Cory was amazing for breakfast this morning. Even though we arrived before closing, she seated us immediately and made sure everything was available to us. Her service was impeccable and she was forever present when we needed her! Two thumbs up for Cory! :)

We had a win/lose situation when the torrential rains drowned out the love bugs. Unfortunately for us, it KEPT raining, and there honestly wasn't much for us, or the teenagers, to do. We kept the bar busy for a few hours and wandered around the massive hotel. Eventually the kids decided to go swimming anyways, and towards the end of the day the rain did let up and we enjoyed the boardwalk, the rides, and Joe's crabshack. I do wish that the hotel had entertainment in place (such as opening the Kids zone for the littles) when the rain is so bad. Or you know.. open the spa. The rooms were decent, good sized, updated bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The mini fridge was strangely on the floor in the main room area. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely go back, but would hope for more activities to be in place.

While Mother Nature did not fully cooperate during your visit, we were delighted to find that you still had a five-star worthy stay with us at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. We thank you for taking the time to share the highlights of your experience and truly appreciate your more candid suggestions for improvements. We strive to be a top family-friendly destination along the coast and we’re pleased to know that our peerless location in the heart of the Ocean Walk Village made us a perfect home base for your getaway. That said, the safety of our guests is of the utmost priority to us and we do regret any closings that may have caused frustration during your slightly rain-filled visit. We will, however, pass on your insight regarding our rainy day activities to our Management Team and hope that your next visit through our doors will be under sunny skies and with all of the recreational diversions that you expected to enjoy. We can’t wait to make more memories with you along The World’s Most Famous Beach and hope to see you soon!

Had to do some work in my room, while spending some time in DB for a little R&R. As a result, I had to use room service several times. The room service was excellent! Not only was the food tasty, the service getting it there was excellent. Especially CiCi's prompt attention; was greatly appreciated!

Where do I begin? The check in process was frustrating. I was told that I was receiving an upgrade from city view since I am a rewards member. I did not request an upgrade and specifically said that I was fine with the city view. The person checking us in insisted...long story short, my "upgraded" view was that of the rooftop. I could literally see NOTHING but a ROOF! In addition, the bellhop stared at my breasts the entire time he was talking to me then stood in my room waiting for a tip until I told him to leave. I am sorry, but you staring at my chest and not getting smacked was your tip. We stayed at the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights, and we did not have hot water THE ENTIRE TIME!! When I brought it to the attention of customer service (FOUR TIMES), I was told that the hotel does not have hot water when they are not in the busy time of the year. We stayed the first weekend in September. Then I placed an order for a bowl of soup for dinner the first night. I was charged $10 (fine), but when the food was brought up, there was an additional $6.78 added to the bill. Again, the server waited for a tip when $2 was clearly added to the bill for the tip. The soup was not worth $10, let alone $16.78. The next morning we headed down to the beach and saw a 3 inch bug beside the elevators. I pointed in out to an employee who said that was gross but left it. I then told guest services, and she said that they would take care of it. The bug was still there that night when we returned to the hotel. The last major thing that happened was that the hotel charged my credit card without my permission. When I checked in they stated that they were holding $100 (fine), but before I checked out on Sunday, I pulled my bank account to see 2 additional charges on my account. When I asked the front desk what the charges were for, they said that they did not know but that it would fall off of my card in 5-7 days, if they couldn't justify charging my card. No one could tell what the charges were for. It has now been 6 days, I have called the hotel multiple times, and the charges are still in my bank account. Again, no one can even tell me what the charges are for, and I have been told that the only thing that I can do is report fraudulent charges with my bank which will cause my bank to return the money but will also cause my cards to be shut down. I will never stay in a Hilton hotel EVER again.

I chose this hotel after a few bad experiences in Daytona. I figured a Hilton property would be clean and classy. The lobby was just that, very clean and attractive. The hallway leading to my room was also modern and clean. Inside 1011 is a different story. The furniture is old and dated. Scratched and stained. Three mirrors in the room and all three were dirty. The inside of this room smelled like an old gym sock and I was so glad to find some febreeze in my trunk. There is no balcony in this hotel, just a slider that opens so you can hear the ocean. BUT IM WARNING YOU NOT TO DO THAT!! why!!! Because if you leave the door open for even a moment, your room AC will turn off and may not come back on for a quite a long time. It haooened to me twice...once when I first checked in. I got to my room after the long walk from the parking lot in the middle of the hot florida afternoon and opened my slider to get a sniff and hear the sound of the ocean, then my AC turned off and stayed off for almost an hour. (the door was open 2 minutes tops) and then again the next morning as I was getting ready for work. the rooom gets very hot and very humid very quick. there are no ac registers for the hall or the bathroom either, leaving this area warm and humid. There are two fees NOT included with your room rate. 17.00 plus tax for their resort fee and another 15.00 plus tax for parking in an unsecured lot. Also, the front desk agent charged TWO incidental deposits to my card and after calling and leaving a message for accounting, noone has returned my call to see when this hold will be let go (so basically holding my money hostage for their mistake. I would not choose this property again when travelling back to Daytona. I would not recommend this property to my friends and family
