Enjoyed the visit to Everglades City. After searching for lodging and reading the reviews we decided to stay at Ivey House. Due to COVID-19 they were not serving breakfast so we improvised with our own amenities. They do have bikes available for use with a liability release. I am pleased to know that they are being cautious and following CDC guidelines. I did however learn that they were owned by a foreign-owned Holdings company and not locally owned. We always try to support locally owned and operated businesses. That being said unless I can find a VRBO I would consider staying there again.

This was our first time to the Everglades and we booked a package with Captain Jacks Airboat tour and Ivey House. This location is prime. You are close by gas stations, the national parks, 41 highway which is amazing to see gators, restaurants and more. You are walking distance to most of the restaurants, gas stations, and airboat tours. The hotel was incredibly clean, the staff was considerate and kind, and the suite rooms were beautiful. This location does have kayak rentals, bike rentals and more. We were so pleased with our stay we plan on booking again shortly and bringing some family members along to have the same experience. Thank you!

Basic hotel, beyond basic staff. The valve in the shower broke and water couldn't be turned off. Front desk folks immediately called off site maintenance and immediately gave us a key to another room. No inconvenience to us. Hotel is clean, all staff has a big hello & smile, screened pool & convenient location. Everglades is true old Florida in every way. Best seafood ever!

First off, the staff were friendly and responsive, which we always appreciate. And the room we had (#33), was quiet, and met our basic needs. The bathroom and shower, also met our basic needs. The beds in the room were comfortable, but the pillows were old and the pillow cases were pilled. The towels were old and some frayed. The view from our room overlooked trash cans in the back of the property. The lighting in the room was dark and one light bulb didn't work. The curtain was partially unhooked from the rod in one section. The seal around the fridge door, came un-done, but was an easy fix once we figured out the issue. There were also no hangers in the room. The room itself was in definite need of upgrades and for the cost of the room, we expected more.

The pool was clean and while small, it was pleasant to swim in. We very much appreciated having laundry facilities there, as we were in the midst of a month long trip, although one of the two washing machines did not work well. I was thankful that staff were able to fix it, without me having to reload money into it.

The hotel was located very close to the airboat tours, and within walking distance to a nice seafood place for dinner, and a breakfast place. Sadly, the breakfast service at the hotel, was closed due to the pandemic.

The hotel isn’t horrible, but for the price, it should be super nice! Very basic room. No dirty laundry bag, no Kleenex and toilet paper is like sandpaper.
Room needs new furniture and the whole building needs updating. Too expensive for what you receive and no breakfast or at least a discount offered for area restaurants would be nice.

We started in a room that was supposed to have a kitchenette. It has a good size fridge, microwave, dishwasher! But not plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, tea towels, wash cloth or dishwasher tabs or liquid. We asked for plate’s Cutlery etc. have us 2 plastic lives & forks. Told us to go the the convenience store & buy paper plates!
Would not give us a toaster.
We ask for some pool towels to go to the oil but we’re told that because we were staying in the rooms with a so called kitchenette we weren’t allow to us the pool only the people in the main part of the building can you to pool! WTF!
We are traveling from Australia so fo not have any of the things you need in a kitchen, that’s why we chose this place extremely disappointing!!
Do not bother coming here!

The room was average and given the price, we expected more. The room was clean but it was also very dated. Bring your own toiletries as the ones provided are minimal and not great quality. Plugs for charging devices are inconvenient. When the internet in the room did not work and we tried to sit in the vacant dining room to access the internet we were told we could not sit there. When I asked for change for a $20 so I could tip housekeeping I was told to go to the gas station to get change.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms. Our family of four stayed here for four nights this past week. The front desk staff was very helpful in giving out information on eateries and local attractions. We were very pleased with our accommodations and will definitely stay here again when in town.

This property has a unique charm, a mix of old Florida with some updates. There is a parking lot across the street with ample parking. Check in was simple but keep in mind that staff is not on site 24/7, if you need to check in after 9pm you have to call to arrange and check out is not until 8am or later. The room felt dated and in need of new furniture. The mattress was softer than I like but I did sleep well. (it was very quiet) There were limited outlets in the room and I had to plug the TV/cable box in to turn them on, I am assuming the previous guests need the outlet more than the tv. There was a pool in the inner courtyard which is still open to the air so it wasn't warm enough for me to even think about swimming. No breakfast is provided but there are some restaurants in town and there is a minifridge and microwave in the room. This location worked for our early morning Swamp Buggy Ride in Big Cypress Preserve.

The staff here were wonderful and helpful. We stayed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We were given a print out indicating which restaurants were open or closed for the holidays which was very helpful. I had left my camera battery recharger which was promptly mailed to me after I called. The breakfast was more than adequate, certainly not gourmet, but decent amount of choices with constant restocking. The rooms are older, nothing special but clean and functional.
