Nice resort on the beach. Clean and decently decorated. Mattress in the master is in need of replacement - crackles when you get into bed. Rooms have an oceanview, but upperfloors better. Some bedroom views are of the air conditioning system. Towel exchange three days a week. The pool and jacuzzi are nice, but right next to the parking lot. The jacuzzi is so deep, you cannot sit comfortably unless you are tall. The shaded thatched roof areas are nice if you want to sit in the shade. The resort could use some TLC on the exterior - the wooden walks to the beach are very weathered and dilapidated. The vegetation is overgrowing the walkways to the beach. Grills would be a nice addition for outdoor cooking. Staff is not overly helpful or friendly. All in all, we had a good week.…
We stayed in May when they just started to reopen. Our unit was nicely remodeled and very clean. The two bedroom unit consisted of a large master with a King bed and it's own bathroom, and a second bedroom with two twins (+ a sofa bed in the living area). All units at Discovery Beach are direct-oceanfront, so no need to worry about getting a unit with a bad view. The staff couldn't be nicer. They do have an activities desk that offers equipment rentals, excursion purchases, etc. The pool area is clean with an attached Tiki bar/restaurant. The pool is not fancy, and on the parking-lot side (we prefer resort pools that are facing the beach), however they appeared to make up for this by having lively music, attached drink/food service and some pool activities. I am giving a 5-star review for a moderate-priced, unpretentious resort category. This is not an "ultra-fancy" or "super-luxury" resort. It is clean however, with very friendly staff and kid-friendly amenities. Cocoa Beach has still retained that older-Florida, small-town feel. The restaurant prices are still reasonable, etc. The beach is standard for East-coast Florida. The Atlantic-side does not have as nice sand as the Gulf-side (West coast) of Florida, and the sea is mostly rougher, with larger waves. The kids however enjoyed riding the waves. We would stay here again, especially if visiting this area of Florida. …
An ocean front resort with all rooms being on the ocean. The staff works hard to provide great service, pay attention to the details and keep the place up. The rooms are updated and nice. Activities on site, restaurant and bar near the pool. We have stayed here several times, and it's always been a great time. You should pay them a visit.
You can't beat an oceanfront view. Every unit has one! Everything is wonderful from the time you enter the property. Clean and well manicured landscape, wonderful help-staff and TERRIFIC units with all your bare essentials. Simply, the best!
Enjoyed our week very much. Units were great. Many restaurants in the area. Only complaint was with the beachchairs & umbrellas. Had to carry from hotel to beach. Should provide a service with better beachchairs. Not a very good procedure for senior citizens. Better view from 3rd floor & above.
