The Hilton Daytona Oceanfront is an aging property with rooms that are fully outdated and in the case of my room, dirty and poorly maintained. The property was short staffed so there was no room cleaning or other services one would expect from a Hilton branded property. There was a $25 "resort fee", for what? No services for that fee. There was a $30 fee for parking for a lot which was across a busy road, unsecure and appeared to be available to any one at no cost. If you are booking this expecting a property that meets Hilton standards think again, I would advise looking for other, truly adequate hotels in the area.
We have absolutely not a single negative thing to say about our visit. Everything was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, everything was just great. We got in late on Friday night. Valet parked our car right away. We had a 6th floor room with a wonderful view overlooking the pool, pier, and the ocean. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were great, a/c worked perfect. Shower pressure and temperature was awesome. South Tower pool was large and clean, hot tub was also large and clean. Plenty of towels and chairs available. Poolside bar was great with friendly and attentive staff. We ordered some wings and tenders that were tasty and reasonably priced. I had to buy some sunglasses at the gift shop after losing mine the 1st time a rogue wave came by and they were also surprisingly reasonable. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Checkout looked like it would be a nightmare with so many of us leaving at once but the staff was well organized and checkout and valet pickup went quickly and smoothly. This is probably the best stay we've ever had in Daytona and we will definitely be returning.…
My son and I stayed at the Hilton for a band convention and concert. The place is huge! Overall, we had a very nice stay here. Check-in was fairly quick; we are a Diamond member and they have a priority lane for Gold and Diamond members which is nice. We had a corner ocean-view room which was great, but with all the glass it was a little warm. We kept the AC set at 60 degrees and it ran all the time, keeping the room probably in the low 70's. It really wasn't a problem though; we weren't uncomfortable. The pool is quite large and had a good amount of chairs/tables too. One minor complaint is that the hotel's bars close early. The Waves bar outside was never open and the pool bar closed by 7pm. By the time we were finished with activities and dinner, the only bars open were two inside and not overly close to the pool. Another drawback is that self-parking is across busy Atlantic Ave, which is a bit inconvenient. Fortunately we didn't have to get our vehicle in-and-out very often. I would definitely stay here again.…
Stayed on the 6th floor oceanfront. The noise coming from downstairs and on the hallways was disturbing. Maybe got 3 hours of sleep. The front desk for check in was beyond slow and the valet way under staffed. They had 1 person running to get cars. In the evening to go to dinner it took 20 minutes to get the car. Beds were comfortable but won’t stay there again.
we had the best omelettes by Bianca! perfectly cooked with love! great view of ocean when eating! the only negative side was the no waffles, my daughter was quite disappointed in that but other than that it was really great!
Although the hotel was beautiful and the location excellent ... the HIDDEN FEES were exorbitant. When I checked in at the desk, I was given the rate $145 for my handicap room. I handed the receptionist my credit card, selected the room and confirmed that I wanted to book it. She rang up the room and then informed me of the taxes. I said OK. She ran my credit card. Only then did the receptionist tell me that there was a $40 valet charge for parking my car. I asked where the free handicap parking was (which is always the case) and she said there was none but that she could take off $10 and only charge me $30. I said I was exhausted and could not drive to another hotel so I would continue and book the room. Then she told me there was an additional $28 resort fee. I asked what that was for because I could not use their pool since they did not have ADA accessibility. She said the resort fee was required and she could not remove it. Although I was angry, I could not drive another block. I took the room. At checkout I asked to see a manager so I could express my concerns. None were available. I will never stay at another Hilton Hotel again. My $145 room turned out to cost $223. BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES NOT DISCLOSED AT TIME OF CHECK IN!!!…
Nice hotel. Clean room with comfortable beds. I was surprised to find this nice of a hotel with nice restaurants in a beach town. I used credit card points for one night and paid for a second so that caused a little confusion upon checking in. Wanda at the desk tackled the problem with the help of the manager and got everything straight. Then she advised me that she was able to upgrade me to an oceanfront room. That set the tone for the entire stay.
Fabulous! Bianca in the buffet was amazing! My omelet was perfect. And Tina the server has a fantastic personality. Great people. Each time I visit, I have a great time. I usually sloop breakfast. Glad I did stop in today.
Nikki at Don Rico was super attentive and sweet despite being one of the few staff here! Food tasted great as well. Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for the wonderful service Nikki!
The omelet chef Phillip at Doc Bales grill is amazing! He was very friendly and made a very good omelet. I would definitely recommend stopping by. It is 24 dollars per person and 12 dollars for children 12 and under.
