy day with music blasting so not a location for the game. We ended up in the lobby bar which was in the middle of a remodel. We ordered some asian food on the bar menu which was terrible. $18.00 for a bowl of boxed Miso soup and equally expensive Gyoza that tasted like they were freezer burned. We decided to head to our room for dinner for room service. When we called room service no one picked up the room for at least 30 Mins. When we finally place an order and have it delivered, our dinner was missing condiments. It took 30 mins for the condiments to arrive. Breakfast the next day was mediocre and around 40.00 pp with coffee, juice and tip. As for the room, it is less than the quality of a Marriott. No beautiful Ritz Carlton marble in the bathroom. It appears the designer went for a beach cottage feel. For almost $1000.00 per night, this hotel should be ashamed. We also were not emailed a survey after our trip. I rarely write a negative review of a hotel but I felt it was my responsibility to let travelers know that this hotel does not provide a Ritz Carlton experience . On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

Terrific Stay This hotel somehow manages to retain Ritz Carlton character and hasn’t become just another high- end Marriott. Location is extraordinary with plenty of informal outdoor seating, boardwalks over protected dunes to a massive beach that stretches for miles. Some rooms offer balconies with outdoor fireplaces. Valet parking was not cheap, but fast & friendly in and out. My room was spacious with large bathroom, walk-in shower, plenty of storage, & large closet. Housekeeping did a great job daily (remember to tip hardest working staff in any hotel :) I was there for a conference, and we tried 5 of 7 restaurants/bars. They ranged from a quick delicious sandwich at poolside Coquina to luxe dinner at 5-diamond Salt. We also had a hospitality suite where they served hot breakfast each morning. Each experience, the service and food were outstanding. The hotel has managed to recruit a terrific team across the board. Check-out was fast and bill was accurate. Nearby, Fort Clinch State Park is well worth checking out if you have time and my colleagues enjoyed golfing on the property. There are also e-bike tours of the island- Pedego is an easy walk and offered friendly guides, nice bikes, and a good tour including beach ride.

This hotel is not of 5 star quality. Our room seemed very outdated. The beds were hard and lumpy and the pillows were very flat. We left one night early just so we didn’t have to sleep another night on the beds. The bathroom had dirty grout and did not have a clean feel. We were shocked to see that the hotel is using plastic refillable shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles. For the price of rooms this is ridiculous. Also, $42 a day for parking is outrageous and that is before tipping. The hotel has beautiful grounds, plenty of pool chairs for guests and easy access to the beach. It was also nice to have someone available helping with chairs and towels for a day at the beach. With this being our second visit, we have dined at each of the restaurants and the food is wonderful. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and helpful. It’s unfortunate but we will not be returning. The hotel is just not worth the money.
