We are finishing up a week long stay here for family spring break. We have a 1 BR unit. A little dated, but clean and the staff is eager to help. The only real complaint I have is the beds. The mattress in the bedroom was worn and had a pit in the middle. The pull down Murphy bed was extremely firm- so two extremes. They had a potluck picnic on Monday where guests brought side dishes and the burgers/dogs were provided. A great way to get to know some of the 'neighbors'. The pool was nice and there was always seating available. There are pool toys for kids to use. If you don't prefer the pool, there is a private walkway to the beach from the pool, or there is a walkway right next to the pool. Either way, it's about 200 ft to the beach. Many families (like ours) had a spot at the beach and it was easy to go back to the room or take a dip in the pool. Many previous guests have left behind beach chairs, and they are piled up next to the pool toys for guests to use. About 200 ft down the beach there is a umbrella/beach chair/surfboard rental place where you can rent stuff. We rented a big umbrella for $15 a day (you have to leave a $5 deposit that is returned at the end of the day- cash only). There is a 7-11 about a block away with an ATM if needed. Next to the Seagull is a little grassy area with some covered picnic tables. Next to this is a popular bar called the Sandbar Grill. Kid friendly but not so loud that we could hear it at night. There is a CVS/Walgreens right next to each other about 2 blocks away. There is a Publix a few blocks further. If you have a car, there is a Walmart a few miles away. Ron Jon Surf Shop is open 24 hrs and is 2 blocks away. There is a good selection of stuff in walking distance or a short drive. My son was a big fan of the Twistee Treat ice cream a few miles away. Laundry facilities on the 3rd floor and extremely clean and cheap. 4 washers($1.50)/4 dryers ($1.00) and a dispenser with soap ($1.00)- bring quarters as the change machine was finicky (although the office is open until 8-9 at night and they gave me change.) Pool towels are available at the office and the pool is open dusk/dawn. Everyone here has been extremely friendly and I hope to make a return trip back next year.

This place is affordable, and right on the beach (without views). That's enough for most. However, the pool is tiny and always packed. The rooms are old and kinda dirty. It's right next to A busy bar that stYs open late with live music. Don't worry, you won't hear the music though, because the AC is so loud it drowns out the band. Also, they will only let you park one car on site so if u have 2 cars you are on your own to find a spot for the second car... I much prefer paying a little more, having to cross the street for the beach and getting a much nicer place, but that's just me.

Basically on the beach, next to a park. Very good room layout. Good staff. Lots of things are walking distance. Drive to Space center short as well as POLICE HALL OF FAME and Wetlands park. Really enjoyed the stay.

My husband and I truly wanted to purchase a unit in this property, but just couldn't. We absolutely loved the location, being close to the beach, the pool and the friendly staff we're just the best. The unit itself we found to be serviceable and clean. The deal killer was really the air conditioning unit. It had an unnerving way of cycling through its settings. Fan on. Fan on with condenser. Off. Fan on. Fan on with condenser. And so on. If the fan would just stay on the condenser cycling on and off wouldn't be so noticeable. But every time it turned off and every time it clicked back on would wake us up. And there is no way to adjust it. The huge, rusty condenser sitting on the patio balcony, and every other balcony down the line, made the lovely balcony useless. It would be deafening to sit out there, or even leave the slider open to get some air. There are no other windows that could be opened, just the slider. It was so frustrating to be unable to enjoy a balmy breeze or hear the surf. Oh, and the bands play late and loud at the adjacent bars. Seagull, if you ever upgrade your systems to mini splits or something, I have my checkbook out!
