Property's Favorite Review
Only stayed a week but wished it longer. The laid back non-commercialized lifestyle was exactly what I was looking for. The kayak fishing was fantastic. Sunsets spectacular. Walter and the staff were very helpful. The RV site was a little tight and rustic but there is a great outdoor sitting area (The Chickee) over looking the marina and water. I will go back

We stayed 3 nights here in March 2020. The area and the marina are very laid back. This place is the farthest south you can go on the west side of Florida. The staff is extremely helpful and all promises were kept. Just call the right number for all questions. 2396952414. Walter and company are outstanding!

We did not receive a warm and welcoming hello. We had a confirmed reservation for our stay, but the receptionist insisted we did not! As she realized that she was looking things up incorrectly, she mentioned that she gave our "room" to another guest. After some finger tapping on our part, she sent us off to our accommodations. This trailer was very 1950's vintage with a very small twin bed bedroom. We had a sense things were staying together with bailing wire and duct tape. And in actually, the shower area certainly had tape (probably plumber's tape) around the the shower head. The areas under the beds had not been dusted for ages. The mattresses needed replacement years ago. The location was great, but there were several other nicer looking accommodations in the area.

Stayed one night here, campsites are okay( little cramped and no privacy) washrooms and common area is super clean and nice. We rented a boat and went out fishing, never had been boating or fishing in the glades before. Walter hooked is up with everything we needed and gave us lots of advice and tips. Took the boat out for four hours for $160. Saw lots of dolphins, stopped on a private beach, caught some fish, was a great day. My bf wanted to experience shark fishing so Walter also introduced him to a local that he met that evening on the dock right at the resort, their group caught a 4’ bull shark which was super cool. Overall great experience!

We would not recommend this RV campground and Marina. It is very crowded with inadequate parking. It is a combination of seasonal, transient RV park and marina. So there is a constant flow of boats launching and recovering along with RVs arriving and leaving. The spacing between sites is extremely tight even by southern Florida standards. However, the real issue is their lack of control of dangerous, aggressive dogs (and their owners). During our two week stay, there were two unprovoked attacks on dogs being walked on leash. One of the attacks was on our 19 pounds, 14-year-old. A pit bull mix came out of a space between sites and latched on to her. It took four men to get the pit bull to release her. It almost killed her and resulted in thousands of dollars of emergency veterinarian bills.
