We have stayed at twin lakes several times. Great people. We were scheduled to go Dec 1 thru Dec 3. We were going for the show of homes Christmas . Do to terrible weather rain wind more rain we decided to cancel. Upon telling them we were canceling because of the weather we were prepared to pay for one night stay. But we were told that we had to pay the full amount and they went ahead an charged my card. I understand it was short notice and they said yes but we could have rented it so we lost money. I was upset because no one would go fishing in this weather and definitely not letting people in their homes with muddy wet shoes. I really feel that this management needs better communication between them and customers. If we just cancel to cancel I understand. But this was legit reason. We travel everywhere in our RV and this is the first time we have ever cancel a reservation. I will tell everyone about twin lakes and that they do not try to accommodate their customers. Our friends made a review and their answer was we will give you firewood and you can sit by the fire and watch the stars not if it is raining. We can only go by the weather we live in Panama City beach fl and it rained and is still raining,

I had issues with our stay that were never resolved regarding flooding in our cabin and a sinking kayak we rented. I tried to speak with management several times to resolve the issue with no luck. Finally, I wrote a poor review on google and the owner responded with complete lies about the situation to blame me. It was a very unprofessional way to handle a complaint that could have been resolved.

Response from Patrick ONeill, General Manager at Twin Lakes Camp Resort
Responded Jul 25, 2023
Of course a customer can complain. The question is about the legitimacy of the complaint! It is not unprofessional to listen to you (even when you don't listen back), take your calls, respond to you with fair and honest responses. It was not "no luck", it just wasn't succumbing to your demand that were unreasonable. Your issues were not resolved to your satisfaction but we do not believe that you were reasonable. Thanks for the opportunity to let others know what will not be tolerated here (for the benefit of others). Here is the reply from the Google review: Thanks for the note. We are glad your family enjoyed a great stay with us but sorry that you personally did not. Camping isn’t for everyone. Let’s get a few of the facts straight for perspective sake. We had 10” of rain in a very short timeframe! While it does rain in Florida it does not rain that much very often. As soon as rain was reported we showed up to clean it up. From what I understand yours took one small towel. (The other condo was given a refund). Regarding the kayak it was not on the rack that you were told to get one from. It was on the ground for repairs. Perhaps listening to instructions would have helped this situation. You did speak with Management regularly. In fact you were very rude and loud in front of many guests in the office. Then you called and were even more rude to the managers because you did not get your way with the demanded refund for you too. We are a clean, family, resort with many amenities with very courteous employees and managers. If anything was missing all you needed to do was ask. We hope you had a safe trip home.

Stayed here for 5 months starting Nov 2022 thru Apr 2023. Other than being moved 4 times during our stay, we loved the park and the hosts. Always accommodating and friendly. Looking to do it again this year (as long as we don't get moved) Waterfront lots on both sides of the park and we managed to always be lakeside. The bath house looks like something out of a 5-star resort. Clean, lots of hot water and seldom have to wait. Activities for Thanksgiving and Christmas were most welcome for snowbirds away from family for the holidays however, they made everyone feel right at home as everyone gathered for a potluck style luncheon in the rec center on both occasions. Wifi is a little wonky at times, particularly if you have a large rig beside you that blocks the signal. Cable TV was also a welcome perk. Kudos to Christine and Corey who made everyone feel welcome.

This is one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed! Beautiful, picturesque campsites. A lot of them have lake views. Bathrooms/showers are gorgeous. We didn't use the pool. They have a nice camp store/office. There's a lot of wooden fishing docks. Boats to rent. The gate has an access code, but they text you with the code. I didn't check my texts, so there was some confusion on my part. The only negative thing I can think of to say is the sites are rather tight. We had an empty site next to us for 2 nights, so it was all good

We booked this location from New York via the web for a six week stay. Absolutely loved the campground and the wor hosts Chritine and Corey. Their attitude and friendliness and helpfulness were wonderful! We have now been spoiled and we don't think any other campground is going to come close. The community campfire is a great place to meet so many nice people from all over the country. And again Cristine and Corey could not have been better! We have met new lifelong friends!

We like the RV park very much the spaces are a little close but ok. The only reaon I am givig it a 4 star is because the internet is very bad unless you are up around 4 or5am because I was up and tried it. I would suggest maybe installing some kind of hot spot though out the park to get better reception. The bathrooms are very clean as well as the whole park. We would come back. The office staff is very good as well as the ground keepers. We did have to move but it was due to us wanting to stay extra night. A lot of people were there due to Veterans' Day. Thank you all for a pleasant stay . We ate out nost of the time because we did not want to cook. Alot of places to eat and we found one that was not good, and the food was overpriced

We only stayed here for one night on our way back home from being at Walt Disney World. We were greeted by a very kind young lady and were given a wonderful site that we could have parked in both ways as it had the hookups on both sides of the site. We had a beautiful view of both lakes! There is a very nice swimming pool that we enjoyed, as well.

Very pretty and clean resort. Park is patrolled daily at different times to keep people in order especially the vicious dogs they coexist with. Nice owners and maintenance people. We found the sites a little small and cramped. "Starship sized" RVs became obnoxious as were the owners. We were placed in a site where our gray and black water drain hose was forced to run uphill. Switching sites was inconvenient for the owners due to booking. The other big issue is that there is NO mail delivery at this RV site. Very inconvenient especially for people on medication like us. They do accept Amazon deliveries though. This is very quiet resort except for a number of RVers who are transient who parked on either side of us for a day or two stay - they setting up and taking down was irritating. They would be much better of stopping at Wal-mart and so would we. Not much to do in the area if one is on an extended stay (ours was two months). There is fishing with a number of piers too close to other campers. It was great that any COVID restrictions were ignored as most now believe it may have been real at first but became a HOAX.

We were passing through for the night but wished we could have stayed longer! Super nice park! We had a drive thru and was perfect for our 33’ bumper pull! We were on top of the hill and had a great view of the lake! We watched a great sunset on one side and then had a full moon come up on the other! Wow!! Facilities were amazing! Best campground shower house I’ve ever seen! Concrete pads and full service on either side depending on how you wanted to face! We WILL be back to this place!
