Detailed Reviews
We have been going to Deerfield Beach for 20 years. We started staying at Royal Blues in February because the Wyndham has just gone so far downhill it was a deterrent for us to go to Deerfield. We have just returned from our second stay at the hotel. Its is a very nice hotel and definitely the most upscale hotel in Deerfield Beach. The room we stayed in was quiet (all are ocean front and only 12 units total) and breakfast, parking *(which is very easy and right in back of the hotel) and beach chairs are included in the price. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is very accommodating. The only complaint we have is the mattress needs to be replaced (we did tell the manager in Feb) and it hasn't been replaced yet and we may not be able to return or will at least have to try another room since we stayed in the same room twice. It was so soft it hurt our backs. The other small issue is some of the sheets and towels had rips and need to be replaced. It's not typical of a hotel of this caliber to have ripped linens. The only other SMALL complaint would be the fact that they make their own preserves and if you don't happen to like that flavor they don't have other jellys/jams for breakfast so we now bring our own. It's a small thing but I think it would be a very easy thing for them to have other jams for people who don't like that flavor. I heard the restaurant is fabulous for dinner so we may have dinner there sometime.

Thank you to the friendly staff of The Royal Blues Hotel. They truly showed us the highest level of service and yet were fun and easy to talk to as well. The front desk staff made sure the room was up to our standards and even went as far as to fix the when something went wrong.
The rooms were generous and very comfortable. We enjoyed one the larger suites which felt like a modern home, not a hotel. Definitely a relaxing weekend.
The breakfast was also wonderful. We had breakfast included in our booking and every day we’re pleased by the food.
Thank you to all of the staff, you really made the stay special.

You know the feeling. The location, amenities, and vibe of the hotel is superb, classic, and hip - all at the same time. After just arriving, the relaxing expectation of the weekend was fully met.
Nice Prosecco welcome beverages, and the views are stunning. Warm staff, too. The dimmable lighting scenes, switchable smart privacy glass, and tech forward Koehler fixtures are a great welcome compared to other boutique resorts in the coast. A major difference maker - felt like a cool Euro B&B despite not being able to travel during these times. We’ll be back for sure.

We opted to stay here based on the fact it was a Relais & Chateau property, so we had high expectations. A few days prior to our visit, we received a call telling us the hotel elevator was out of service due to the recent storm. I can understand these things happen, so I thanked the person for the call and said we were fine with that. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly host who efficiently checked us in. As we started to head to our room, we were informed that the pool was out of order, and it was unclear when it would be fixed. I expressed that I was disappointed and surprised, especially since we were not informed prior to arrival. We would have stayed elsewhere, if we had known this. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed that he was off that day, but he would follow up with me. The manager seemed to avoid speaking to me, until I ran into him later the next day. I asked if we could be compensated in some way, and he said he would see what he could do. The next morning. The dining room was closed due to a leaking fish take. Breakfast was served at the bar area at a low table. I again asked to speak to the manager and was again told he would follow up with me. He again avoided speaking to me, until I demanded to speak with him about another issue, the hand soap dispenser in my room had not been filled, although I alerted staff about it earlier in the day. The manager seemed a bit surprised that I was upset, which I don’t understand. Things happen, but attentive management can make all the difference here. It’s sad, because his property has potential, but it fails in so many domains. The location is ideal, the rooms have great views and are well maintained. The lack of attention to detail and guest satisfaction is the major failure here. The manager did compensate us for one night lodging, but only after I had tracked him down the second time. At this price point, more attention to customer satisfaction should be forthcoming proactively.

We checked in late yesterday afternoon, to much of our disappointment the room was way smaller then pictures they appear online or described, a tiny bathroom can’t be in at same time. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had another mirror anywhere in the room. But no, can’t even see yourself get ready even the cheapest of hotel have that. The room looks tired needs some sprucing up. They boast all these amenities which we haven’t seen yet. Supper was great at restaurant Chason but breakfast was horrible. Would of been better going to Starbucks. Maybe this sounds weird to complain about but when you are paying $800 per night you want everything to be amazing and then some!
So far it’s a waste of our money. We thought we were going to get a 5 star luxury experience but it’s more like a 2 star.
Supposed to be service on the beach but nope just set chairs up for you then forget you exist. We have to keep calling down to get things like cream for our coffee. . It’s just beyond frustrating. It’s all these little touches that make a hotel worth being a Relais & Chateaux.
Would not recommend this hotel unless it was the price of a Hilton.
Location is good , beach is ok very crowded not a special section just for hotel.
Many other things I could go on about but not even worth it at this point. Save your money it’s too late for us.

