we stayed in a waterfront villa.. it was really charming with a screened porch .. the pesky mosquitoes were particularly active and still found a way in though.. the pool was lovely and the view superb... the location of the captains table is fantastic for restaurants and the local supermarket... the villa was well furnished and reasonably priced.. Andy, at...

I give it 5 stars out of 5 because it met my expectations, not because it's luxurious. It's a good example of how older lodging can be perfectly clean and acceptable. We stayed in Lodge Room 212, upstairs, non-smoking. NOT NEW: - staircase (some chipped edges, but not at all unsafe) - hallway carpet (few dark stains, but no smell,...

We stayed at The Captain's Table for three days and with their great rates, parents and two teenagers had separate rooms with screened porch and sundeck. Clean, simple and convenient with a great pool overlooking Lake Placid close to the Everglades National Park and Cypress Preserve. Adjacent restaurant, The Depot, was a hundred yard walk to reasonably priced food, including...

The Captain's Table was a great economic choice for a one night stay in Everglades City. The hotel is old but the rooms have been redone - nothing fancy but clean and comfy. There is a nice pool that sits right on the river - great view. They also have toast and coffee and juice. Neither the pool or breakfast...

We were pleasantly surprised as some earlier reviews were a bit negative. Room 214 in the hotel was perfectly alright and the covered in porch was nice. We liked the easy walking access to the water front and would recommend the restaurant a few steps away. Good food at a fair price. The only downside was that there was no...

We were supposed to stay only one night in Everglades city but we decided to stay one more night because the city offered lots of things to do and the hotel was a great value. There is a nice swimming pool with a view on the groves....very nice i will highly recommend this hotel.

The Captain's Table Hotel was a great place to stay as we explored the western Everglades. Very economical. It is not fancy but it is everything you need to enjoy the wonderful nature of this laid back area of Florida. This is our second time at this hotel. The rooms with the balcony, porch, are the best. They are roomier...

This is a nice place to stay considering there are very few choices in Florida City. We had no major problems at all. Our room was small, but adequate. We did get a room with a back porch, which I must say is totally unnecessary unless you are a smoker. There is only a view of the parking lot from...

First, to help better understand this location, it is not a hotel. Capt. Table is a rental agent for what was a hotel complex but is now all condos (including the old motel rooms). That said, the staff was friendly and helpful. The first villa we moved into had a problem with the refrig. and we were moved into a...

The Captain's Table Lodge and Villas is on the waterfront in Everglades City FL. We stayed here for 2 nights during our recent trip to the Everglades. We rented a one bedroom apartment with a screened in porch. The accomodations were fine with us. Our only problem was with the gentleman who was the manager in the morning. He complained...
