We’re pleased with our selection to stay overnight at historic Sundy House. The grounds are beautiful---statues and gazebos amidst lush plants and ponds. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the placement of outdoor tables within the gardens is inviting for a meal. Location is within walking distance of Atlantic Avenue with lots of restaurants and shops. The rooms for lodging are at the back of the property; you walk through the gardens to gain access. Our bedroom and bathroom were large, clean, and comfortable. Nothing fancy at all, but it worked for us. The only drawback was the continental breakfast. No one was at the front desk when we tried to find the breakfast area. When we found it, we were disappointed that it only consisted of coffee/tea and granola cereal.

The outdoor setting here is beautiful. Like a beautiful park, with water ways & trees & gazebos. Love coming here on the last Thursday of the month when they have "Cuban Night" There is a live Cuban group playing music outside & dancing and the dining has a Cuban buffet.

The oysters were really really good so it was the crab legs. Very nice landscaping and food. Everyone in the hotel were very friendly. Bottomless Bloody Mary and champagne. Valet parking is only $7. The charcuterie table was pretty amazing too and overall, everything was super clean.

I'll start with the good. We stayed for four days for a wedding. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The wedding went smoothly and the service was good. The food was excellent. The location is great, within walking distance to nice restaurants and shops. The bad: The rooms were dirty, like they hadn't been cleaned at all. There was visible trash (glitter, popped balloons, strings, cat toys) on the floor. The tub was also dirty and the drain was clogged. The wifi didn't work in the room. We asked about it several times but no one ever came to check. The staff was rude and unprofessional. When we checked in the man at the front desk was bad mouthing and insulting other guests right in front of us. Our room (a suite for four people) did not have enough coffee, no big deal, but we called the front desk three times and asked the front desk in person over two days and never got the coffee. On Sunday morning I was awoken to a staff member screaming and cursing out another staff member while they were setting up for brunch. A man was yelling "You F***ing dumbass! I told you to get the mother F***ing silverware! etc.' Not how you want to wake up on a Sunday morning, and I can't believe they treat their staff this way. I guess Sunday House would be nice for an event or dinner, but staying there was terrible. If you're having a wedding, tell your guests to stay elsewhere.
