We booked the only room with a kitchen as I have food allergies and need to make my own food. They charged us a LOT. The room was big and the kitchen was big, but there was no phone service in the area and no phone in the room and the people renting the room were 1/2 miles away. There was no dresser drawers so you had to put your clothes on the floor. No hangers, no plunger, the shower door did not close so the bathroom floor was wet. No mop, no paper towels. I very small kitchen towel. There is a huge tv, but you had to move the couch if you wanted to sit on it and plug in your lap top as all the outlets were in the wrong place. A fan with no electronic control and so it was on or off. There were two rooms but there was only 1 bedside table stand for each room. The bathroom counter was only big enough for 1 person to put their bathroom bag because they rest of the counter was stacked with towels. There was room for a table to put towels on, but no table so no counter space. You could not put the towels on the floor because the shower door issue. So, if another women was there with me, we would of had to fight for counter space in the bathroom. Oh, the best part, there is someone living in the back room!!! Creepy!! I tried to go out the back door in the Kitchen to see if I took my phone outside whether it would work and I opened the door and someone's underwear and clothes were all over the floor.... We stayed the next 2 days in Naples about 30 minutes away for $60 less per night and it was worth it.

We did a road trip around the Everglades and stayed the night at the Everglades City Motel. It was expensive (I think $175/night) for a crummy little room with very modest upgrades. Seems like hotels are expensive in the area, maybe because it seems like an up and coming tourist destination--but I would look around before booking here.

We spent the night here before a kayak/camping tour. Everyone there was very pleasant on check in and check out. This motel is a couple blocks down from where you check in at the Ivey House, but the check in is well marked on a big sign at the road. Our room was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast is served in the dining room also at Ivey House. The breakfast had a lot of delicious selections. We would definitely stay here again!

Typical US style motel. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff was very helpful and handed out a lot of information about the location. The motel was renovated since my last stay in 2004. Restaurant and 24h gas station next door.
