I booked this hotel because I had booked an early morning manatee swim. It is a very old motel but clean and rooms are serviced every day.. We are in 220 and it is fine. There are lots of plugs at the side of the bed including usb. There is also a fridge and a microwave. The restaurant and bar next door are super. It is in the most delightful setting. You will need lots of bug spray if you are outside.

We are a family that travels often. We have been here about 6 years ago without our son to scallop. Location was convenient right on the water with direct access to the waterway that leads out to the Gulf and close to 3 Sisters. Went again this year and invited Friends to join who rented a room as well with their 2 kids. Clearly they have given up on this "hotel" seeing that they are starting to build a new one and have sold current property to be torn down. This isn't for another 5 years we were told but by the looks of the buildings, exterior, check in lobby and rooms you'd think it was next month! Nothing is appealing, well maintained or even clean looking. Our shower still had hairs from guest prior, tub peeling, floors coming up, so so outdated everything, curtains didn't even cover the windows fully so all the sun right away in the am. This should be a $59 per night Motel at best. Or just keep the restaurant, which was incredibly over priced and the separate bar structure and the ramp and boat dock access and stop renting rooms all together.

The hotel staff here is the best. Really really would come back here in a heartbeat if only to hang out with the desk ladies. They create a casual, friendly, familiar atmosphere that was so refreshing. Room was basic but very clean, bed was hella comfortable and great view of the water. Travelling with dogs, so it was nice that the room was soundproof enough that weren’t barking at every sound. Highly recommend. Give those ladies a raise!

Ad said recently renovated, that's a joke. Well it did have a vinyl floor rather than carpet. The furniture was old and worn, the sheets were probably older and tissue paper thin. Forget about the bathroom it was a horror, see pictures. On a more positive note the room was clean and the staff was very nice and apologized for the state of the room which is out of their control other than keeping it clean. The location is fabulous and the restaurant was pretty good with great service. If the staff had not been so nice and the location so beautiful it would have been a 1.

The place is old and poorly maintained. The bathroom used to have a bidet I assume; now it has the pipes protruding from the wall. And it is just an example. Throughout, there are fasteners or mysterious unused items on the walls. A missing bedside table here, water dripping all night in the bathtub. A pretty depressing place. Makes you wonder what terrible thing you must have done to deserve being here. You would think it would be really cheap, right? Wrong! Oh, the location is great though; you just need to bulldoze the 2 buildings harboring the "hotel".

We stayed for the nights for our stay cation. The office girl was super friendly and efficient. The room, although a bit dated, was spotless. Our view of the river was gorgeous. The restaurant good was excellent and the server was very friendly. The tiki bar was a great place to chill and watch the water and sunset. My only "complaint" /suggestion is being your own pillows as their pillows and beds are rather uncomfortable.

Stayed two nights while we were waiting for our family to arrive at an Air BnB rental. We booked this because I stopped here a few months ago and liked the location. The rooms are simple, not plush, but clean and functional but the location and view of the bay was five stars, We had dinner by the water and drinks on the waterside deck, both were reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. The construction work is not intrusive. I think the discounted prices that they advertise make it seem like it is an issue.

I'm giving this a 4 star because although this lovely place is definitely in need of an update, they ARE supposed to be doing that. So keeping that in mind, there are a lot of issues as far as old tile, carpet, etc., BUT, the cleanliness and STAFF make up for it and the price and location can't be beat. We had a king size, very comfortable bed. Again, the room/bathroom were spotless. Vera and Jennifer in the office are the BEST!... Kim and Faith who work hard doing the cleaning are sweethearts!!.. All of them work hard to make this a friendly, hometown place to stay. I hope the current owners and possible future owners pay these ladies well and keep them on staff as they are ALL an asset to this hotel.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day. The captains seat was held on by one bolt the back gate to the swim platform was held on by one screw as well. The seat cushions were torn apart and dirty. Their sign states that it’s is customary to tip dock hand except when we returned there wasn’t anyone on the docks. They were sitting in the office. It was windy when we returned so it was a good thing my husband is an experienced boater and was able to dock the boat without help. An inexperienced or even novice boater would not have been able to dock.

Our family stayed the first few days if May 2021. We were in Crystal River to swim with the manatees. The hotel is very reasonable and location exceptional. It is dated and little campy, which is appealing to us. It could definitely use some TLC. There was paint peeling off of the bathtub. The carpet and entry door were in need of replacement. I'm sure that it was 'swanky' in the 60s. The back door walks out to the edge of a beautiful marina that made it well worth the stay.
