Do not live here. Do not rent here. Do not buy property here. Do not stay here. Don't even visit friends or family here. My family and I have been renting here since January and it's been a nightmare. The complex is in total disrepair. There are potholes all over the place, landscaping is not maintained, and trash bins are constantly overflowing. The security gate is always broken and when it is in place sometimes the pass you paid $50 for won't unlock it causing a backup all the way to the entrance. By far the worst thing about living here is that they hired a shady towing company who are out to get anyone and everyone for any (or no) reason whatsoever. Our car was towed for the tire being on the line, and had to pay $200 cash to get it out. They lied to us and said the neighbors complained, but we know they didn't. Our neighbors car was once towed because it had a sticker from another complex, even though it had an up to date tag for this complex. It's clear they are getting most of their revenue from this towing company. When we went to pick up our car, the guy threatened and berated me. He said he can come in the night and take our car for any reason. He didn't like that I questioned why our car was taken. It was an awful experience an now I'm scared he will take our car again. The management did not want to listen to our concerns about this. This is the worst complex I've ever lived in. Please avoid at all costs!!…
Value for money but that is all. The place is old and run down. We stayed in Orchid drive. The unit we stayed in was not properly cleaned. There was an iron but no board. There was dvd's but no player. The staff was to say the least rude. I had to buy plugs for the basin in the kitchen and bathroom. The wi-fi was very slow if it worked. My best advice is KEEP OUT
I rented a Townhouse from VacationHomesExperts.com and when I got to the property they have not clean for a long time. Bathrooms water was black, carpet disgusting, has mold under the sink, about 4 bolts not working, blinds missing leaving me with no privacy, just to said a little bit. Property management have ignore all my calls and emails. DO NOT TRUST Vacation Homes Experts
We rented a house on Orchid Drive that was so filthy we would not spend one night in it. We were willing to give up our deposit that spend one minute in this dump. The grout in the tile was filthy, walls were dirty, patio doors so dirty you could hardly see through the them, tracks so full of sand and grit it was difficult to open. When we complained to the Manager that we were not happy with the place she suggested we drink a bottle of wine and things would look better. I told her that I did not live in this squalor at home and I would be damned if I was going to pay to stay in it in Florida. Friends have just moved into a house on Mango St. The house stinks, the pool is not heated and the hot tub has not worked for three years. If you want to enjoyed your vacation in Florida, stay away from Island Club West, it is a run neighborhood that you don't want to be in..…
people: The HOA or front desk staff has no sense of customers service. The are the rude , unprofessional, unethical and have no empathy. From the bottom of the chain employees to the actually boss they are animals. I've seen an argument be held with a resident and an employee that could of been settled with simple Customer service skills. Property: Theres a gate that is always broken,EVERY garbage location is always overflowed onto the street, the street lights do not work at night so the streets are pitch black! And there's a hillbilly TOW TRUCK "company" that dose not do clean business , no pre warning you could have a guess pass etc and they'll still tag your car for repo for the same day. This complex hell hole is not worth it.
When we entered the street and saw the overflowing dumpster and garbage on the street, we were a bit concerned about the area. The unit we stayed in needed many repairs. The walls were very thin and could hear the permanent tenants who watched tv until 4 am. Then we could hear someone else's alarm clock at 5 am and babies crying. We could never get a good sleep. There was so much drama on the streets with people yelling back and forth. We talked to some of the permanent residents and they were quite concerned with the amount of drug dealing and disrepair of the condos. We did notice some condos had tarps on the roofs. You never know what would happen with the security gates. Sometimes they were down and traffic was backed out into the street and people's codes didn't work. The exterior of the clubhouse was nice, including the swimming pool and tennis court. We heard so many concerns from the owners of the condos about the number of slum lords in the resort and the many issues that were going on. We felt like we needed a holiday after being there.…
Property management is rude and they have no customer service skills what so ever. The dumpsters are constantly over flowing and the gate is always broken or doesn't allow people in. When problems arise the property management is apt to say "oh well I can't do anything" and all the units are owned by individual owners so everything is very unorganized.
We wwant to Universal at Thanksgiving and we found this condo for under $400 for the whole week. It was pretty and clean. The person who rented it was nice and very prompt. The pool and recreation area was not great. Dark and looked like it has been left to its own devices. The office was not open while we were there so we never got to ask about the conditions. Would we stay again? Not sure. If it's cold like it was when we went yes. In summer No.
Our family stayed for a week October 2013 and had an awesome trip. Spacious resort with lovely pool and clubhouse including gym. Floodlit tennis was most enjoyable but they also have voleyball and basketball. Ideal for trips to the Parks and the Gulf Coast. Just off Interstate4.
We were there for a week, and the pool wasn't heated. The water was ice cold. No way could we go in. So we thought lets go in the hot tub it said 104 degrees, unfortunately that was almost as cold as the pool. It definitely wasn't 104 degrees. The house we stayed was enjoyable, but we were very sad we couldn't go in the pool for the whole week. Also make sure you check in at the club house when you arrive or they slap a violation on your car for $100.00. We showed our guest pass and they waived it. The guest pass was on the dashboard, so I don't know why they insisted on putting that on the car. The people that own the house we stayed were awesome, and like I said the house was great. They need to work on their club house rules, and temp of pool and hot tub.
