I went to a Family Birthday/Reunion in North Bennington, VT. I was the lucky person to stay in the cottage all by myself - lucky me!!! It was a very nice escape from NYC. The cottage was quiet. In the morning on the other side of the property I could see people taking horse lessons. I ate breakfast in the... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in October 2015. We stayed in the Cottage, which was extremely comfortable, with a small kitchenette and fridge. The whole place was incredibly peaceful, with a large duck pond and horses in the paddocks. Breakfast was in the conservatory overlooking the pond, and was tasty and plentiful. The individual muffin-style breads on... More

What a fantastic location. So so pretty and pleasing. Delightful hosts ( including Rhythm the dog) and really comfortable room. Breakfast in the conservatory was a real treat. Really should have planned to stay longer the just one night!

My husband and I planned a weekend getaway for our one year wedding anniversary and were very pleased with the Taraden. Nan and Bob are very welcoming and provided us with a very nice weekend. We stayed in their Night Pasture Room and it was great. Very clean and comfy. We had our own entrance, living room and bathroom. I... More

We were very pleased with our stay at Taraden. The cottage was very comfortable, and had all we needed. The hosts were warm, friendly, informative, and helpful. The breakfasts of fresh fruit bowl, coffee, a wide variety of teas, freshly baked small breads, and a hot entree were wonderful, especially enhanced by the view from the dining room overlooking the... Stayed here one night while travelling through Vermont from Burlington to Newport. Really glad I found this place on Tripadvisor, it's fantastic. Beautiful quiet setting on the fringe of Bennington, with it's own duck pond. Owners were super friendly, food excellent, room great. As a bit of an aside they have a really beautiful dog with different colour eyes. Gentle... More

What a beautiful and peaceful getaway! Nan & Bob were extremely welcoming and hospitable - what more could you ask for when you're greeted with a painting-worthy landscape, delicious breakfast, horses, cats, and even a dog and a fox! The Cottage room was quiet, clean, quaint, and comfortable - we didn't want to leave. If you love nature and hiking,... More

My family and I had a wonderful weekend getaway in VT and staying at Taraden was like being in heaven. The hospitality Nan and Bob provided us was spectacular! They made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in the door. The room was spectacular, not to mention very comfortable and beautiful! The meals that were provided were... More

Stayed here in North Bennington during our first, but hopefully not our last, visit to beautiful and spectacular Vermont. Situated on twenty acres in the foothills of the Green Mountains, Taraden is wonderfully located and benefits from having two of the most pleasant and accommodating hosts you are ever likely to find. We stayed in 'The Cottage' a beautifully converted... More

Excellent quality, hospitality, cleanliness and food. Whole heartedly recommend staying at this B&B. You'll get the personalized touch, local knowledge, quiet setting and a warm and friendly welcome, with expense little more than the much poorer quality economy hotels down the road in Bennington. Would definitely go back if visiting the area again. Ask for the maple corn bread... outstanding!
