This place is wonderful. The accomodations are excellent, the prices are great and the people are the best. This is our fourth time there and the experiences have always been great. The sunsets there are beautiful and there are pet peacocks there which is very unique.

We vacationed here with two couples and two preteen/teenage boys. After reading the great reviews of this little lodge we decided to book our stay since the rates were incredible. $600 for an entire week stay on the bayfront was astonishing. Fast forward to the actual trip. We arrive to our humble abode for the week and notice that the... More

My husband and I first stayed here over 10 years ago. We started in the bayfront kitchenette rooms and have moved up to the large family duplexes as our family has grown. All the rooms we have stayed in over the years are clean and well supplied. This is not a fancy place but it is a GREAT place! We... More

Where do I start ? This place is great ! Located on the Apalachicola bay, quiet, except for the peacocks. We had one roost in the tree right next to our one room cottage (unit #10) both nights. If your looking for QUIET during the day time hours, this is the place. If your looking for quiet time at night... More

We only stayed one night here, but we enjoyed it. The views from the balcony of our room were incredible. We loved that we were steps away from fishing, even though we did not get a chance to fish. The kitchenette also came in handy when we realized it was too late to eat at most restaurants. The room was... More

Well we felt like we had stepped back in time many years. The place is right on the water. This area is very slow paced. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We also had a kitchen in our unit 27. If you want something fancy this is not for you. If you want to relax then it... More

My wife and I stayed at the Sportsman's Lodge when I had to play with my band for 3 days in the Apalachicola area. We stayed here because it was booked for us by the band leader. If you're used to staying on the 20th floor of the Hilton, then perhaps it's not for you. If you want nice, large... More

This place will do in a pinch. Sort of. The water is disgusting - sulfur and iron like you've never seen before. You can't cook with it, have to bathe in it, so be prepared. There is a junkyard on site, behind a falling down wooden fence, with stuff strewn everywhere. Yes, the peacocks are beautiful, but the random dogs... More

This place is a hoot! We did not choose this place, it chose us when it was the only thing available at the last minute close to the Florida Seafood Festival in Apalachicola. The owner, Etta, was so kind, calling me back within hours of wait-listing me to confirm my room and her husband upped the kindness by going above... More
