We stayed in A3 so the room is a little different from the main photo on here. It's a pull down queen sized bed which was comfortable but it does leave a large gap behind it and with a baby, it wasn't ideal.
We booked via Air BnB and we had to wait a while for responses to questions we had but luckily the staff in the office were able to help.
Having said this, we did have a lovely stay as the pool was great and the regulars were friendly.
The location is perfect with the view of the harbour and just a few minutes walk to the beach.
I'd go back but maybe book a different room.

Great family friendly place. Just a short walk to the beach. Bay view. Nice warm swimming pool. My son loved that they having fishing poles you can borrow. Great place. Lots of things to do with in walking distance. Look forward to coming back.

This is our happy place. Coral resort is friendly, safe and so clean. Patti and Michelle do a great job. The pool is so nice and the dock over looking the intercoastel is fabulous. See you next year! We always stay in the same unit A1 and it’s beautiful. Love the patio area for morning coffee and Happy hour.

I happened to find this place about 6 years ago searching the internet for a new place to stay in Clearwater Beach. Growing up, my family vacationed 1 month every year on the beach, and one visit on business to the St. Pete area I had to check out my childhood beach playground. The memories all came back and I decided that I needed to start coming down here again (with my significant other now). Checking out my family's motel (right across the street from the beach), I found that they still had the same EVERYTHING in the rooms that they did in the 70s and 80s! Ummm - yuck, so I searched the internet and found The Coral Resort - "The Friendliest Place In Florida!" There motto is true! I booked our 9 day stay in one of their little studio rooms. Clean, friendly, and very relaxing! If you are looking to get away for peace and quiet, somewhere where you feel at home, and somewhere very affordable, this is the place! It's paradise - and on the bay so you can watch the dolphins in the evening - or a quick walk to the Gulf! You have to check this place out!

This resort is not the fanciest but it is a great value and a fantastic vacation. The large, free-form pool is a great way to spend the afternoon and you can get lots of exercise just walking arount the islands in the middle. The beach is just over the dunes and even in the middle of July we have not been crowded. You could pay a lot more and not have near as good a time.

The Coral Resort is like going back in time to vintage Florida and reasonable prices, too. It is conveniently located, walking distance to the beach as well as to the famous Frenchy's, a much beloved haunt by locals and tourists alike for great grouper sandwiches. The hotel has a waterview of the intercoastal but is also an easy walk to the beach. It has a lovely patio and bbq area and pool, plus its own dock and pier. Locals with a boat could even dock here.

Unit D-1 is especially nice. It has the original wood floors restored and a cute Key West theme.

There are no plans to tear down the hotel. That deal must have fallen through so I hope the other reviewer finds this out. Would be an excellent place for family reunions. The rooms all have their own kitchens, too, plus a living room and bedroom. A little gem among all the glitz.

This was our second time staying at this property. Last year we rented a studio and because it was a bit too small for three of us (two adults, one child 9 years old), we rented a one bedroom this year. Much better. The purpose of our stay was that my daughter attended a weeklong camp at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, so we were looking for something inexpensive where we could prepare some of our own meals. The condo was very clean, great AC, and spacious. In this complex, the condos all have different owners, so what you get in one may differ in another. Last year we stayed in C4, second floor studio. Well equipped, but small, had a Murphy bed and futon, a small table with two chairs and a tiny bathroom. Again, it was clean and served our purpose, but the one bedroom was more spacious. The one bedroom we rented was B1, with a great view of the intercoastal and right near the pool. We liked be condo. I do have a few suggestions for the owner in regards to the amenities. The knives were all dull. There wasn't one that could slice a tomato or cut a steak. There were very mismatched bowls, etc, and not in varying sizes. Esp since we decided to cook, this was an issue. The utensils and appliances needed upgrading. For example, the blender leaked and there were no scissors or basic kitchen utensils like tongs, etc. I mean, a trip to the dollar store would resolve this. I would also suggest providing beach chairs and fishing pole for guests. Also, the leather couch was all worn in the front and not very appealing. Everything else was great, sufficient number of towels, sheets, blankets, etc. The property itself was extremely well maintained by a very hardworking groundskeeper. The pool was clean and clear and never overcrowded. The bbq area was clean and in working condition. We used it several times. The dock was very clean and a beautiful place to sit out and enjoy the Dolphins. The condo was two short blocks to the beach and within walking distance to everything in the area, including restaurants, Pier 60, a 24-hour Walgreens, etc. There is also an awesome new organic coffee shop right at the corner called Bassimo...highly recommend. The location was really perfect. It was less than a five minute drive to the aquarium and you could see the aquarium from the condo across the intercoastal. I would def recommend and will likely stay again. Oh, yes, and there was great wifi.

We have stayed here for the past several years and always enjoyed ourselves. Management this year was an absolute pain. They posted letters on the doors of everyone's condo reminding them of the rules. Treated guests, including ourselves very poorly. There was a group from Holland, MI that left their beach gear on the patio, an aquarium with crabs and smelly shells and the lady was a real peach. It's unfortunate that the management is so concerned with poor reviews that they miss the big picture. If people have fun they will come back. Well we didn't have fun and our group that rented five units is going elsewhere this year. Leslie and Jamie your management and the lack of respect for your longtime guests is THE reason we will not be staying at the Coral Resort again.

Sally you will be deeply missed, our kids truly enjoyed everything you taught them about shelling. For the past five years we have always asked them where they want to go and stay and every year it was Clearwater Beach and Coral Resort.

Unfortunately this year even our kids said let's try something different, "Those managers were really really mean."

I hope the board has enough sense to see to it that this type of management is causing loyal guests to leave.

We have stayed at the Coral for 2 yrs. and was looking forward to going back in May 2004. We were told that the Coral will not be there after Nov. 2003. This was a terrific place to stay. Nice people, nice pool, clean large rooms, beatuiful view. What a shame it has to be torn down.

We love the Coral Resort and never have had a bad experience. We are staying for our 4th time in 18 months next month. We would never consider staying somewhere else as long as the Coral Resort is around. You are looking for a unit for a family of 3--any of the 1 bedroom units would be great for you. A2, C1, C2, D1, D2, B1, B2 downstairs or upstairs B5. These all have one bedroom but 2 beds per bedroom. E3 is a 2 bedroom unit and very nice. We have never stayed there but have looked at it and booked it for May 2018. We have only stayed in the studio units and these would be tight for a family of 3. It could be done if the 3rd person was a small child and could sleep on the futon that most units have. You'll just have to look at the pictures and go from there. Maybe someone else on here has stayed in the 1 bedroom units. We did look at the C units and they are also very nice. Enjoy your vacation!!!

I beleive they have a 3 night Min. June is low season but also depends on what unit you have decided on. The prices at Coral are very reasonable. Rates range from $79 - $169 per night plus taxes.
