We just had the BEST family vacation at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. We booked an oceanfront suite and it was absolutely gorgeous. The suite was recently renovated during COVID and had a private balcony, sitting area with a sectional sofa and 1 and 1/2 baths. Neely Conn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thank you! The beach attendants were very friendly and helpful. They always greeted us and offered sunscreen, towels, cold water, beach toys, boogie boards……. The beachfront food servers were very attentive. We were never in need of anything while we relaxed on the beach. The dining options were plentiful with a wide variety of food. The sushi in the Lobby Bar was the best sushi we have ever eaten. Coquina had great nachos and street tacos. Tidewater had the biggest hot pretzel we have ever seen. All of the options were delicious and fun for the whole family. Special thank you to Nanette Rapuzzi for the fun color changing cup you gave our son for the golf course. Thank you for a great vacation and even better family memories.

So great I had to write this review. The decor, the food, the location are all excellent, but it is the people who have made the difference. From the valet (super nice, maybe need a couple more) to the check-in people, to the room service, all were great. I do have to say Laurel really went above and beyond for special situation (and was super friendly and pleasant too). A superstar for her thoughtfulness - what hospitality is all about. Hotel is beautiful, and room was immaculate. Room service took a little longer than expected, but just minor.

We have been going to the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island for 20 years. It never disappoints. The hotel staff make you feel like family. The cleanliness of the hotel, both in the rooms and in the general area is unparalleled. And the restaurants on site, especially salt, are fantastic. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to go to the beach and have a fantastic time.

Great access to the beach, nice pool, firepit, and hot tub. Spa VERY expensive, but rooms overlooking the resort were beautiful. The breakfast was pricey, but the buffet was generous. The shop keeper found out we were getting married and she gave us a memory book for free! Wonderful Ritz Carlton- white glove service - My Pleasure!

Lovely Ritz Carlton with the usual amenities. We were there around Easter and there were lots of kids so if your looking for a couples retreat this may not be it. Room was bright, spacious and felt newly redecorated. All rooms have some kind of view and balcony. Pool could get very crowded but it was a holiday week. Spa was excellent - had a great massage and enjoyed the private facilities (pool, hot tub etc) and well equipped locker room. Food choices were solid everywhere on property but getting a table for breakfast buffet was often a long wait and we tended to just get coffee and head out. Loved the island - felt much more like S Carolina or Georgia than Florida.

We stayed here Friday - Sunday for an on-site conference and loved it. The valet checked our luggage until our rom was available. Check in went smoothly. Our room (718) was very well-appointed and clean. Love how comfortable the bed was and the sheets were heavenly. We really appreciated the in room fridge and coffee machine. The bathroom has 2 sinks and a great high-pressure shower that we loved. The amenities in the bathroom were also quite nice. We also appreciated the bathrobes and the turndown service. We walked the grounds often. Loved the fragrance that is piped through the vents in the building. Played some ping pong in the game room. Browsed the shops. Sat in the Adirondack chairs. Enjoyed a burger, sweet potato fries and nachos at Coquina. The conference logistics were great. Comfortable chairs and then note pads, pencils and water at each seat. Delicious breakfast bag of pastries, free range eggs, sausage and French toast. Fresh juice and robust coffee. Boxed lunch with complimentary insulated lunch bag to keep that had a chicken salad wrap, pasta salad, mandarin orange and brownie. Best conference snack bar ever with cheese tray and French bread, tortilla chips and guacamole, soft pretzels with nacho cheese and popcorn!! YUMMY! Our conference dinner had a southern buffet with salad, collard greens, shrimp boil, rice, biscuits, prime rib and strawberry shortcake. All A+. Best part of the trip was the complimentary Mercedes rental. We had the SL 63 AMG with 577 HP from 12 noon to 4 pm on Saturday. We also took advantage of the free golf range balls and loaner clubs and the complimentary bikes. The Ritz employs some of the finest staff. We would like to especially thank: Debe who handled our Mercedes rental, Ingrid on the catering team who assisted with our conference dinner and breakfast, RJ our bellman who had all kinds of great tips, and Amanda in the shops who had great recommendations. An all-around outstanding experience. Thank you!

