Don’t bother. For $250 a night, not worth it. The woman at the front desk was nice and helpful but the amenities offered are definitely not worth it. Here’s my list of bad points: No housekeeping The bathroom door slides and covers the door but does not close. No privacy at all. Small room Old fashioned, giant window unit AC Pool has calcium deposits all around it Noisy guests cranking music at the pool all day long Sketchy clientele Parking spaces for compact cars only Barely enough towels without asking for more. Good points: Close to beach Within walking distance of a few restaurants I thought I was staying at a much nicer place based on the website and photos from various sites. It’s a cheap motel next to a nice beach.
I NEVER write reviews for places I stay, but I had to write one for Hotel Cabana! We absolutely loved our stay here! It an older boutique hotel but they have done such a good job with the up keep. We stayed in the king size suite and our room was clean and comfortable. It was great to be within walking distance of the downtown area and a block away from the beautiful Clearwater Beach. Now, on to the staff... Kat was AMAZING!! We got there early having come in on a red eye flight and had to wait about an hour until the office opened. When Kat met us at the door we instantly fell in love with her sweet nature. She went above and beyond to get us into our room well before the 3pm check in and was such a great help the whole stay! So it is mainly for her, her above and beyond hospitality, and sweet personality that I write this review. Every single one of the staff members we encountered were helpful and kind! We will 110 % stay here again!! Thanks for a great stay Hotel Cabana!!…
Loved staying here. The room was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. It’s in a nice quiet setting and we loved having a drink on the comfy seats by the pool at the end of the night. We will most certainly will be coming back.
Hotel cabana was a great choice for us Nothing fancy just spotless clean with very friendly staff. Our room was small but we weren’t there for the room We spent all day on the beach which was across the street.Outside area looks just like pictures!
We stayed here for a week & can't fault it. We arrived late & easily found room key & welcome info outside reception. It's the perfect location if you want to be away from the busier areas but can still more than easily walk to everything. There were always free sun loungers by the pool if we didn't fancy the beach. Staff were always very helpful & friendly which always makes your holiday that little bit better! I would especially like to mention Lori, the general manager for helping me out when I had accidentally left a few things in the room but had already moved on to Orlando, she kindly shipped everything over to me at my new hotel and I was so very grateful! If we ever return to Clearwater we would definitely stay here again.
Such a quaint hotel. Walking distance to everything with out the crowds and noise. They have a variety of room types to choose carefully. We stayed in the smallest one but spent most of our time outside so who cares. Clean and friendly staff who were super accommodating. Allowed us a late checkout so we could cleanup before catching our flight. Trolley stop across the street and short walk to the quiet area of the beach. Will be coming back. We booked on Booking.Com but will call them direct next time. It was a couples weekend and they were sweet to get us all close too each other.
We stayed for three nights, check in easy and very quick. provided with parking pass to park on Mandalay Avenue right outside the hotel. Though parking is not guaranteed, went out one day and no space when we returned, but asked at reception and the lady quickly showed us where else we could park - outside their vacation rentals across the street. Had a one bedroom suite with small kitchenette. ideal for a few nights. Lovely comfy sofa and the bed was the one of the comfiest. Only negative was the size of the bathroom, very small especially the shower cubicle. Pool area was very clean and plenty of sun beds.
The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful - Lori was awesome. Rooms are well kept and clean. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel is in a quiet area and across the street from the beach. There is a spot near the pool that has items to use at the beach - coolers, lounge chairs. Also a short walk to all of the restaurants. Have stayed at the hotel 2 times and will definitely be back.
Small hotel located one block from the beach at the north end of Clearwater Beach. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment in the newer section of the property located on Somerset Street. Our room and the property in general were in excellent condition. Parking was available immediately adjacent to our room. Pool area just outside our door. We enjoyed the fact that the property was at the end of the commercial area of Mandalay Avenue, yet restaurants, etc were less than a mile walk away, Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall a very nice property, in a great location and just a short walk to the beach. There was nothing not to like. We will be returning to this location on our next trip to Clearwater.
I had read the reviews and they reflect my experience: it’s a small hotel (less than 30 rooms), with small rooms but we’ll organized. I was traveling solo, so it was ok with me but, if you travel with others, you really need to be intimate as the bathroom is really tiny. Very helpful host and I was also allowed to leave the room one hour later than normal check out. The hotel has a pool but I opted for the beach which is beautiful and literally across the street. Parking was available (with no extra charge) which was a blessing as parking in Clearwater tends to be expensive.