We have only been here 30 minutes and I can tell already that this is going to be an amazing anniversary getaway!! At check in we are offered a prosecco and then taken up to a lovely suite with spectacular views of the Atlantic from the room and expansive balcony. Large sitting area with two bathrooms, one with an amazing tub that has auto blackened glass and the other bathroom has an amazing Japanese toilet with built in seat warmer, bidet and drier! Sitting room is in a separate room from the bedroom making this feel like a small apartment. Having dinner tonight at their restaurant with friends and the menu looks fabulous! In the time of Covid we prefer staying at smaller boutique hotels to avoid crowds and this fits the bill on so many levels!

I wanted to celebrate my wife’s birthday this year in style. What better way than on the beach at the Royal Blues. We are locals so we were familiar with all the fun that Deerfield Beach had to offer. What we didn’t know was all the fun the Royal Blues had to offer. From our smooth check in with Shane to our amazing room with the perfect view, we knew we were in for a treat. They thought of every detail. The smart controlled bathroom and main room were well thought out and unexpected.
The cocktails made by Rosie in the lounge were spot on and seeing my wife so happy and comfortable, made my stay even more amazing. Everyone wished my wife a happy birthday which took us both by surprise. The charcuterie platter we ordered was brought up to our room and we enjoyed it on our wrap around terrace. The waves crashing, the sun going down and the sax player playing holiday songs across the street just added to the ambiance.
The complimentary breakfast was outstanding and our server was there for any need we had. Sitting outside for breakfast is highly recommended.
This was by far our favorite staycation and we look forward to staying at the Royal Blues again and again.

Everything about this small hotel is perfect: location, rooms, service, heated pool and breakfast.
The front desk girls were extremely nice and professional. They were in contact with us the entire time during our stay and met all our needs including very early breakfast and special requests for the beach service.
Our suite was amazing : very classy, clean and sunrise views are breathtaking!
We were very impressed by the hotel's restaurant Chanson. Try an avocado toast for breakfast, palm heart salad for lunch and foie gras for dinner.
We are definitely coming back!!

I’m hesitant to write this review as I would love to keep this hotel a hidden gem! Everything about our stay was perfection. We did not want to leave.
The staff was incredible: Nick, Brenda, Shane, Alejandro, Tara, Soshi, and Norbert….just to name a few. They were all so friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Also, the GM, Ramon really took extra time to make us feel welcome.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We looked forward to trying new dishes each day. The location and view were amazing, as we were able to walk to several shops and restaurants.
The room was lovely and we are still talking about the fancy toilet and how we need one at home :) A mini fridge is replenished each day which was such a perk. Beds were comfortable and shower was great! We loved the view and enjoyed the balcony.
Chairs and umbrella for the beach are included in the stay which is a perk. I find it frustrating when these necessities are not. Staff even provides towels and cold water prior to your departure to the beach. It was these little unique things that made our stay so great.
Needless to say, we are already planning our next visit.

The Royal Blues Hotel is a smaller property, affiliated with the Relais & Chateau hotel chain. It's charming and very "boutique", almost a B&B, given its very dedicated and personal service. The rooms are big, elegant, very modern (lots of electronic devices, e.g. the shower, the toilet), nicely furnitured, also on the (very big) terrace with a view to the beach. They offer a beach service (2 chairs & umbrella are included per room), which I could not use, unfortunately, because of the rainy weather. But the beach is, indeed, just across the road. The Royal Blues Hotel is in a perfect location. The restaurant is very good, too. We were, however, suprised to be the only guests for dinner, although the booking app you had to use for a booking told us that the restaurant was sold out. What I did not like that much is that breakfast begins only at 8 a.m., and it is à la carte - in the restaurant or your room. I'd love to have my breakfast earlier. However, there is a Nespresso maker in the room, thus, I could make coffee at least. For beach lovers and fans of smaller hotels the Royal Blues is clearly an excellent option. Also, because there are parking places right behind the hotel. Deerfield Beach in general is but a small beach town, nothing to write home about, but a nice abode for a few days. Apart from the restaurant of the Royal Blues, which is excellent but expensive, there are not many alternative options in town. Maybe there is greater choice in Boca Raton, the next town, but I did not venture that far for dinner.

Deerfield Beach is about 30-40 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale and is closer to Boca Raton. There are no water taxis in the area. If this is your primary interest you will want to stay in Ft. Lauderdale Beach. This hotel is located directly across the beach and has great views. You can walk to shops and area restaurants from this location.