The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island is my kind of place! Granted, I just got back from a work conference so my room rate was considerably less than the normal rack rate. I arrived a day early for the sunshine and Mother Nature held off the rain for a few hours so I could start working on my tan. I hope the conference organizers decide to come back here in the future. When I checked in, I was upgraded to a Coastal Deluxe Room with a king size bed and balcony that had a view of the ocean looking south. While not a complete ocean view with a full view of the sunrise, it was still a great view. My room had a comfy king bed, a sofa bed, a little nook with a table for working, a fridge that was split in half for the honor bar and your own drinks, as well as a Nespresso machine. There is also a safe for your valuables. It overlooked a big green lawn outside of the convention/ballrooms and the sand dunes. The bathroom features Diptyque products. For lunch, dinner, and coffee, when I wasn’t in the conference, I went to the on-property restaurants. There are several to choose from ranging from mid-price to expensive. Two of the nights we ventured off property to restaurants in Fernandina Beach. I’m the kind of person who always opts for the beach if I’m at a beach resort. However, if you’re a pool and cocktails kind of person, this resort is also for you. As soon as I checked in, I headed directly for the beach. As part of your resort fee, you get the use of an umbrella and two lounge chairs. If you forget your sunscreen, the little beach hut where you pick up beach towels, also has water and sunscreen for you to use. The beach is beautiful and was not crowded . There is also a little beach tiki bar that serves cocktails and food. The Ritz-Carlton is known for their spa so of course I had to partake. As part of using the spa, you also have access to the spa’s adult-only pool, the jacuzzi, steam room, lockers, and other amenities. If you aren’t getting a spa treatment, the cost is $50/day per person to use their facilities. After my spa treatment, I spent all day at the spa pool because it was quite windy down at the beach. You can order cocktails and food poolside from Coquina. Everything was delicious. The spa pool features lap lanes (yay!) and a whirlpool with a cascading waterfall. I brought my swim goggles and did laps early at 10am before getting sun. Coquina is one of the on property restaurants and it’s next to the main pool. It has a large bar and covered seating. My first and last nights at the hotel, I had dinner at Coast. The short rib and filet are excellent! I was a frequent flier at First Drop Coffee several times a day for coffee and their sorbet & gelato. Shout out to Victoria and the team members at First Drop Coffee. She improvised and created a a delish mocha raspberry for me when they ran out of raspberry syrup. A couple of things to note, I arranged for transportation thru the concierge to and from the airport. If you are going to dine in Fernandina, you may also want to prearrange for transportation as I think the number of Uber and Lyft drivers on the island is limited. The staff at the hotel is welcoming, friendly and helpful. Florida is usually not on my list of places to visit but I will definitely make a return trip to the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

The thing that distinguishes this hotel from most is definitely the service. Practically everyone is pleasant and more importantly proactive in asking if you need help. You would expect this to be the norm in the hospitality industry, but it is becoming increasingly rare. The breakfast buffet, while not inexpensive, is quite worth it. The quality is very good and there is a decent selection. It won’t rival a Vegas buffet but it’s good enough. And kids at half price are definitely worth the price! Gym is great. It becomes crowded in the weight room but I like the fact they have two Peletons available to reserve. I’ve always wanted to try one and I must have gone four or five times at least. They offer smores at night (Friday and Saturday I think). They only give you one marshmallow and chocolate though. The final perk of staying here is you can rent from 3 or 4 different Mercedes for free for 3 or 4 hours. It was great driving around a 140K car=) If you value service and a hotel that isn’t as crowded as the average tourist destination hotel then this is a great choice. (However, if you want a chair by the pool it’s like every hotel where you have to get there early to get a spot)
