I don’t know where to begin... the power went out overnight, so in the morning that means no coffee, no breakfast, no hot water...when I asked if there was going to be any type of consideration on the bill the answer was a flat, snarky “no”. I’ve lived in Florida my whole life, so I’m used to humidity, but the entire room was like a swamp. If you sat on a chair your butt got wet. Water would drip on you while sitting on the toilet. The beach was covered with tree debris and random pieces of lumber. There was absolutely no WiFi at all (we couldn’t even locate the network) and the cell service was virtually nonexistent - I understand going there to “unplug” but it would be nice to have the ability to text or call a friend or search the web to check the weather. For the price they charge I felt like a robbery victim. The absolute lack of any concern WHATSOEVER about having NO POWER and thus no ability to even make a morning cup of coffee was unconscionable. Like the title says, Never Again.…
Rm #4 stayed 3 days here. My husband and I totally enjoyed every moment we were there. Quiet atmosphere and hardly anyone on the beach. Found lot's of shells and sharks teeth. Room supplied everything that we needed for fixing our small romantic meals. Couldn't ask for anything better with a beach front room.Office and staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back. So glad we found this place! : )
This is a hidden gem! Stayed in Rm #7. Clean, comfortable, King-sized bed, walk-in closet, a Safe to lock up valuables, kitchenette with essentials, including an Induction cooking appliance. Private Beach for hotel guests was clean and not crowded. We were the only two on the beach until around 1:00, when a family arrived. At shoreline, we found a variety of small shark teeth. We did not venture out onto sand bar but certainly will next time. There are sea turtle beds everywhere! It was exciting to discover those that were made overnight by following their fin prints and belly slides to/from beach. We appreciated quaintness of this small, boutique place to stay. The only negative we encountered was that of inconsiderate guests who sat or walked around on the deck for hours, smoking. To get to our room, we had to walk through their smoke. Guests should not be subjected to second-hand smoke. Especially, those who have Asthma, COPD or other lung issues. Perhaps this ‘shared’ space should be designated as Non-Smoking, too? Guests are allowed to smoke on their individual porches right outside their room door. We needed this time to unplug from electronics and stresses of daily life. We unexpectedly found a kindred spirit in Kimberly who handled our reservations and answered all our first-timer questions! Thank you! We look forward to staying here again and again!…
Remote location, right on the beautiful beach. Well maintained and clean. Truly a great place to unplug as there is little to no cell service and their wifi is really poor due to this. So... if you want to get away from it all, this is a little slice of heaven. If you have to work, it's difficult. Bare bones motel but truly worth every cent. You can not beat being able to walk out to the beach. Everyone on the property was friendly.
