The location of the property is beautiful; however, the resort is dated and not maintained. The tiles in the shower kept coming off during showers, towel bars were coming out of the wall, toilet kept running and the shower head kept streaming water after the water was turned off. The pool waiter was rude to me and my friends and vented to us about his frustrations with the other guests. It was very inappropriate. What made my stay the most frustrating and disappointing was that I was injured at the pool. The area of the pool I jumped into was not labelled or had a caution sign. I injured both feet and had to be take away via wheelchair. A security officer came to my room with ice packs and directions to the emergency care clinic, stated to me twice, "you're not the first and you won't be the last". This is a problem that needs to be resolved immediately before more people get hurt. I have aircasts on both feet and have had to see an orthopedic doctor, chiropractor and physical therapist for my injuries. The staff didn't seem concerned when I told them what happened. Upon checking out, four bellhops were standing around when my friend rolled me out of the lobby to head to the airport. No one offered to help with our luggage or me in a wheelchair. When my friend asked if there was a ramp, one man said "it's over there". This is not the level of service or experience that is expected from an Omni. While I'd love to come back to Amelia Island, I will not be staying at the Omni.

Hotel's Favorite
I'll start by saying we've been wanting to visit Omni Amelia Island for some time but never got around to it with our travels. Thanks to Covid we were able to make it happen for our anniversary. I read all the reviews before booking and for the life of me can't figure out why people say the rooms are outdated and the entrance (motel style as the say) is dirty. I didn't witness any of this. I will add I am a hotel snob! We checked in on Aug 16th and stayed four nights. Lobby is beautiful and clean and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were "Covid Safe." You catch an elevator off the lobby and find yourself outside to enter your room (I guess this is motel style for most - eyeroll). We stayed in Room 465 with a pool/ocean view. It was updated with beautiful beach feel. Furniture looked new to us and room seemed freshly painted (tan and light blue) Both the room and bathroom were very clean to us. Beautiful view of the ocean front and a nice balcony to sit on each day/night with amazing views. I did not feel like we were in a motel at all. I get people don't like the outside entrance to their room but seriously!!! Disney even has outside room entrances from some of their best hotels. Both pools were great and they had great service if you wanted a drink or food. We do not drink so we did not utilize the bars, but we did order food. The tacos were great! Pricey but what do you expect when your ordering from a hotel restaurant on vacation! We rented bikes and had a great time exploring the ground an some of the private neighborhoods on the other side of A1A. Did not feel the bikes were old and junky either. Ours seemed in good shape for beach bikes and worked just great over the 20miles we rode them. Property grounds were well maintained and they always had workers out picking up trash, fixing pool chairs, collecting dirty towels, etc. Restaurants on site could stay open longer. Most closed by 8pm with one or two open until 10pm. Wish the stores were open later also. Especially the Merchentile where you get snacks and drinks. Would have been nice if they stayed open until at least 10pm versus 5pm. Other then that we had a fantastic time and can't wait to return with friends!!

I would like to thank the staff that attended and cared for my family and I . The pool is always a delight and we had some amazing Bartenders . One that for sure stood out was a gentleman from Georgia . He was there on Saturday but unfortunately off on Sunday . I forget his name but he was outstanding and took great care of us! . The pool recreation manager Alexis was very very attentive to everyone . Going out of her way for each guests and bringing out some special treats for my kids . Thank you for that . We visited Falcons Nest and was taken care of by I believe Joe . But the soul that shines the most was Amy . She was the manager and she was awesome. We chatted about how covid has affected hospitality and I was glad to hear that she and her team are shining stars and making everything and anything happen to make sure guests are enjoying themselves ! If I got these names wrong I apologize . Had a few drinks that trip. But all around everything was great and outstanding. From checking in with Cody to enjoying the amazing bar staff at the pool to dining at the great food choices on property. This is the reason we go and enjoy your property twice a year ! Thank you for everything !

What a wonderful vacation. Our 4th visit back to Amelia and each visit gets better. Awesome room, stunning sunrises, incredible dinners and a Scotch and Chocolate flight that was unforgettable. And let’s not forget the fitness center. Amelia always amazes.

We booked a villa in Captain Court. Our experience was great mostly thanks to the diligence and care by Tabitha at the front desk. She was very helpful from the time we made the reservation to the time we checked out and was very quick in addressing couple of issues we had experienced. The resort has a great location and the villas are very well appointed but what made this excellent was definitely Tabitha’s superb customer service.
