Kings Bay Lodge is the perfect place to stay for an Old Florida get away. So convenient with the Boat dock on property and the spring pool is amazing! Walking distance to several restaurants but the in room kitchen is full kitchen and we just used that to feed our family of 14! Awesome annual family trip. Rooms are clean.
Stayed here over July 4th with 2 sons and their families and it was awesome!! Very friendly staff and accommodating. Rooms decorated very nicely and clean!! Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Large screen TV. Love how all families there so friendly and share outside areas. Kids remember other kids from previous years. Great area to dock boats and so many places within walking distance. Really hope to go back!!
Our room was surprisingly large and felt like a small apartment! We enjoyed the full size fridge, microwave and other kitchen amenities. This resort caters to families with children or active couples like us. You can walk to many restaurants and activities including swimming with the manatees and paddleboard rentals. It was not overly loud after 10 pm but people wake up early to start activities. Our room was clean. We felt safe and very relaxed. We definitely plan on returning!
We've been coming here for years with family and various friends. It's a great place to relax, hang out by the pool, grill out meals under a covered pavillion, and have easy access to your own dock and boat. Room parking is great but only one vehicle per room. It is definitely "crowded" the holiday weekend; the hotel and the waterway. If you want more peace and quiet, I would plan on another weekend.
We stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean. It was very spacious. Nice to be able to make breakfast in the room and to relax in the recliners. We couldn’t hear any noise from the other rooms or people outside using the pool or grill areas. The hotel sent a text around 1:00 on our check-in day with our room number, letting us know the room was ready. We did the Explorida manatee swim tour, we were able to just walk over to that. Could walk to a few restaurants and the little shops. We would stay there again.
Great spot for a unique “old Florida” vibe. Clean, quiet, cool pool and walking distance to most things. I will DEFINITELY choose this place again over any chain or large property. Plenty of towels, big room, helpful staff. Can’t wait to return!
Was able to check in early. Rooms clean and comfortable. Having a full size kitchen was helpful. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to downtown, walk to kayak rental locations, boat tours, restaurants etc. I made use of the swing outside and read. Will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I have staying here the last 6 years or so. Like everything about it from the surrounding area to the efficiency accommodation. They put in some nice heavy duty grills for the clients where we cook our fresh caught fish and eat at the picnic tables under the canopy. Lots of great restaurants in the area and places to visit. We've already booked next years week.
Old Florida, very relaxing atmosphere. Simple one-story motel. Unassuming concrete structure on the outside. Very quaint, nicely decorated, well-stocked and clean on the inside. Had everything we needed to enjoy our first-ever stay in Crystal River. We met 2 of the long-time shareholders of the resort who were warm and welcoming and still loved their little resort after returning there for decades. We snorkeled with manatees, took an airboat tour in Homasassa and went to Dunnellon to Rainbow River state park. There is much to do in the area. Received excellent restaurant recommendations from locals — enjoyed amazing fresh seafood meals. We had a very enjoyable visit and will return to the area and spend more than 2 days next time.
I love this lodge…everything from the manager Chancie to the cleaning personnel Candy and office worker Brittany. They are all amazing and made my stay a wonderful experience. I will be back to visit this little piece of paradise.
