We checked into a nearly empty hotel that could have accomodated us in a slightly larger room than the postage stamp onto which were placed a queen sized bed, a chair, and two slabs related to side tables but which were not large enough to hold more than a clock. But the room's worst feature was the knee knocker of a bathroom with its commode a hair's breadth from the door. In any case, because the bathroom light was not working, we were moved to a suite. It was slightly larger and had an ocean view, Unfortunately the ocean view was through a picture window and a tunnel of hotel exteriors. So much for that. The room was not uncomfortable, just too small for luggage and two adults who are used to a lot more space. It was obvious that the hotel had been renovated. Carpets were fresh and the bathroom facilities were up to date. We were looking forward to breakfast due to previous reviews, but were not rewarded with anything approaching a positive experience. Breakfast hours start at 7. We entered the breakfast area about 5 minutes after the start time and noted that there were no eggs in the pan, no utensils, no pepper, and no oatmeal ready for diners. When we requested tableware we were offered a cardboard box of mixed utensils and asked to select our own. Eggs were finally ready at 7:22. Wanting to cook a waffle, we noted that there was no measuring cup so the possibility of overfilling was more than potential. The user before me had overfilled the machine and was busily sopping up the mess accumulated under it when I took a look at the prep counter. After cooking our waffle we found that there was no removal tool, so before it burned we had to pinch it and drop it into a plate which was only obtainable by walking across the room, There were no plates by the machine. Similarly, there were no bowls by the fruit cup. Visiting in December, we didn't have any issue with parking. However, there are very few spaces, problematic when all 60 something rooms are full. There is a public lot next to the hotel which may offer some help with overflow during busy times.

What a great experience, We were looking for a place near the beach, ( Out the door about steps from the sand) Beautiful ocean view from our room. We could afford a luxury hotel but This was stressssss free clean friendly easy to park (about 50 steps from the hotel exits) Nicest people 1.5 miles from fun shopping area. Hometown atmosphere in town great eating places, Thank you Jean and Daisa always being there for us Bob and Betz F

We were so pleased with our beachfront view third floor room! It was wonderfully fresh, clean and comfortable with a sweeping ocean view just as advertised. While we were disappointed there was no breakfast service available after having seen reviews of great made to order breakfasts, we do understand that staffing shortages happen. The one staff member on duty was pleasant and did have recommendations of close by breakfast options to offer. If we come back to Amelia Island in the future, we will certainly return to Seaside Amelia Inn.

Absolutely disgusting. Where do I start? When I walked into the lobby I was hit by the most overwhelming scent of vanilla air freshener, to the point of giving me a headache. When we rode the elevator up to the third floor there was a maintenance crew installing new locks. There was equipment all over the place, the sound of loud drills, and the female on the crew was loudly yelling obscenities starting with “f” and “s” that we could hear in our room. To top it off, we could not leave our room or lay down and relax after a long trip because our door did not have a lock on it and the drilling and talking were so loud. After they finally finished installing the lock, there was foam from the hollow core door all over the floor in our room. That is we found out that they do not offer room cleaning during your stay! When I walked into the bathroom, the shower was full of sand, telling me that it was not cleaned and there were only two, thin towels. The rest of the very small room was covered in dust, and there were ants in the bathroom, bedside tables, and the coffee table. They had no additional rooms so we had no choice but to deal with it. Each morning I woke up with bug bites on my arms and chest. The bed had one sheet and one thread-bare blanket. At night our room was so noisy that it sounded like we were in a wind tunnel, however, when we would open the door, the noise would go away. I felt totally gross and was unable to get comfortable due to all of these factors. It was dirty, buggy, poorly staffed, and a complete rip off at $300.00 per night. Don’t walk away, run! Terrible experience and terrible hotel! For the same price you can stay at the Omni, which is beautiful, has a private beach and giant pools.

I was looking forward to a couple of easy seaside days when I made a reservation here. I will start with the positives. Vanessa on the front desk was kind friendly and did her best but hotel is obviously understaffed ( nothing new there). The hotel is newly refurbished and attractive and the bed was comfortable. The negatives:; My room wasn’t ready until after 4:30 when check in is 4:00. Apparently not enough housekeeping staff. The room had tiny ants all over the place, the lock on the door to the tiny balcony was jammed and the new shades were already broken. I tried to call front desk to voice concerns but no one answered and I was disconnected. It’s a great location on Main Beach but I wish I had stayed somewhere else.

I would have rated this hotel a 5, but for the difficulty of entering the hotel from the outside. Entrances are not w.heelchair friendly at all (see pics). The front entry has several steps, and the back entrance by way of the parking deck requires you to wheel up a 25 foot 40 degree incline ramp which is also used for parking. I could not make that climb in my wheelchair because the steepness would cause me to tumble backward. Only with assistance pushing from my spouse was I able wheel up or down this dangerous ramp. THE ENTRYWAYS DEFINITELY NEED HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE IMPROVEMENT! Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful. The staff are very attentive and responsive. The front desk, kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were all very eager to make us comfortable. The rooms are comfortable and clean and there are recent renovations throughout the hotel. Handicap accessible rooms have balconies with partial ocean view. Free breakfast and internet. Will stay here again. but please make entryways handicap accessible!

