First let me say I've stayed at this property several times and despite some management problems (I'll discuss in a moment) I have returned. But some of the issues are wearing thing. good: 1) Nice locations, all rooms (mostly) have a beach view 2) Dog friendly (for an extra fee which limits your room selection) not so good: Given this is supposed to be a resort hotel with all the high pricing and extra resort fees. 1) Maid service is not consistent. And they will skip your room. Ended up having to call the desk a couple times just to get fresh towels and toilet paper. 2) Multiple problems with front desk.. I payed $75 for a guaranteed early check-in. And then yep, they tried to say my room wasn't ready. Bad. 3) Problems at checkout. When reviewing my bill in the room, there were charges for beach equipment that were not mine. When I called desk to have them remove charges, they sent me on an Easter egg hunt, told me that the beach concessions were a 3rd party it would have to be removed by them. Of course when calling them they never answered. Finally I went to the front desk and was a similar story. Finally I threw a fit and told them it was their problem, I could care less if it was 3rd party, it was fraud to put it on my bill and had to threaten to dispute the entire credit card bill for the stay. Finally they got the manager who reluctantly removed the charge. I consider this to be "terrible management" at a luxury resort. You don't expose your internal process problems to guests and make it their problem. Depending on how Omni responds to me will determine if I continue to patronize Omni properties.

Great property off the the road behind gates. It is a well-maintained environment and right on the beach. Rooms are nice. The atmosphere and looks reminded us of an all-inclusive hotel in Mexico or Jamaica. Staff were nice. Bob’s steakhouse was outstanding. Pool is nice.

We love the Falcon's nest. Ruddine is our favorite server. She is so sweet and helpful. She is delightful and we just love seeing her there. The food is delish. We've tried almost everything as we go quite often, and it's all very good!

Great fun and our guide Will was a fantastic guide! The Segway was easy to learn even for my mom who is 80. The experience took you past neighbors, golf course, and the Marsh. It was fun for the whole family!

Beautiful location with a wonderful beach. Every room above the second floor has a view of the ocean. The staff seemed a bit on the indifferent side, they weren’t terrible but weren’t great either. Our bed and pillows were very comfortable and the place was showing it’s age a bit too.

I lived in AI for 10 years and have stayed here before several times over the years. We moved away and came back to attend our daughters college soccer game. It was over Labor Day weekend. We got an ocean front King room and paid over 400 a night and all I can say is that it was absolutely NOT worth the cost. The bathroom was covered in mold. The towels were dirty and hard. The safe in the room didn’t work. The bed was old and so uncomfortable. There was dust all Over the furniture. We had issues with gnats and fruit flies and we only ever ate breakfast in the room and immediately set the food outside when we were finished. There were nests of wasps through the hallway. The railing on our balcony was loose and not safe. We realize there is a bit of leeway for hotels but for the cost the basics really need to be covered. Super disappointing. I expect so much more from this level of hotel. Wouldn’t stay here again if we need to come back and I’m Not sure we’d stay at another Omni property again.

For a "high end resort" we found this one to be lacking in a few areas........ we enjoyed our stay as we had a family reunion there. Beautiful huge beach for sure but prior reviewer was correct in that you cannot put beach chairs anywhere you want. They are set up by staff as far back from the water as possible to protect the turtles i think which i respect but if you have kids playing in the water you cannot see them due to the "drop" in the sand by the water's edge. I didn't like how close our lounges were set up next to everyone else - each family was sitting so close to one another that you could hear their conversations. I appreciate a more spread out crowd. Also, for the cost of the room, I feel the beach rentals (lounges and an umbrella) should be included in the cost - felt like we were being charged for something when we shouldn't and it was expensive... but again, the beach and pool very nice. The rooms, at least ours, were very outdated and bare, however my in laws room was very nice so i think some rooms are fine and some are outdated. A $700 room felt like a $300 room to us and by the time you add in all the resort fees your room is another $100 more. Things were typical resort pricey.... but communication amongst staff to guests was horrible. We had made many reservations ahead of time and when any of us would cancel something a day ahead like a dining reservation or a beach lounge rental, we would get phone calls the next day asking us where we were or lounge chairs were set up after being cancelled a day ahead. The communication was poor. Staff was nice though. Service at bar in the lounge right off lobby is very SLOW and bad...... nice people but not great service...Doormen were nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was included in our rate - best meal of the day with tons of options for breakfast - all delicious. Charges other than the gratuity that showed up on room bill for the breakfast buffet though were confusing so I inquired - the front desk clerk couldn't even explain them to me so she waived those other than gratuity. Melissa and the wait staff in Sunrise Cafe were super nice - however, one of the omelette making ladies was not friendly at all. Many dining outlets, some good some not so good. Verandah was delicious but overpriced as a resort usually does. Watch for dining hours as they all have different hours and days they are open. Plan ahead is all i can suggest. Nice property in the end and we had a good time but needs some work in areas of room renovations and communications between staff and customers. And rooms are very pricey for what you get - you're paying for location.
