I can’t knock this place . No, it’s not luxurious . The pillows are small and lumpy and the mattresses are well used. It’s not on the beach, it’s on a noisy and busy corner. Don’t plan on going to bed early, there is a rooftop night club across the street but the music stops at 11:00 pm. However, the a/c is ice cold and the bathrooms are clean. If you’re on a budget and are not picky, then this is the place to stay .
This hotel is not beachfront, but it is clean and very affordable. The rooms are small and somewhat outdated but the bathrooms have been updated and are nice. The staff is really friendly and are helpful. We got there early and we were able to check in early. I will say that the hotel is in a great location close to The Edge hotel which has a roof top restaurant that is great for the sunset views. It is not very far from the beach and is across the street from a great Ice cream parlor. The only complaint I have is that is on the corner and the noise is constant. Motorcycles, fast cars and trucks. So if you want quiet this is not the hotel for you.
This is a reasonably-priced hotel that is close to everything in Clearwater Beach. It is not on the beach, but it is just a few steps away. The rooms are low-end, basic rooms, but they are clean and the bathrooms are updated and clean. Although the rooms are well insulated from room to room noise, there is quite a bit of street-noise at night from loud cars or motorcycles.
Our super group of girls came to stay for a night to check out Clearwater. We opened our room door and the overwhelming smell of cleaner hit us. We had to open our door and leave it open for hours to get the smell out. Others would have requested a different room, but we roughed it out. They clean with Fabuloso cleaner, which is very strong. I saw housekeeping pouring a big ole batch into a bucket in the morning. Ugh. We went out to dinner at Salties next door which was good, btw. When we returned, the air conditioner had leaked all over the tile floor. We cleaned it up and carried on. The pool was nice and clean. There’s a great ice cream shoppe on the property. I had cookie dough! Yum. This hotel is across the street and down the block from beach access. The pillows were floppy, shredded junk, but the beds were ok. The shower was good, but there was no view from frosted window. Not sure if I would return. …
I would recommend staying here. It’s close to everything, very convenient. Our room was on the 3rd floor; it was clean and well maintained, updated with a nice view too! The only surprise was the $10.00 parking fee, but other than that, it was a good experience and would return when I’m in the area again. The location is 10/10!
Parking is not free, $10 a day. One star because the housekeeping was excellent. All I can say is the room was clean. Run down and broken. Bed lamp fell off the wall. Curtains half off the rod. Mattress sunken in the middle. Thought my roommate was getting sick in the bathroom only to realize it was our neighbors getting busy again. Not family friendly. The walls do not even dampen the events. Loud on the front end by the street, lots of loud mufflers and boom boom music from the bar across the street. Front desk is not 24hours. Cannot recommend unless it’s the only option and all you need is clean.
Filthy comes to mind. Upon arrival at 3:30 pm there was piles of dirty laundry throughout the property along with bags of garbage. Stairwells were gross and littered. If you wanted to let light into the room you had to open your curtain which put you on full display of any passerby’s. You get what you pay for which wasn’t exactly cheap. Plus parking additional. Shower drain caked with unidentified smutch. So disappointed.
Absolutely great location! 5 minute walk to beach and a bunch of close restaurants and ice cream places. Room was ok. Yes it could use a referb but it was ok for a couple of nights. The 2 double beds were decently comfortable and everything worked fine. Shower pressure was a little low. Parking is $10 per day. Didn’t take advantage of pool but looked nice enough. Walls are paper thin so can hear neighbors and traffic easily so bring a white noise machine.
Value hotel but description needs updating. Hotel is clean and location is good, but walls are very thin. You can hear clearly conversations in next room. Hotel is non-smoking, but at each corner outside are smoking sections. So if you don’t smoke or you want to not hear the early morning smokers, request a room away from corner. The parking is also not free. It is $10 per night. The pool is small, nice area with a nice view of marina. However, the condo complex next door has access to pool so if you are a pool person be sure to go to pool early. Overall, would recommend the hotel if you are not a light sleeper, not coming for the pool and don’t mind the noise level from a busy intersection. It’s a great value.
