Booked deluxe oceanview for 51st anniversary getaway and a break from a very bad year. Husband wanted to get oceanfront, none available, keep checking. Thursday called and told we could not change because within 72 hour window. Arrived Saturday to be told overbooked deluxe oceanview so being "upgraded" to oceanfront (not deluxe) and because room was "a bit" smaller, we would get a 15% discount. Room was terrible! No king bed which we specified, had two double beds in small, very beat up room with window to public hallway. Broken dresser and nightstand drawers, safe did not work. Not cleaned very good with dead roaches along baseboard in bedroom and between refrigerator and cabinet in kitchen. Bathroom sink was cracked and only cold water trickled out of faucet, mirror was damaged. Bathroom small and in need of replacement. Certainly not the bathroom we were expecting in deluxe room. The tile floors had lots of chips as did the kitchen counter. No dining room as expected, just a rounded end of countertop to sit at. Sofa and chair were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. We both had to use the sofa and bed pillows for some back support just to sit and watch a TV show. TV remote did no work unless you played with it, alarm clock could not set hour. No coffee in room and bathroom "amenities" were terrible. Cleaner wrapped trash bags around top of kitchen trash can so when I emptied coffee grounds they all went into bare can. Checkin was terrible. Waited inn long line, had to go to front desk for a portion, then another desk to record auto information then another to get wristbands and then have to get a promotion speech about timeshare and tried to schedule us for "a short 60 minute meeting." No such thing, always last longer, you can't get away and we told her we had no interest in buying time share. One day we were out visiting friends and Mina called to try to schedule our timeshare meeting. Told her no interest and certainly not after staying at this terrible place. She kept saying there were other Wyndham places we could stay and would not take no for an answer. I finally had to say "no, no, and no" and hung up on her. Loud pool music started early in the morning. They allowed people to "save" many chairs around the pool for the full day with no one using them even though it says can only save for 30 minutes. No pool monitor to enforce the rules about chairs, jumping into the pool, the hot tub being full of young children so no adults could use it. Guests used the very limited luggage carts and then left them in the elevator lobbies rather than returning them to the lobby. The night before checkout they all disappeared and were most likely in guest rooms for the next morning. Unwanted soda, beer cans and trash was removed from vehicles in the garage and just left there next to the car to become someone else's problem. At checkout asked for printed bill right there and discovered were were charged wrong, had not been given our discount and employee said Ok, I will get this fixed for you. It will only take five minutes. 20 minutes later and after now making a loud scene in the lobby, he came back and said "Oh,no one brought this to you?" He was in the back this whole time. He got it and upon further inspection with my reservation paperwork, it is still not correct. We had such a wonderful experience a few years ago when we booked through a discounted overstock travel company which is why we returned. This place has really gone downhill. Wyndham seems to have lost a legal battle about selling practices according to a poster in the lobby. They clearly need to change corporate management and then fix up their properties. Never again! We are looking for a February rental in the area, but it will surely not be here; Wyndham has lost our business. Find another place.

Honesty, I am not very satisfied with our stay at this resort. The resort is nice and has great pools and such, but the horrible customer service ruined the whole encounter. Everyone here seems to have VERY condescending personalities. Absolutely no PROFESSIONALISM or care in the world about your “needs”. For example: I was told that I must deliver my dirty towels to a lower floor below me and then go pick up my bathroom towels and other request at the main lobby desk. Since when do I work for a resort that I’m a guest at? I’ve had way better customer service at other and even lower level resorts/hotels then this resort. I’ve had over ten bad experiences for the past three days I’ve stayed here. Furthermore, it wasn’t just me who was treated very poorly. Another example: I had a Instacart delivery and the man outside who was suppose to “greet” and welcome my delivery man, ended up yelling at him about parking and waiting for me to come pick up my groceries. Since the delivery guy wasn’t allowed to deliver them to my room. I also had some friends of mine come visit me and the boys while we stayed here, to have them also be treated like garbage. As a single mother, who works very hard to be able to take my two boys and experience what we thought would be a great vacation. Unfortunately, we came to only find out how badly we would be treated like straight garbage, by just about everyone who works here. We even attended a morning meeting in regards to buying timeshares into their resort, aka “brand”. Now this was a timeshare that I was actually VERY interested into purchasing and would use towards later vacations. Even during the meeting, I could tell that the lady representing and giving the presentation absolutely hated her job. Her attitude and sale technic was horrible! Additionally, I’m one of those people who like to plan things and research before buying into anything. So I asked to take home the different quote price sheet in order to further research and look into before making my final decision. They told me that I could not take the sheet home with be. Which I find to be VERY shady. However because I had asked that question, I was then rudely judged and told by a different sales man that the reason I wasn’t going to invest that day was because I just couldn’t afford it. I found that comment to be extremely RUDE! However, after staying here and experiencing their service, I would by no means ever suggest to anyone to ever invest into their timeshares. Why would I pay and invest into a company to only arrive and be treated very poorly? So, NO thank you!!! I’d rather save my money and invest elsewhere. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this resort if you’re one who cares about how you are treated while on your vacation. I would suggest that you waste your time and money at another resort or hotel for your vacation get away. As a business owner, I know the importance of good customer service. It can either make or break a deal. And this place definitely broke that deal with me. .

Our stay was awful! The Room was filthy! I spent time cleaning it myself. Found old dirty socks. The condition of the room was dated and run-down. The sink in the bathroom leaked. The couch was dirty with burn marks, cracks in wall/door frame, floors not vacuumed/cleaned. STAY AWAY from the South Tower and specifically Room 907. Dirty, dated and disgusting!

