We had seen the Lantern Pike many times while driving past. Today we decided to visit for lunch and were not disappointed,we both had the lamb shanks which were beautifully cooked, Delicious! For a starter I had feta cheese salad and my wife had mackerel salad which were a meal in themselves. Definately there will be a return visit

This is a great little pub, that has it's own character. A breath of fresh air when pubs are decorated to a standard design these days. The beer is excellent. Staff are convivial and welcoming.Music is playing, but not so loudly that you can't have a conversation. Sunday lunch is excellent; but, the normal menu... Not quite sure what the menu... More

Disappointing pub lunch on a long walk with our dogs! Firstly dogs are only allowed outside - luckily it was dry and hot day so not a problem. And secondly the food was disappointing. We ordered two sandwiches cheese and pickle / chicken tikka, it was served on shop brought sliced bread! Would have hoped for at least proper crusty... More

Great find, visited late Sunday afternoon, food served all day and a fair menu. We opted for the Sunday lunch, choice of roasts & because I'm useless on trying to make up my mind the pub kindly gives you a Combo option of three meats. Included with the generous hot roast were new pots, roast pots, not over cooked hot... More

We have just returned home from a night stay at Lantern Pike Inn. The hosts Tom and Stella and indeed all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were terrific, spotless and they had all that we needed. Although our room fronted the road and could be noisy, once the windows were closed you didn't hear a... More

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at the lantern pike inn, having visited the area for a friends' wedding. We had an evening meal on our arrival in the pub. We both had excellent steaks, all served by the friendly staff. Our room was basic, which is what we expected, but had everything we needed and was very... More

Stayed in this quaint little inn as it was in a great location and right on the Kinder Trespass walk route (literally right on it ) The staff were very friendly and welcoming .The Room was on the small side and being at the front of the building was quite noisy due to the busy road passing in front ,the... Me and my friend Called in for lunch after walking the dog and was very happy. We both had the cheese pie and it was lovely. As it was a nice day we sat in the beer garden watching the chickens in the field next door. The landlady was very friendly too. Would recommend
