This little family-owned motel is awesome, even during the pandemic. Very clean! Everything we needed. Kitchen, separate living area. Comfortable bed (could use better pillows). New wall A/C provided white noise without being too noisy. Great breakfast restaurant next door (Covered Bridge). Close to downtown Dunedin. And the price made it much better than the fancier hotels nearby.
My wife and I stayed in the Palm Court Motel while visiting her father in January of 2020. He tipped us off to the place, and we're delighted that he did. My wife and I are suckers for old-school, retro, midcentury style. While there is no shortage of old school midcentury motor lodges around this part of Florida, a pretty good chunk of them seem run-down at best, and like something you'd see in an episode of Breaking Bad at worst. This spot was absolutely neither. From what my father-in-law said, the current owner— who lives there and is probably the one who will check you in— bought the place in relatively rough shape, and has put a ton of work into fixing it up. Fortunately, in doing so, she's really kept the soul of the place intact. The neon sign out front, for example, looks like a well-maintained original, but it's actually a pretty expensive reproduction designed to fit right in with the signs of the era. Cool. I'm not sure what the other rooms look like, but our room, which was the closest one to the office, had a little dining area, kitchenette stocked with essential cookware, utensils, plates, silverware, and things like that, a couch and a TV. The bed was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. She definitely put a bunch of time into the beach-themed decorations. The attached restaurant, The Covered Bridge has tasty, well-priced breakfast standard and seems to serve a crowd of mostly locals. There's a convenience store next door which was convenient when I wanted to grab a beer to have as a night cap in my room. My wife spent some time in the pool... it looked immaculately clean. We didn't see anybody else using the pool while we were there at all, but I imagine that us being from up north meant that we had a broader view of what we'd consider appropriate January pool weather. There were also bikes to use, and a bunch of beach stuff like beach bags, blankets, water toys, and stuff like that. Really cute. Absolutely will stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Dunedin.…
This little motel is one of our favorite places. very clean, most friendly, great little pool, right on the bike path and free bikes!!! You get a little kitchen, a good flat screen and its convienently located.
This was a very clean, lovely motel that was highly recommended by a friend. It had everything I needed in a small room. The staff was very welcoming and I only wish I would have had more time to spend there. There was only one drawback in that the beach was further than I thought. Other than that, I would recommend it to my friends.
I visited the town of Dunedin & Palm Court for the first time in February of 2018. We returned in February of 2019 and we have our reservations made for February of 2020. Great place! in a great location with all the comforts of home. Love the Palm Court and the town of Dunedin!
