Thousand Trails Orlando is frequently commended for its comprehensive amenities, such as pools and recreation zones, and its ideal location close to Orlando's key attractions. The amiable park rangers and inviting social spaces contribute to a warm atmosphere, as reported by guests. Although the spacious game and laundry rooms are a hit, some visitors suggest that areas like redfish require better climate control.
While the RV sites are clean, calls for more meticulous maintenance in certain sectors are noted. Despite the friendly staff, the value proposition is questioned due to the high costs for services.

Detailed Reviews
The location of this 1000 Trails was very good for the proximinity to WDW. However, the pad/sites are subpar. Our site was uneven and was soft dirt. The picnic table was old and splintery. We we're interested in sitting outside in our own site. My husband would stop the car in the street before parking so I could get out on pavement before he parked, so I didn't have to walk in the silty dirt. The find sand wiped up in heavy winds making the RV dirty, and/or tracked it into the coach.
Staff at front desk was rude and not friendly. She was barking orders at guests and maintenance people - a big turn off.

This was a quick getaway. This is a decent campground it needs some tlc where the campsites are concerned, but it has nice amenities and the bathrooms are spotless. The other downside for this campground is it has pay wifi and no cable, for such a large campground it is a shame that these are not part of their amenities.

Seems like a nice resort that is currently being improved. While this is happening and Covid is happening many resort amenities are not available. They seem to be trying to do a good job of cleansing and sanitizing what is available and the bathrooms. Spots are mostly spacious and back-in. Power was good, water was good, sewer was easy hookup (and on the ground so not up in the air). WiFi can be had for an extra fee. Signal for AT&T was 2 to 3 bars. No problem with satellite hookup.

As Zone Pass holders, 4 TT members were denied daily pass entry by a very rude gate attendant and again by the office staff at 4:00 pm on a slow Sunday afternoon. Their reason was that “we don’t do that anymore” and we were later told that they cannot have people going in to view the park. All other TT parks in the area have welcomed visits, providing maps and helpful information. At this Orlando Park we were asked if we had a zone pass (cheapest membership). This zone pass is being sold with daily pass benefits to all TT parks however this was not honored at Orlando. All levels of membership from zone pass to alliance (high dollar) should be treated with the same courtesy.
In addition on the day of your Reservation you cannot enter the park’s driveway (approx 1/4 mile long) until 12:00 noon. If you happen to be early by 3 minutes or even less a golf cart will approach your vehicle and tell you to turn around and leave until 12:00 noon. This puts all arriving RVs, northbound and southbound, hovering along a 6-lane very busy highway (highway 27) awaiting entry to the long driveway entrance. Very unsafe practice with all RVs trying to line up on the highway for entry at exactly 12:00. After 12:00 noon you are allowed to enter but must go to a staging area by the rec center. To make this process safer why not allow RVers to get off the road and hold them in the staging area until the appointed time. We try to avoid this congestion and take whatever is available in the least populated sites when we arrive.
Another bit of info for TT members that add the Trails Collection for an additional $200-300. We toured 6-8 Trails Collection parks while in central Florida and many said they only have 10 or so sites designated as Trails Collection and most require reservations a year in advance. With short booking windows on your zone passes this makes it impossible to make reservations for these parks.

The older areas, zone D, are being ignored. Have your staff spend extended stays at your resort so they can understand from your customers point of view. At first it looked great but after 4 days I noticed mold in the restrooms, dirty toilets, rusty chairs in the shower areas, rusty fasteners used to hold plain wood in a moist environment, and the ventilation was shut off creating what will be a very long term expensive problem to fix.

Site was very nice. We stayed on a concrete pad for the rig and patio. The pools were well kept up. The kids stayed on one side and the older adults on the other. The kids pool on the right seemed like bath water, but the one of the left was cool (refreshing). The guy at the gate was super friendly. The people in the registration office were very helpful, you can tell they liked their jobs. The only negative was the experience with the mailroom. I walked from my site in the 98F weather, only to find mail delivery is $5.00. The mail person was not very nice about that and was unbending based upon my circumstance. I would have thought she could have trusted me and I would have brought it buy the next time I went to the store to get cash. If you are going to request money, you should accept electronic forms or allow us to charge at the store. Overall we were pleased with the stay. We would have liked to have seen cable.

Nice park we will return next year and going to try to stay for a longer period. The one restroom building has been closed, from what I have been told, for several months. I understand that plans were/are to tear it down instead of repair. If so, it is possible to consider a replacement building, because you are placing a larger workload on the nearby restroom.
My suggestion for Orlando is to build a dedicated building for laundry services and move all machines to that area. Once done they could convert the now laundry rooms to family restroom/shower areas. Since allot families are in Orlando as full time families, I would think this would be a benefit to the park and them.

We had just recently purchased a new travel trailer and this was our first camping trip with it. We parked in the new section and it was great. The concrete pads were level and they kept the dirt tracked into the unit at a minimum.

This is one of our favorite places to stay in the Orlando area. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for some of the problems we have had with old/non-functioning amenities. The majority of the workout room equipment has been "out of order" or in need of repair since 2020. I understand that the pandemic caused some issues with maintenance and supplies, but it has easily been long enough for these issues to be fixed. If not, the workout room should be removed from the amenities list. We have also had numerous issues with people smoking in the bathrooms. I know this is a people issue, but the staff could be better about enforcing these rules. If the staff could be as tough on "no smoking" in the bathrooms, as they are on "nothing on the grass" or "not a minute before noon", maybe it could be controlled a little better, so that EVERYONE could enjoy the showers/bathrooms.

Boat rental at the park is suspended due to Covid regulations
There is a jetty so you can fish
Sorry to say that there is no cable tv at TT Orlando, but its located in Orlando area with a basic and HD antenna you will receive plenty of local TV stations.
Ridiculous
The only "free" wi-fi is in the clubhouse and is very slow. I drive to the "Four Corners" library where there is free wi-fi and it's relatively fast.
I have stayed here on three different occasions, never thought about it until I read the question. So I'd say, it isn't an issue.
