We just stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and the whole experience was exceptional thanks to the wonderful staff at this resort. We were upgraded to a gulf front suite, got early check-in, late checkout, beautiful flowers and bubbly in the room with a hand written card. We would like to thank Hilton and the hotel staff for making our stay memorable and very special! On top of that, the beach is amazing and the sunsets spectacular. Easy Lyft/Uber from St Pete airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great amenities, pools and direct beach access were wonderful and so easy to access from rooms. Perfect area to walk, explore shops, restaurants and marina without needing to use a vehicle!

Location was excellent. Staff was excellent. Our room was located on the 6th floor overlooking Mandalay Avenue and the harbor beyond. Wednesday night was okay but Thursday night was awful because of the loud rap crap coming from the bar across the street. Noise ordinance requires 11pm curfew but noise continued until 2am! Police notified at 12:30 but never came. They did offer us another room at 1am but we declined. If you stay at the Hilton Clearwater get a room on the gulf view side to avoid noise.

This was about our fifth time coming to this hotel from Miami, Florida. We were amazed by all of the small things that went wrong (just a few) from our room not being defeathered as requested, to our room key not working, to the phones system not working along with a safe, barely bolted down. And lastly some very unusual odd valet guys.

I’m a Hilton diamond member. I didn’t feel like it here. Yes they recognized me at check in but nothing was really included. Yes you get a $36 credit for food and beverage but my cheapest breakfast for 2 was $54. And even then they somehow only gave the credit for 1 person not two. I got that fixed at check out. So what exactly does a diamond member get. I didn’t get the promised room upgrade. Yes some water. But really nothing else. Even when I asked for a late check out I had to pay $50 (after negotiating) to go beyond 1pm. Marriott gives me 4pm every time. Even the resort fee didn’t give you the beach beds or umbrellas. This was a real shock. The Hilton on south beach include two beds in the charge. That was worth it - no here I was paying $55 for two beds and a sun shade. When I checked out the non-spa extras were $700 for three nights stay. That’s parking, breakfast, resort fee, beach umbrellas. That does NOT include the room rate! The room was old. It was clean but there was stains on the shower, the air con sounded like a train and the whole place looked like it needed a refurb. There was one apparently about 5 years ago but it clearly didn’t include the rooms. The fridge had a leg missing. So the only reason this hotel doesn’t get the dreaded one star is because the beach is so nice and some of the staff (room maid and the breakfast servers). That’s it. Everything else was a one star review. This was actually the worst hotel I have stayed in for years. Hilton you can and should do better.…

The resort's location is its best feature, but I don't think I'd stay here again. Each of the three rooms I was given here was filthy and out of date. Towels and linen were clean, however the furniture was scratched, the paintings were soiled, and the carpet was really dirty. Next time, I'll probably stay somewhere different or at a Marriott. The staff members was polite and helpful.

We stayed here in August and my first impressions of the hotel and room weren't great, but it was a miserable rainy day so that added to it. We had a delay checking in and they did give us some money off which was great customer service. The rooms are pretty standard, basic furniture, worn out but clean. The air con is the loudest air con ever which was pretty annoying at night!. We had a problem with our room when we first got there because my husbands key card would not work, he kept getting locked out. He had to get maintenance to try and fix it but they couldn't so they moved us over the other side of the hall which was exactly the same room but had a beautiful view of the beach so we were happy with that. Friends of ours had a room on the street side of the hotel which they said was really loud because of the music going on quite late so they asked to be moved so bear that in mind, although I'm surprised the sound of the air con didn't drown out the noise! I think the hotel grew on us as the sun came back out! The location is absolutely perfect. You can step right out onto the beach which was lovely, you are right next to Pier 60, there's an awesome tikki bar, the pool area was small but nice and clean. Starbucks as part of the hotel was good for a morning coffee and walk along the beach. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel needs a massive update but for the location itself it is worth staying here. …

This was a standard Hilton - nothing fancy- a little dated but paying for the beach access. It was very clean and staff were pleasant. Access to the beach and walking distance to many eateries within walking distance made it worth it. The resort fee baffles me because not much came with it for the price. Why not just increase price of the room? The spa was nice and massage was very good. Overall would stay here again because of beach access and cleanliness.

The pool and beach were awesome at this hotel (and very overcrowded), but the room did not meet the mark for the money we spent. The bathroom did seem newly renovated. However, the room itself is dated with cracks in the walls and just an overall musty smell. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price we paid.
