We liked the locations, and the building was okay, old and outdated but good enough. The view from balcony was gorgeous. Two big outside pool was heated, and kid’s splash pad was cute. Tiki bar by poolside was reasonable and bartenders were friendly. This is a condo-tel, that you could stay as a hotel customer, own as a condo and rent the space. We stayed here as a rental customer from a condo owner. the room was spacious enough for our family of 3, with 8 yo boy. The wall was a bit thin, so where it has a connecting door inside, I could hear a little bit of their noise. But they weren't partying or anything so it got quiet down after 10 or so. No problem. Location was great, across from a grocery store, Walgreen, gift shops. Few min drive to the main drag of Daytona Beach board walk if that's your thing. We were just happy to hop on beach, get back in pool when we needed to switch gears and come back in our room and fix easy lunch/dinner.

Even we did enjoy our stay, here is why only give 2 stars. Neither the Hotel / condo owner did notify or advertise the fact they were closing down for renovation starting in 8/1/18. We checked out on 8/1/18. I made this reservation in March. Even though it may not affect us, it was not an honest business practice. As day goes by, it is clear that upkeep of the building has a lot more to be desired. Trash cans not collected daily, rubbish on the floor (I saw a tooth brush on one of elevators and stayed there for 5 days while we stayed), ashtrays left not cleaned by pool side, and many part of facility not operating (sauna, hot tub was closed off. Gym was half closed and never had any towels. On site Restaurant was closed.
The condo owner did fine job with the individual room we were staying, although they failed to have our room cleaned before we checked in. The owner managed to send the hotel house-keeping up to our room after 4 hours we checked in. so that was fine.
We wish that after the renovation, things would improve especially the use of amenity that has (hot-tub, sauna, gym, on-site restaurant). The location is wonderful and this is very family oriented quieter resort that has a lot of potentials. However, we will not return. With the money we paid for the rental and condition of building, we feel there are many comparable options there in Daytona Beach.

Nice people but they need to clean pool area better. It seems maintenance does not do anything but walk around and house keeping is one that needs the most work on there friendly out look on the customers

Hotel was pretty good except parking was a nightmare. Not enough parking for all rooms. Good access to beach. Room fairly clean but not that great for the price. Staff was pleasant. Pool was warm enough but pool area needed to be cleaned a bit more (ashtrays emptied and clean up garbage).

After much consideration, I finally decided to choose this hotel for my marriage and dinner reception party based on my wife's recommendation(she has been a guest in this hotel in the past). Mine was an Interfaith marriage and being also a destination wedding, I had to arrange everything over the phone which worried me a lot. However, their catering manager (Shea Sizemore) was extremely helpful in coordinating things from the start till the end. She was very receptive in her communication over email/phone and went above and beyond in fulfilling my expectations for the big day.

We did 2 different styles of wedding, first was an Indian Hindu style and followed by the traditional Christian American wedding. Their ballroom which is very spacious and well equipped was easily able to accommodate my guests for the Indian ceremony and the staff was very receptive during the ceremony. I had a stage installed for my Indian wedding inside the ballroom the previous day for which the front desk was helpful in the coordinating things with my outside vendor/catering.

The other Christian ceremony was outdoors beach facing, and Shea did an amazing job with the arrangement of the chairs, arch etc. The hotel was cooperative enough to allow me to bring in an outside catering(food) for my Indian guests. The event manager and his staff were prompt in receiving the food from the vendor, had it stored in hot/cold storage and dinner was elegantly served in their fully equipped chafing pans/dishes & silverware. I additionally also ordered food from the hotel's kitchen for my local guests travelling from various parts of the country; it was of the highest quality and prices were reasonable. I also had a bar for the reception party; prices were reasonable, and bartender did an amazing job.

I also stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and got an amazing ocean front room. It was clean, very well equipped for my needs, considering the fact that I had guests constantly coming over to my room, it was spacious enough to accommodate everyone with the additional sofas and kitchen.

I absolutely recommend this hotel for weddings/family events/reunions etc. and would definitely prefer to stay at this property in my future trips to Daytona Beach.
