Worst ever experience... trip advisor which this hotel was booked through extremely bad customer service when there is a problem they resolve by hanging up on you which incidentally happened 5 times! If you need more info email me at wkr7wl@gmail. Com . I will NEVER use TripAdvisor again OR this motel 6 or should I say 3 which charged $400 for a room which is FAR FAR worse than a motel 6 . Bad customer service, hotel manager a coward , hiding behind his shameful charges and acts of mis conduct. Hotel full of local drunks and when u book a room from out of town u r a spectacle.

Awesome place! Staff was super nice. Room was perfect. Ben the bartender was fantastic! We were driving back from a long weekend in Hilton Head and decided to stop for the night on our way home. We will definitely be back 😊

This was our second stay at this hotel. The first time, I only stayed one night and had to check out early due to an emergency back home, so I really didn't get a chance to become familiar with the hotel. Having said that, on both trips, I was exceedingly impressed with everyone at the front desk. They're very friendly and professional, though there was one night that the lobby smelled pretty heavily of menthol cigarettes, which I'm guessing may have come from the hotel bar behind the front desk area. I wish I could say more positive about the place, but that's it. This hotel is an old school, drive-up motel that reminds me of an Econo-Lodge in a military town. The parking lot is filthy, it's overrun with people that look related to Honey boo boo, and the rooms are extremely small and very dated. It's the cheapest room in Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island and it shows this in every way. Kids were completely run amok up and down the communal balcony at 11pm when I was trying to sleep. I didn't want to be "that guy" so I didn't complain, but then at 1:45am I was awoken when a bar fight spilled out into the parking lot from the hotel bar. I reached over to the phone to call the front desk, but of course the phone didn't work... In the end, I thoroughly appreciated the fact that the hotel was pet friendly as well as the wonderful front desk staff - especially one African American gentleman that I regret I don't recall his name (starts with an R). He and a lady who said it was her first night there were both extremely professional. Otherwise this was a negative travel experience and we likely won't be returning.

When our trip to Amelia Island had to be extended unexpectedly, we had to find another hotel as ours was booked. It was spring break so there were very few choices. The price for this hotel was pretty low (excluding the 30.00 resort fee) so my expectations were pretty low. The rooms look as though an attempt has been made to modernize but the work must have been done by unskilled workers. The worst part of the stay and the reason I’m writing this review is the bathroom. The floor of the bathtub was covered with soap scum. Even worse, their were beard hairs (lots of them) stuck to the tub floor and surrounding tile. Clearly, the tub had not been cleaned. There is no excuse for rooms not being cleaned well. I would avoid staying here unless it is your only option.

Rooms are nice. But the bathroom area needs work and my microwave did not work. This hotel survives by its location and a friendly bar staff even thought the bar prices are very high. The location is great.
