I really loved this hotel. This town is pretty small, but the hotel is very clean and comfortable, comparable to the standard of a major chain hotel, which I thought was impressive in a small place. The pool was great, adn we loved swimming to cool off after a day out, and had fun getting to know other travellers there. There is no food at the hotel at present, and there are only a couple of places in town, but they are fairly close. This is a good location for everything you need to do in this area. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, who are really helpful and lovely people. Couldn't say enough good things about them.
We picked this hotel after seeing the reviews of the new suites . The lady that checked us in was super nice. Giving us directions to everything around us and recommendations. Our room was really nice. The only issue was.... I went to put our shower supplies in the shower and noticed the shower caddy was covered with ants and they were crawling down the shower wall. I quickly called the front desk and a maintenance man was sent over immediately. He sprayed something and took care of the problem / not a huge deal because we are in the Everglades and things like this can’t be helped . The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean and pretty. Would stay here again.
Spent a night at Ivey House in a much needed escape from city life. Convienient to all we planned to do while in Everglades City. Easy walk from there to several restaurants, Simple and clean. Quiet even though it was a full house. Desk staff and housekeeping staff responsive and helpful.
We stayed in the new building. One of the most beautiful comfortable rooms we have stayed while on vacation. New accommodations wonderful beds. The decorations are so tastefully done. We tried to book a room on our way back and were disappointed that it was booked up. We will surely be back.
First off, the staff were friendly and responsive, which we always appreciate. And the room we had (#33), was quiet, and met our basic needs. The bathroom and shower, also met our basic needs. The beds in the room were comfortable, but the pillows were old and the pillow cases were pilled. The towels were old and some frayed. The view from our room overlooked trash cans in the back of the property. The lighting in the room was dark and one light bulb didn't work. The curtain was partially unhooked from the rod in one section. The seal around the fridge door, came un-done, but was an easy fix once we figured out the issue. There were also no hangers in the room. The room itself was in definite need of upgrades and for the cost of the room, we expected more. The pool was clean and while small, it was pleasant to swim in. We very much appreciated having laundry facilities there, as we were in the midst of a month long trip, although one of the two washing machines did not work well. I was thankful that staff were able to fix it, without me having to reload money into it. The hotel was located very close to the airboat tours, and within walking distance to a nice seafood place for dinner, and a breakfast place. Sadly, the breakfast service at the hotel, was closed due to the pandemic.…