We were happy with our stay. The staff was nice and courteous. Facility was clean and smelled fresh. It's location was perfect being a 2 minute walk to the ocean and had 2 decent restaurants within less than a 4 minute walk; Salt Life and the Sandbar. There was plenty of parking. The location is at the corner of a central park. The beach was very nice and while it may have been timing it was not crowded. The breakfast was great. The cook, a very sweet lady, whipped us up a nice meal in short order. We will plan to stay again. Recommend it!

The view from our room was amazing! Beachfront- it couldn't be better. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, so many other things didn't work: AC and TV in the bedroom, WiFi in the whole hotel area. Pool was closed. We had booked for a family of four. The bed for the kids was not made, when we opened the couch we found used sheets and linen. We were then given additional sheets at the reception but were told that we had to make the beds ourselves because they didn't have enough staff. We only had 2 towels and had to ask for additional towels. Instead, we found a used wet towel in a drawer. One of the elevators rumbled and made creepy noises, we were never sure whether it would really stop at floor three. At breakfast, everything was served in plastic or paper, and the food tasted poorly. The hotel is under renovation, so the outer area looks run down, the garage is full of trash. I understand that during a renovation not all services can run perfectly. But then you simply can't book all the rooms, and especially you would have to considerably lower the rates. We paid $360 for one night! This price was absolutely not justified - not even by the view.

We arrive early & the front desk staff (young lady ) was very nice & customer service oriented, our room was ready as we arrived early (around 11am) We stayed in a ground floor room #123 with a Queen Bed (bed was comfortable, however I had requested a KING when I made the reservation direct with hotel) when I asked the Front desk person why I had a Queen when I clearly specified a King, she said sorry we only have one KING on this floor (pet Friendly rooms) and is given out to another guest, but you do have a pull out couch The Door blind in our room was torn up, I asked if it can be change out, but it never happened, as you could see from the outside into our room to the living room space, so I wasn't able to take advantage of the pullout couch Value for stay was not bad, as we were on the beach, the hotel is Pet Friendly which is a must for us, Pet Friendly-(100.00 one-time fee for pet, non-refundable) on Saturday we paid $474.00 for our room NOT worth it all, other days $245.00 per day Room was clean for the most part and recently remodel. However, because we have a small pet I check under the bed, and couches etc… & found a pair of reading glasses under the bed, my husband was putting items in Fridge when he finds medicine bottles frozen, just thrown in freezer we removed and brought to the front desk, apparently it was shrimp in those bottles, bottom line who knows how long that was there. The Hotel has been under renovations, (had i known that I would of not stayed here) When we arrived the lobby was a mess, as well as the back of the hotel due to construction, they had a huge garbage container which was not appealing to see as you walked to the beach daily. By the time we left on Tuesday the lobby was set up with furniture and being cleaned from the construction The small kitchenette area has a small fridge, sink, Microwave, Keurig Coffee machine. Nice big bathroom Pool-There’s one small pool & it's shared with Condo next door, & no hot tub, the pool area is in NOT well maintained at all, furniture is falling apart, Dirty a power wash would do wonders, ( I never saw anyone clean the pool deck Saturday Monday-Tuesday am I did notice a power wash machine outside in the pool deck area) As we walked outside from our room to the pool there was garbage (broken umbrella & 4 medal post of some sort) right outside my door, for two days I requested it be cleaned, finally day two when we got back from the beach, I moved it over to the door where everyone comes in and out via main Lobby and it got removed that afternoon late. Hotel is non Smoking but everyone come to the pool area to smoke- then you get to see and smell cigarette in the pool area Parking- we did have parking on site, no Valet service. The parking lot is under the Hotel & shared with Condo next door, very Dark (during the day, at Night it was well lighted) and dirty down there with old furniture etc... Limited spaces they also have parking across the street & on the side of the hotel, you will take the elevator from garage to come into eh Hotel, we didn’t care for this set up at all Housekeeping staff was very friendly & accommodating providing extra towels There was no Housekeeping service during our stay, due to "Covid protocols" Front desk staff for the most part was nice, and friendly at times there's no one at the front desk, seems like the front desk staff also does laundry or other duties Pool / Beach Towels are provided but you fill out paper work then bring back to the front desk along with towels once you’re done with towels (I thought this was tacky, and I’m on vacation do I really want to do appear work to check out towels? NO) I had brought my own beach towels, so I only used the their towels once and never again. They provide free coffee daily as of 06:30 am at the lobby, along with a hot breakfast as of 07;00am daily which was quite nice and fresh, scramble Eggs bacon, or sausage breads cereal etc.... I was never offered chocolate chip cookies or lemonade as they advertise on their website Noise level not bad very quiet place Beach access was great, Rental of two chairs and one umbrella is $48.00 per day, via third party company across the street, We brought our own Overall I would recommend this place it's NOT my idea of a Bed and breakfast or resort environment as it lacked in some aspects of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property, Coby was absolutely wonderful Thank you