Though the south tower is older, it was clean and the room comfy. The staff were very attentive to our needs and always courteous. The water flow was a bit slow, but that was probably due to it being older Pools and beach were fantastic and the pool bar had great staff..

My family and I arrived to the property earlier than expected. We tried checking in and they let us know the room was not ready. We completely understand the early check in policy but the representatives did not give us options on waiting inside the property. We had to wait inside our car for a few hours. This is not as bad but would had liked a bit more hospitality. We have stayed at plenty other hotels and they offer some type of early check in or allow guest to wait inside the hotel. The week we came was cold and windy. Many families could not be outside becuase it was too cold for kids to be in the pools outside or beach. They have "heated" indoor pools so we decided to swim inside. When we went we were shocked to see that the water inside was just as cold if not colder than the weather outside. Other parents were also going through the same feelings as the water was too cold. Now I understand that this is good because the weather is usually high and sunny however the staff made no effort to try to help us. It is disappointing becuase this property has high price rates and did not try to accommodate us what so ever. I can assure that if it was another property small or big they would of helped us with this request. This property does have some pros. It was very clean and good views. You will have everything you need in the rooms. This hotel uses wrist bands which grant you access to facilities and there is security. Nice hotel but will not be staying here again. I have been to Daytona plenty of times and have stayed in very cheap hotels and very expensive hotels. There are plenty other hotels that offer better customer service and hospitality at a much better rate. If you are able to afford this property I encourage you to stay but also know there are countless other properties around with better customer service and hospitality.

This is a good place to go if you have kids. They have 5 different types of pools. It is right on the beach and our unit was a beachfront view so that made it perfect. There are lots of stores as it is on a beach walk and next to a large water park. The only negative was our unit was not cleaned very well. There was a bandaid stuck to the towel bar in the shower and an old cookie was on the floor in the kids room. We called and the came right up and sanitized the whole bathroom again. I would come here again anyway.

Got stuck in the elevator twice, seating by the pool was hard to come by unless you got up early. Security would not let you save chairs and if you left to go back to the room your stuff would be moved. Over all the resort is decent and in a great location.

Stayed at this location last year, had a wonderful experience and room. Stayed again recently, extremely disappointed in our room. The photos on the website give false advertising. When walking into our 1 bedroom suite, I knew while booking it would be smaller, but wasn’t prepared for what we got. I felt I was walking into a 1 star motel. Everything was filthy, terrible smell and nothing that reflected the Club Wyndham appearance, like what we stayed in last year, what’s on their website or even how clean the rest of the facility is maintained. Asked to have the room cleaned, specifically the bathroom. Toilet and dryer had issues. Stove barely worked and took 20 minutes to scramble a couple eggs. Dishes were dirty, food stuck on some, had to wash before using. Asked to be moved to a different room, was accommodated a couple days later. Moved in the new room…food left in the microwave, the dishwasher had standing water in the bottom and the toilet seat was falling off, husband tightened best he could without tools. When in our room for the evening/bedtime, there was a sound of someone moving furniture or tapping above us. I assumed it was kids playing. It happened two nights in a row……noises continued until midnight. It must have been the Wyndham staff or the owners of the room above us doing renovations. Hotels have quiet hours, does this not apply to this hotel and work being done at time of night? Cold water and no water pressure in the shower. Asked for extra towels, never got them. I don’t care for the sales pitch….we went through it last year, told them about it this year but they don’t take no for an answer or listen to what we have to say, quite honestly it takes away from the vacation experience. We won’t be coming back to this location, which disappoints us bcuz they do have some positives going for them…too bad it doesn’t show through with ALL of their rooms, their people and processes. It would make for a better, more enjoyable experience for everyone. Before booking your room, please read all reviews, from real people, to decide if this is the place for you.

Our reservation was made on 10/9/2021 for the week of 4/3/22 - 4/10/22. Three days before our flight was to leave, we received an urgent phone call from RCI that the Wyndham Ocean Walk was overbooked. We traded into this resort and Wyndham canceled our reservation three days before we were to get on our flight. I spent the night trying to find a place to stay and didn’t sleep all night. We booked that resort because our daughter’s college dance team is competing at Nationals in Daytona. We were so excited to stay at a place we’ve never been to before and right next to the competition. Our son even asked a friend to go with for spring break. This experienced sucked all the excitement out of getting away. We have been member with RCI for 12 years and this has never ever happened to us. Luckily RCI worked with us to help find us a resort in Orlando, but now we have to drive back and forth to Daytona, but so thankful we still get to watch our daughter compete. Wyndham Ocean Walk had ruined the time we will get to spend with our daughter. We also heard the Wyndham did this same thing to several other families leaving them with no place to stay. Thank you RCI for helping us find a place last minute! RCI worked hard to help get us within driving distance to Daytona. The Wyndham manager gave us nothing but lame excuses on how he had nothing to do with it. No help or compassion what-so-ever. Absolutely terrible!! I wouldn’t book a vacation here unless you want to take your chances on it getting canceled and have no place else to go. If I could give this resort a minus 5 stars, I would. Shame on you Wyndham Ocean Walk! Worst vacation experience ever!

Hotel is beachfront and has various pools. The lazy river was closed. Kiddie pool area was open and the waterslide in the general pool was open part of the time. The hotel room was spacious and nice. However the floors were filthy and there was no mop or broom in the room. This was difficult given that we were traveling with a baby. There was popcorn on the floor and it just didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. On a positive note, they did provide a pack n play. There is a washer/dryer in the unit. There's a Walgreen's at walking distance and various stores and restaurants.
