My husband and I are are generally not B and B people, we like a little more private and were worried. Worries be gone. This was probably one of best set ups I have ever seen. From the moment we checked in with ease. " a little phone call , followed by a room code, took about 3 minutes total, everything was that simple. Breakfast was delivered to our doorstep and was first rate. When we mentioned the beach, a beach bag with sunscreen , towels and chairs were at our doorstep. The unit we stayed in was so spacious and had all the little extras you would expect in your own home. Its right in downtown, so there is a little noise on the weekends, but it is a treat to sit outside and enjoy the fun surroundings, yet in your own space. There is so much more I could say, but the truth is, I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for the sweetest getaway.

Property's Favorite Review
My wife and I were apprehensive about our stay this past Christmas, since we had learned of the sale of the inn in July 2018 and we weren't sure anybody could maintain the extremely high standards of previous owners David and Frank, but Heather and JJ are doing a stellar job. They've even kept some of the healthful but incredibly tasty breakfast recipes from the former folks, and Heather is proving up to the exacting task of preparing them. (And they still deliver them to you in your room, so the privacy is unchanged, too--that's something we've always valued highly. There are common areas where you can get together with other guests whom you might meet if you so choose. But if you're feeling especially introverted or just tired, and you don't? No need to get chummy with anybody.) Some nice upgrades to the Zen Suite (formerly the Asian Suite), which otherwise hasn't been renovated yet include a comfortable new mattress and pillows on the queen bed, a keypad lock on the hall door, a smart speaker, and a new 18"-high toilet in the bathroom--a welcome addition for those of us, uh ... more "mature" types with bad knees. The porch adjoining the Zen Suite is still private--our favorite place for breakfast--and the entire facility is now completely non-smoking/non-vaping, which we also welcome. We had the same tranquil, restful stay we've had on our previous sixteen (? maybe just 15--we've lost count) visits to the Meranova, and we have gladly booked our stay for next year again.

Thank you both so much for this amazing review and "taking a risk" staying with new owners! We really really appreciate the long term loyalty and kind words. Thank you for noticing all the little upgrades and we can't wait to wow you next year with a few more and even better food hopefully!

We liked Dunedin and found a room at Meranova for the night. This B&B has a colonial feel to it, and it’s very central location is good for the restaurants and shops. Our host brought us brandy and chocolate brownies – an unusual welcome! We had an apartment which was OK and a good size, but the air conditioning unit was rather noisy and right by the head of the bed. Breakfast however was exceptionally good, with eggs benedict, fruit, yogurt, etc delivered to the little terrace by our apartment. The quoted room rate was increased by a one-off “resort fee” of $15, which made our one night stay quite pricey. (It seems Meranova is the only accommodation in Dunedin which uses this rather dubious way of inflating prices, which is more common around Miami and the Keys.) We found better value elsewhere around town.

Hello Richard and Rosie, We are so happy you found our gourmet organic brunch delightful and are the only hotel in Dunedin to serve that kind of brunch to your door. Part of the charm of staying in a 1910 historic house is the history and noises that come with that home. We are sorry you found the strong cooling AC to be bothersome. Us Floridans adore it however, in any form, especially mid summer. We provide sound machines in every room next to the beds to help light sleepers. We strive to always be transparent with taxes and our 1 time per booking $15 resort fee. It sounds like whoever you booked with forgot to add that on when they told you the total over the phone. We do send a confirmation email breaking down all fees immediately when booked. Your $150 rate for low season included 2 gourmet brunches (which is normally $15/adult when not included in rate). Please know you can reach out to us anytime for a refund. We don't want you to feel misled. We weren't given a phone number for you so I'm sending this by email and responding here so you are aware. We are 1 of 3 hotels in Dunedin that charges resort fees, there are only about 7 total in our little town. Just 5min away in Clearwater beach many of the hotels charge DAILY $20-40 resort fees. We are fairly priced for the level of service/quality rooms/location and have done the research to justify our rates. Thank you for your feedback. In exchange for the $15 resort fee, we are able to provide all guests with Concierge service which goes well above what you will find at any other hotel. We include the following complimentary: The fastest available WiFi, luxurious William Roam (US made/women owned) toiletries, plush robes in room, edible organic/native gardens, pristine heated pool, local Kahwa coffee in room w/ French press and grinders, fresh cream in fridge, homemade brownies, high end brandy, every beach supply you could want/need (bags, towels, chairs, coolers, tents, umbrellas, sunscreen, hats & bug spray) and plenty of parking in the middle of downtown Dunedin. We just renovated all the room in the last 6 months as well, so all rooms have wood or tile floors, paint, new memory foam mattresses in all rooms, high end lighting, new toilets, and keyless entry Schlage door locks. We are less than 1/2 mile from the waterfront, 1 block to 8 breweries and a 5min walk to over 30 restaurants/bars/shops.

My husband and I stayed at Meranova for our honeymoon, and it was also our first Bed & Breakfast. The room we booked was very spacious, clean and homey. The outside gardens and sitting areas were gorgeous and well maintained. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool as well! We had a little issue with our shower, but the staff were very attentive and fixed the problem right away. We were also given a complementary brunch, and it incredibly delicious. It’s unfortunate that we live out of state, because we would absolutely love to visit again. Perhaps we will in the future, because our stay was very wonderful. We thank the owners Heather and JJ, as well as the lovely staff at Meranova, for making our honeymoon so memorable!

Just returned from Sunday brunch at this exquisite hostelry in the heart of Dunedin, FL... Dining at a secluded table in the glorious gardens of the property, we were treated to an array of culinary delights from the delightful chef and owner, presented by her charming and accomodating servers. We were also dazzled with a tour of the guest house, itself, by the owner and manager. What a truly captivating and charming place in which to visit and stay!!! This venue is a must for anyone visiting the area!
