This is not a Quality Inn. It is a Rodeway Inn. This is by far the most digesting hotel I have ever seen. The pool was condemned by the county. The carpet was dirty. The room had a damp odor. Unfortunately we were forced to stay the night due to other hotels in the area being sold out. NEVER AGAIN

The name of the hotel is no longer Quality Inn but it is Rodeway Inn. I booked 2 nights at your hotel through Expedia for February 15 and 16, 2022. I selected pay at the hotel and when we arrived late on February 15 (after 9pm). We paid for 2 nights ($223) plus $100 deposit. When we went to the room there was smell of cigarette and the room was dirty. Receptionist offered us alternative room and it was even worse. We showed her the pictures we took and asked her to cancel our booking and refund us. She said that since we booked it through Expedia, she is unable to cancel. I called Expedia and cancelled the booking. I was informed that the hotel would charge me the first night ($108) and they cancelled the second night. Since we were tired and did not have energy to search and find another hotel, we decided to stay the first night and checked out in the next morning. The receptionist refunded the deposit, gave us account print and told us that Hotel Manager will handle the refund and may call us. Hotel Manager did not call and there is no refund made until now. I called several times but either he was not there or unavailable. I sent email message to the address provided on the statement of account (798153295) on March 5, 2022 by attaching the statement, but no response. I followed up the same message twice, yet no response. I complained about this situation to the Choice Hotel through their website and no response from the Choice Hotels as well. I would not stay in Rodeway Inn Central Clearwater at all and would stay away from hotels under Choice Hotels chain.

lets see, 1) super loud traffic all night 2) super bright light outside window, 3) bed creases in center and not comfortable 4) bathtub doesn't retain water, 5) no heat (was cold!) and oh yeah, continental breakfast is actually cheap coffee in a styrafoam cup. do yourself a favor and find something else.

Booked hotel on Priceline. Knew it was a “budget” hotel and was not expecting to be dazzled. However, THIS PLACE BLEW MY MIND! The lady working the front desk was aggressively argumentative for no reason. I was asked to pay an additional $50 at check in and she began raising her voice about a “fee for wifi, lights, phone, normal hotel things”. I shrugged it off and said I was just thrown off as I had never been asked to pay additional fees upon arrival. I said I was looking for my debit card, my husband offered his. She told me I could leave and it had to be my card. I explained I was still looking in my purse. I paid the $50. I was already feeling shook up about how she was treating me during check in and happy to get the keys and go to our room. The room door was open. It didn’t shut, despite my husbands numerous tries. The light bulbs in the bedroom area were all burnt out. The bathroom lights worked. There was mold all over the bathroom tile, faucet and drain. But couldn’t possible be responsible for the overwhelming mold smell that was triggering my asthma. I tried to tell myself to ignore it and just stay. Even though I could feel it getting worse by the minute. And even if I “tuffed it out” the door still didn’t shut. We went back to the front desk. The front desk worker was pacing outside while smoking. She seemed like she was under the influence of something. I called Priceline while I waited for her return. She paced circles and smoked for the 7 minutes and 38 seconds I spoke to Priceline. Priceline said the hotel would have to remedy the situation. The don’t give refunds. The front desk worker returned. She didn’t believe the door didn’t shut. She refused to have someone look at it. She refused to give us a room that shut staring she only had king beds and we booked a double room. She couldn’t give a screwdriver to fix the screw blocking the door to shut. She told us if we didn’t like it we could leave. She would t give us a refund. We were left driving three hours at 9pm to sleep with relatives instead. Tried to report to the BBB, only to find that this hotel is not accredited.

My husband booked a room, in person, for his son and family. He told hotel staff that guests would be arriving late--around midnight--because of a late flight. When the guests arrived, the reservation had been cancelled, even though the guests showed the staff a printed confirmation from the hotel. The general manager and other staff made no apology and no attempt to right this error of theirs. We made room in our small condo, but otherwise, his son and family would have had no place to stay at midnight. This is inexcusable. We will Never book a Quality Inn room and will tell all our acquaintances.

The hotel is old but spacious. The room looks like that of Days Inn or Super 8 but bigger. The location is convenient if needs to be near stores and restaurants. It is super noisy from traffic of HW19. We have to leave the TV on with noise all night to drown out the traffic noise. Do not expect to sleep well. Ask for the rooms by the pool side to have fountain noise drown out the traffic’s, but need to pay $10 more per night. I do not recommend this hotel if you want to rest well. Breakfast bar is suspended due to covid 19, but the hotel advertised that room rate included free breakfast.

I booked solely off of the price rate and it exceeded my expectations. I felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. The staff greeted us with a smile and good morning every morning. With any problems it was promptly taken care of. I highly suggest this for family and or couples.

I visited the Clearwater area and stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites. The staff was so helpful and nice. They were knowledgeable about the area and offered some great suggestions of things we could do.

The property is OK and met our needs for an overnight stay. The place is showing its age but it did not feel dirty or really rundown. Service was also OK but not great. Out of 5, I would say it is a 3 in pretty much all aspects. We did not use the pool but looked pretty good. Breakfast was pretty standard. If you can get a good price it would be acceptable for a day or two.

The hotel where we were supposed to stay at turned out to be a disaster. Upon leaving the beach area looking for a place to spend at least a night we stumbled upon the Quality Inn. We needed a place to stay and after sharing our story with them they gave us a great room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool at a reasonable price for the whole week. The staff was pleasant and took very good care of us!
