Good for race weekend! Prices are elevated everywhere, so value is tough to gauge. Staff was wonderful, but the rooms were tired. I give this hotel credit-they are doing stayover service, which many hotels are still skimping on. Location is convenient and out of the hub-bub of downtown/beachfront/speedway areas. Breakfast was really great-which was a treat! We had really good interactions with everyone. I do get the sense IHG hotels have started to act more 'policy' based and 'there is nothing I can do' related to things like number of night adjustments & overall flexibility with reservations. Marriott is SIGNIFICANTLY more accommodating, but, all in all, it was fine. The pool area is nothing more than a pool amongst concrete, so not super ideal if this is important to you when booking!…
Skip this hotel if you are looking for an on-site Restaurant or Bar. It is only open for Breakfast. Very disappointing. Also no free water for IHG members! Room was dated but clean. This hotel is not on par with IHG hotels. Look elsewhere. Plenty of other hotels in the area.
Clean, close to Auto Mall Bucce and Tanger outlet. 3 miles from Daytona stadium book early for events. They have room service and a bar.Clean and polite staff. I would stay here again. Red light near hotel entrance in a low traffic area.
Location close to the outlets and some food areas. About 15-20 mins to Daytona Beach front. The hotel itself from what we saw was nice and clears and modern, the lobby was very spacious. The room was large with big bed and ensuite. Unfortunately we was woken at 4am by a loud generator sound coming from the room next door which left us with a broken nights sleep so we left pretty early. We did make it known to the front desk upon departure as it was a bit frustrating however the front desk didn’t seem too bothered and was happy to let us leave without any feedback
Andre did an incredible job at the restaurant and the pool is so close to the beach. Absolutely incredible service not only in the hotel but amongst the entire staff. ***** definitely recommend to all travelers!
Though our weather didn’t cooperate until the last day we still had a nice time! The hotel was very clean and well maintained and all of the personnel were attentive and courteous. Special mention should be made of the front desk staff on when we arrived- Amber probably provided what was the best intake to a hotel ever. In spite of a very active afternoon we got our rooms in record time. She acknowledged our Spire status and was genuinely pleasant. Thanks Amber!
Stayed for 2 nights last week while house hunting. Check in was OK, but I still get a little peeved that the front counter is covered in plexiglass behind which is a staff wearing masks, with a staff speaking in soft tones. I’m tired of asking them to lower them to be understood. We inquired about the advertised restaurant and bar and were told they would open the next day Wednesday. Apparently it is a hit or miss thing. Had to go off site to find a decent restaurant. Our room was at the end of a long corridor. The room had a stale odor, as if it hadn’t been used. The rug was a drab dark color, perfect for hiding dirt. The bathroom was small. The shower showed signs of mold. The wallpaper was peeling near the shower and there was evidence of white caulk patches along the base. The shower door was glass and large. Too big for the space. The room was missing two things: A safe and furniture. We had to carry our valuables with us every time we left the room. There was no sofa, no arm chair and no coffee table. Just balance Your cup on your lap.. There were few AC outlets and no usb charging ports. When we left our first day to house hunt we expected housekeeping for our room. Returning in the afternoon, our room wasn’t done and there was no housekeeping cart in the hall. When we inquired at the front desk, we were told that they didn’t service occupied rooms due to Covid. Huh? There is no common sense in not cleaning occupied rooms. Just clean the un used spaces. The staff was uniformly polite and helpful. Bu this Holiday Inn is old, tired and sorely in need of management that remembers that unhappy customers are not return customers.…
They staff was outstanding! We stayed 4 nights during Biketoberfest. Our housekeeping staff, Lydia was an incredible person. She remembered our name from day one. She made our stay very pleasant. Tina, the front desk manager, was very kind. She & another gentleman (I wish I had gotten his name) helped us with questions & were so sweet. The 3 of us had a conversation one evening about our love for cats. We ate breakfast every day & the staff there was great as well. Last but not least, there was a gentleman who kept the front lobby floor impeccably clean. He was always so friendly, even when I unknowingly walked on his freshly mopped floor. What a wonderful group of folks this place has. In fact, we’ve already booked another stay there next year.
Andre our server was amazing and great with our kids!! The service was fast and efficient. The food was really good and Andre made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant especially sitting outside on the patio.
My advice! Go ahead and just stay beachside at the Issuing a or the Hilton. They both allow pets and several others. Your rate will be the same beachside as it will be here, by the time they add all their fees. Actually beachside...it is probably going to end up cheaper. They add $56.25 per night, per pet, to the nightly rate and do not honor any rates quoted. They slip in the pet policy at check in and don't give you a chance to read it. Must get complaints a ton, because when questioned about the total almost doubling, they immediate whipped it out. They originally explained it like it's a one time charge, but then add it nightly. Then they put you in a molded, mildew covered, horrific smelling room...with wet stinky carpet....that your dog will smell like in minutes....and they call themselves pet friendly. This is what you past double for???? No waste receptacles for pets, no where to walk except hot payment. They claim a 4 mile sidewalk but first you have to walk off property via hot paved parking lot to get there. Oh and beachside you will get breakfast at most......here they add another charge, too. They advertise a bar and restaurant open for dinner but neither operate. Don't pay attention to any signs that they have up..... Including social distancing, customer service commitment, restaurant hours, none are true. .…
