Helicopters and planes fly very close overhead all day long right up til it gets dark. If we weren’t 6 1/2 hours from home we would have left the first day. The beach is beautiful and the campsites are very spacious and private. Too bad you can’t enjoy them because of the constant, obnoxiously loud air traffic.
Great campground very clean and very friendly staff. Great beach. Very private camp sites. Modern clean bathrooms. Noise is absolutely horrendous. From constant helicopter ride fly overs to go cart tracks just outside the park with loud music and bright lights. Traffic to the park is absolutely insane. The park is a jewel but is being smothered by the surrounding growth of stores, restaurants, and attractions. Won’t be back
We stayed a !couple nights here on way back to Texas from Florida in November...very nice campgrounds.(if you can get in!) I would highly recommend a reservation and stay for few nights minimum...there are great places to eat seafood and shop outside the main gates...nice park.
Although there are only60 sites, this is, by far, the best beach campground! Natural vegetation surrounding each site, beautiful boardwalk to beach, sparkling clean restrooms, and gorgeous sunsets! Hard to top this place! Need to make reservations early as they are always full. No sewer at site, but not a downer.
Great Beach. We Spent the whole day just relaxing on the beach. Always take plenty of Sun Screen. The white sand is amazing, If You stay in a hotel away from the beach. This is a great public beach. Its easy to find and wasnt that crowded.
