I stayed here 2 nights and I loved it! Yes it is a older property and the pool is closed for repair and they make it clear that this is a family hotel and not a spring break hotel to behave loudly and act like they did in the movie Animal House lol! Be careful not to leave your room with dirty dishes and trash or smoke because they will charge you a cleaning fee. Behave yourself and clean up after yourself as you would in your own house and you will have a great time here. I had a king bed oceanfront room on the 2'nd floor and the view from the balcony was nice! Be sure to set your alarm clock so you can watch the sun come up in the morning if you have a oceanfront room.
The bed and pillows were comfy and the TV was awesome! It had Roku with free access to over 400 channels and YouTube. You could spend an entire day just watching tv and drinking beer lol even though I don't recommend doing so when your on vacation at the beach! The room did have a small microwave and mini fridge which both worked nicely!
The morning breakfast had a nice selection of grab and go items and coffee and juice, etc.
There is a bus stop that will take you to the Ponce De Leon lighthouse which is the tallest in Florida. It takes about 15 minutes to get there. Just catch the southbound bus across the street and it will be the last stop. There is a nice waterfront restaurant there. There is a liquor store right across the street a few blocks away which has any drink beer, wine, liquor that you might need if you drink alcohol!
I would definitely come back here! I really enjoyed everything about my stay here! Thanks!

We did a staycation here with some friends and we are so very happy with this hotel.

Parking was easy and seemed ample enough even with no vacancies left.
No parking pass required and no parking fee like the resort style hotels.

Check in was a breeze, we checked in at 3pm and our room was ready. At first I thought the front desk lady was gonna be a little "dry" but she was very pleasant. The lobby was clean, beachy and cozy.
Our room was on the 5th floor (top floor), room 503. The room was spacious, very clean and in good repair. Small fridge/freezer, microwave and 4 burner stove top. Beds had a tempurpedic type mattress on them and was very comfortable. Mattress protector on so everything was clean.
Balcony was amazing with an oceanfront view.
Room even had an air purifier with ultraviolet light.

No breakfast option right now because of Covid but we didn't mind. We just made breakfast in the room.

The most amazing thing is how friendly all the staff are!!! Everyone said hello or goodbye and wished you Good day....or have fun and a see you again soon. Housekeeping was just amazing. Even though they didn't clean the rooms during your stay (again covid) they were available for anything you needed. Even brought our teenage daughters fresh pool towels without them asking.

Pool deck is nice with area to the side with charcoal grills and tables to eat at.

We throughly enjoyed our stay and so did the other 2 couples staying with us.

We will most definitely be back and will likely book for large group activities.

Thank you Beachside Hotel for any amazing staycation. ❤❤❤

Had a nice week stay at the hotel - our original family room was cancelled, however the 2 nice ladies on reception were able to provide us 2 rooms next to each other with sea view. The hotel is right on the beach but direct access & pool are closed as got smashed badly by the hurricane. Public access is a few minutes away. The rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen and large fridge freezer. Breakfast was included and you can heat the breakfast sandwiches in your room. Beds are comfortable and the Aircon works a treat. All the staff were very nice and would definitely stay again for the location & price.

Made a reservation for this business and we had a small dog, they charged us a up fee which was fine. Vehicles were driving on the beach but we were told by a life guard that dogs cannot be on the beach. We would have never booked the room if we knew, we would have gone farther south or north. The hotel withheld that info. Also they say they are no smoking rooms when we went in a air purifier was on and it smelled of smoke. The room looked unclean and the shower rod had mold on it. Doors going to the pool were filthy and u could see hand prints all over it. A bit concerning with Covid still around. Also when checking out employees were right by the entrance door smoking. We should have gone to the Hilton for the price we paid and the deceitful ways. Lessened learned!

During any hotel stay, the two things I am looking for is cleanliness and safety. If those two things are important to you, don't stay here. This hotel does not practice either of those two things.

First, upon walking into our room, the first thing we noticed is that our room was outdated and FILTHY. We resorted to sleeping on bath and beach towels because the sheets looking gross. We stayed on the first floor. We had a walk out on the pool level. Staying on that level is similar to a dungeon. The staff break room was also there, so we also had tons of cleaning carts in the hallways. Attached to the post, I am attaching several photos taken of our hotel room.

Next, there is virtually no safety practices. The front door does not open by key. Several times during our stay we walked by the lobby, and there was not even an attendant at the desk monitoring. In addition, the door that allows people from the pool into the hotel had key pad, but it did not work. The door did not even latch. Also, the rooms do not feature any additional locks suck as a manual latch that most hotel rooms have on room doors.

Overall, do not say here. We saw the staff smoke cigarettes more often than cleaning. In addition, when we requested the carts to be removed from the hallway, we heard staff in the staff room saying that we should "be kicked out." Save your money!

I really had high hopes for this hotel based on the recent reviews. The staff was friendly enough. The room was clean and there were no bugs that we saw. We were in the lower basement level which I didn't particularly enjoy. I chose this hotel because it was beachfront. I wanted to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean in the evening or at sunrise and it was not to be. I wish the hotel would have been transparent as to the damage left from the hurricanes in 2022. It was a lot of money to spend on a tight budget not to be able to access the beach from the hotel, no pool, and horrible beach front damage to the hotel. I would recommend only if rooms are available on upper floors and you want to walk down to a public beach access.

We loved our visit so much we booked another one at check out. It’s a small independent older girl with a homey feel to it. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. They fixed the ice machine issue the day we checked in by installing a new machine. Only took a couple hours to get the elevator back up and running when it went down. Everyone there was super nice and helped us find plenty of local places to eat and visit. Keep in mind it is an older hotel so it’s not shiny like alot of the corporate hotels. But I prefer to use the independent hotels because I prefer supporting local small businesses. Loved this hotel. They did a fabulous job.

The staff was all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, they were in the process of upgrading and fixing after storms had hit earlier in the year. Great place to stay, will stay here again and again plus recommend to all my family and friends. Also a great value and the view was amazing!

Staff were very friendly, we had a problem with our noisy air con which they sorted. The floor in our kitchenette king room was dirty and marked needed replacing, hotel was in a good location fairly close to crabby joes pier which was great. The breakfast was continental, the bagels were good, there was enough to set you up for the day.

This is a very outdated hotel. They very poorly attempted to renovate but just painted over missing trim. The bathrooms were the worst. The dishes in the cabinet had bug poop in them. The beds were horrible. The view was nice but not worth the money it cost us to stay there. I would recommend looking at the room before paying. Our friend's tub was disgusting!
