Only place we would stay in crystal river... anytime of year. Love the set up of property and old style Lodge experience. Only thing I would change are the beds... too small. I do like that some rooms have been updated. Price used to be much more to room types. Updates should be made to compensate for rise in rates.... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2016

A quiet, clean home feel... like your visiting a good friends house and they want you to feel welcome and provide the most comfortable room for you. Easy chairs, big TV, small dining table, kitchen with stove, fridge, pots ,pans, tableware, microwave coffee maker, soft fluffly towels, plenty of space for hanging clothes or to put in a dresser...also, chairs... This small, family owned fishing lodge located under large oak trees festooned with Spanish Moss is tucked away into the side of King's Bay. It is a great location for quick access to waters teaming with fish and scsllops. During the week the place is wonderfully quiet but on the weekends, the place becomes lively with regulars coming back again... More

We stayed here for only one night but we enjoyed our stay! This "mom-n-pop" lodge backs up to the bay and has boat slips in close proximity to the rooms. There is a 'natural', spring-fed swimming pool with vegetation on the bottom. When I booked this stay I thought it looked really cool and figured we'd swim in the morning... More

Rooms were clean and well stocked. Staff was very friendly. Grounds were quiet and clean. Boat docks right outside the rooms. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family. Can't wait to return.

All of the units are owned by different people and some are better than others. The last unit we stayed in was the best yet but the time before it was not so great, with badly stained ceiling tiles, dirty carpet, and somewhat shabby furniture; however, our recent stay was top notch and the unit was really nice! I would... More

King's Bay Lodge is an amazing Old Florida Cracker motel. Our group of 40+ family and friends enjoy the property every year. All the kids and adults love the spring fed pool, it's a great way to cool down after a day of scalloping! The pole barn covered picnic tables and grilling area works well for our large get together... More

The furniture was a little worn, The kitchen and bath are dated. However, the location, the spring fed pool and the people who own, run and stay there make this motel a great place to stay. This was our first time and we are already planning a return trip. If you are looking for an old Florida experience....this is the... More

Very conveniently located for scalloping with docks for your boat and a natural spring fed pool. Rooms and common area need some work though. The matresses in our room were awful and the kitchen needs remodeling. The common area under the shelter is a hard cement slab with a metal roof and it is HOT under there without much airflow.

My daughter and her boy friend, my grandson and I recently stayed at The Kings Bay Lodge. It was truly a wonderful experience. The room was very clean and was exactly like the motel rooms that my parents and I stayed in many years ago. Brought back so many precious memories. The staff was very friendly and obliging. The natural pool... More
