Really had a great stay at this hotel at the end of July. Friendly front desk staff, beautiful pool and tiki bar area, plus our Corner Oceanview room was very quiet and private with a great clear view. This hotel is following all Covid guidelines better than any other Hilton owned hotel I’ve stayed in since May. Breakfast could be improved to grab and go bags for speed but other than that a really great, clean hotel. Thanks Jerri at the desk for very fast responses to in app messaging!

We did not like this place at all, and as a matter of fact we cancelled our second night stay. First thing in the morning the place was dirty, sand everywhere, the breakfast was a joke. Terrible food that you had to stand in line and wait for ONE person to help everyone. There was NO coffee or water in the waiting areas, our beach view was actually the parking lot on the street side.

My husband and I booked a room here for the 4th of July weekend to get away from the life's stresses and relax. We are older and wanted to have a nice relaxing weekend listening to the ocean and enjoying some quiet time together as we both work very hard and with being quarantined for so long we were really looking forward to our time off together. We arrived and were checked in immediately, the room was comfortable and clean and they did have signage up requiring folks to wear masks, however not everyone did. we did not see any staff walking around cleaning at all during our visit though. That does not mean it did not happen, we just did not see anyone doing it. Our 1st night stay was pleasant and we had no problems other than people not paying much attention to Covid policies and they would try to load an elevator to where you were rubbing against strangers - we did take the stairs some and did ask folks to be respectful if we were already on elevator. The 2nd day, we took a little road trip to drive along coastline and look around. We went to store to pick up a few food items so we did not have to go out into restaurant crowds on 4th of July and then decided to go back to room to sit on balcony, enjoy a cocktail and maybe take a nap while listening to the sound of ocean waves. WELL - That did NOT happen.... When we arrived back to room, we heard VERY LOUD music coming from somewhere, we thought maybe the room next door had a radio on or something, but we quickly discovered when we opened our balcony doors, that there was a DJ set up at the pool and he was playing club style music as if he was in a dance club on a Friday night. WAY TOO LOUD - I mean we were on an upper floor with doors closed and pillows over our head and could still hear the music. We called the front desk to ask if they could request him to lower the music to a level where just the pool people could enjoy it (and it is a very small pool which they could only have 10 people in at a time - so the hiring of a DJ really made no since. When we asked them if it had to be so loud and we could not watch tv or even take a nap , we were told that they were doing it for all the "other" guests - as to say our relaxation did not matter. Most guests were down at the beach, so what were they thinking?????? It was suppose to end at 5 pm so we were trying to bear with it for a few hours (It was only 2 pm then) however, we heard the DJ make an announcement at 3 pm - which we heard loud and clear - that he was given permission to extend until 7 pm - at that point we just could not take it anymore so we just checked out and went home. It was so disappointing. They told us nothing at time of checking in that there would be noise out by pool the next day or we would have not stayed there. This place must be managed by a young person who just wants to run a party club - any respectful mature manager would not allow that to happen at their hotel. I used to be a Dir. of Sales at a Hampton near Universal in Orlando and this would never happen there. Also, we had left a brand new unopened bottle of vodka in the mini-frig as we rushed out so quickly. We called the next day to ask about finding and not to our surprise but no one seemed to know anything about it... Soooo either the maid did not clean the mini-frig after we left (which should be done after each guests especially during Covid - or she/he kept it instead of turning it in (which does not matter to us, it was just a $20 bottle of alcohol) - but - that does not say a lot about the staff's honesty. Someone was really lying. Either the maid, front desk or manager kept it instead of calling us to ask if we wanted to come back and get it (they rented the room right away too because when I called to ask it they said they could on go into room because someone was in there) nor did anyone keep it at office for us to claim. I mean , it they won't be honest about a bottle of vodka, what would make you think they would be honest about something valuable left behind?

Good morning, We appreciate you taking the time to post a review regarding your recent stay, however we are confident that you did not stay at our hotel. We are the Hampton Inn at 1024 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32118. We have never had a DJ on our pool deck and we would never consider it, as it would likely have the same effect on many guests that it had on you. When you have the time, please delete your review from our property, as we do not want future guests to get the wrong impression of our hotel. Thank you, Dave Bon Fleur Director of Sales

This is a Great Beach Front Hotel. Right on the beach and super easy access to the beach from the hotel pool area. As well the Pool and Hot Tub are very nice and well maintained. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Spend the extra amount and get a Beach Front room for sure! *Covid Now we went in end of June 2020 so Covid going on. The staff was very aware of this and following the Hilton rules on this very closely. All wearing masks and social distancing. Now breakfast during this time is challenging as they must serve it cafeteria style which takes longer but that's ok and to be expected. The issue we had with it was they ran out of food very quickly there. 2 times we came down an hour before breakfast service ended and they were out of 3/4 of the food. Don't let this turn you off from staying here it's Great just plan on eating breakfast elsewhere or early during Covid.

Average at best! Not worth the price. Okay for a quick visit, but not for a long stay. For a 2 stars hotel, I am not expecting a lot, but the basics like the shower, sounds, breakfast…are really bad! Not a Hampton Inn quality!
