Adding to all the other great reviews...Yes! The property is so well laid out and never feels massive. We were on the expansive beach in a matter of minutes! However, it is the staff who make this place shine. Our dinner at Salt was the best meal we have ever had. The waiter David made us feel like we were his only and most honored guests. We were so taken with the dinner, which was all art, that he had the chef come talk with us (and he shared notes with me on how to make his leek bread pudding). Every staff member displayed their best at every interaction we had. The first person we met was Melanie Boatright at check in. She was cheerful, smart and welcoming. Her demeanor never changed the whole week we were there. She greeted us by name every time she saw us, asked if she could help in any way and took care of any request we had. This place is special and the staff are even more special.

As an Ambassador Bonvoy member with the Marriott brand since they adopted the status. I have stayed all brands of Marriott properties across the globe. This one has to be my all time favorite. The culture that is instilled throughout the entire staff provides exceptional service. The GM Greg Cook makes sure to walk the property to check in on his staff and customers. He makes sure the staff is all about the customer experience. If You are at the pool and it’s hot, they walk by and give you water to cool down. Working out at the gym one day and I was about to leave and the young lady behind the counter ran up to me and gave me a lemon towel to cool off. I had another young lady wait 5 minutes holding the door open for me. I said you don’t need to do that, and she said that I shouldn’t need to open my own door on vacation. Nicole that manages all outdoor and sport activities is probably one of the hardest workers I have ever met. I was in my balcony watching the ocean and it was past 7pm and she was lighting a bonfire for people. You want towels, chairs by the pool, umbrella for shade? No problem the pool staff is there. Your kids want a boogie board or surf lessons? Very well respectful young men and women are prepared to help you. The food at Coquina and Coast for lunch was awesome. I can probably write 10 more experiences we have had over the 6 days at the resort, but I’m not sure you want to read anymore. If you want an experience of culture and service I highly recommend this place for your family even your puppy!

I can’t say enough about the Ritz Amelia Island. We chose to travel during the pandemic, and weren’t sure what to expect. Nothing to worry about. Beautiful and perfectly cleaned rooms, the service was attentive and kind, the beaches are gorgeous. We ate at Coast almost every meal because the food and service were so good. Can’t say enough about this truly amazing resort. The staff really seem to enjoy their jobs and we appreciated them.
