I use to visit every year for a girl's trip. It's been a number of years since I've stayed here, so I was excited to go back for another girl's getaway. It was exactly how I remembered it. The two ladies at the front desk were truly wonderful. The beds were so comfortable. Every night I just wanted to crawl in and go to sleep. The beach view from our balcony was stunning. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from there. We had great service at the pool. We were a little disappointed that we can no longer order pitchers of mojitos though. I think the only bad experience we had was at Sunday Brunch. We waited a really, really long time after we were seated for someone to take our drink order after watching table seated after us being served. We finally got up and found someone. They were also slow to refill our mimosas, so we asked for the bottle of champagne. The food on the buffet was amazing though. Eat next door at Clear Sky (I think that's the name) the food is so good. I definitely will not stay away as long as I did before. I can't wait to go back.

Hotel's Favorite
Fabulous 5 night stay in a beautiful gulf facing suite. What a situation, overlooking one of the nicest beaches in Florida with powder soft sand and stunning sunsets in the evening. The room was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and had plenty of storage space, and the pool area was well looked after, with comfy loungers - also a separate private beach area for guests. We enjoyed Tate Island Grill, the casual beach bar restaurant, which was just lovely for a light relaxing lunch. But the real jewel in the crown for us was our last night dinner at Carretta on the gulf - Clearwater’s only 4 diamond restaurant. Our waiter was great, and our two appetisers of veal tenderloin medallions and center cut fillet were just perfect. In fact the evening ended perfectly in the lounge bar afterwards with a couple of cocktails listening to live music. Couldn’t fault our stay here at all - loved it. Sandpearl is a 4 star resort but we’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that haven’t been as good!

My wife and and another couple decided on a last minute stay 1/2/22-1/4/22. Got a 2 bedroom suite. Check in staff and Valet very friendly. Hotel was clean and well kept. Got to room and it was a King and 2 doubles not 2 kings. They said they could only get 2 Kings for one of the nights. We said okay not a deal breaker. When looking over room we were happy to see a washer and dryer, but were shocked when the door to it randomly crashed to the floor. In addition the tile was slippery possibly from detergent and one us slipped and fell. We still wanted to have a good time and opened some wine and enjoyed the balcony and view. When going to bed we realized that one of the double beds had sand in it. Obviously sheets were not cleaned. Thankfully we had another double and we had the dirty one cleaned in the morning. Next day weather was bad so did not get to enjoy the pool or outdoor amenities, so can't say if good or bad. Spa was booked so unable to use their services. So we made most of balcony again. Checked out the next morning and were disappointed that after mentioning everything, they would at least waive our resort fees. Nope just a nod and a good bye. Later in the day we realized we left some clothes in a drawer in our room. Called right away and was told some one would call right back. Received no call back after several hours so called again. Same run around, we will check on it and call you back. Next morning after no call back called and asked for a manager and some answers. Was told the manger was busy and would call back soon. Several hours later still no call so called a fourth time. Told sorry now the manager is in a meeting. Probably a meeting that said how important customer service is. Finally a "night manager' called and said would look through some "un categorized" clothes in the lost and found. This was after reassuring me the hotel policy was to bag and tag anything found in a room with date time and customer name. She called and said the clothes do not meet the description and was sorry. So we are out a couple hundred in clothes and are sorry we recommended this hotel over the Don Cesar. We will definitely never return to this hotel and will recommend to others to not stay here as well.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. In your review you mentioned the washer and dryer door. I am very sorry that happened and we will have your engineering team take care of that immediately. I also apologize for the Housekeeping issues you experienced. That will be addressed as well. The Front Desk staff should have been more empathetic and reacted better to your comments upon departure. This will also be addressed. Again, thank you for the email. If you would like to speak personally regarding your stay, please feel free to reach out to me directly at the resort. Regards, Eric Waltz General Manager

In writing this review, I am taking into consideration that it was Christmas week and the staff was stretched thin. However, we found the service at Caretta’s restaurant and the beach poor, at times rude, flippant and unaccommodating. The rooms were nice and well maintained and the beach is very nice. The hotel is 4 stars. The service 3 stars.
