We had a great weekend at Sunset Isle. Our site was mostly level level and had a good view of the Gulf. It was off season and we had few near neighbors. The staff could not have been nicer. The facilities are a little dated but so are we. We were there with a small group. We all agreed we...

This hidden jewel on the "forgotten coast" of Florida is the most charming campground that we've been to so far. It's very small but, as its name indicates, it has the most spectacular sunset you can imagine (see pictures). Our site backs up directly on the water to give us a serene view of the marsh. The island is basically...

We checked in on a Friday mid-day and so were a bunch of others. We had to wait at least 20 minutes because 2 other campers were trying to park their rigs in their sites. The sites are TIGHT! A lot of these people had big campers and this campsite is just a little small for most of them. We...

Came here to visit with friends that winter in their RV in the Park. I rented one of the small motel rooms, and it was very nice. It's an older mom and pop type of place with only 4 rooms, but it was clean, cute and everything worked. I am a serious coffee drinker and an early riser, so I...

Just stayed in the small motel in the popular RV Park and was thrilled with John & Gail's excellent efforts at making my visit just perfect. The rooms are clean and comfy and quiet. A/C works great too! Off the beaten path, but a nice walk to downtown and Dock Street for all the "action." Much loving work has been...

My visit to Sunset Isle RV Park was on March 17th in celebration of St. Patricks. I drove from South Florida only to get there and be told that not only was the pull thru site that I requested not available but that my reservation had been deleted. They did find a site to put me in but it was...

Our first time here, we saw many winter residents that return each year. Very friendly place and full at this time of year. Reservations or a call ahead recommended at this time of year. Many of the sites are a little tight, but they can accommodate larger units. Good Sam discount. About a mile to town, which made it an...

On the water, or just walk to watch the sun set. Easy to bike into the small town. Great place to launch n use a kayak even though we didn't get to do that due to the weather. Restaurant on site. ---good reliable Wi-fi, which is rare. A slow quiet fishing town. Traveling in an RV.

Very close to Cedar Key. The park is very nice, they have a number of sites on the water but you will need to reserve well in advance to get one. Not a lot of space for large rigs but it is doable. Like most Florida Campgrounds sites are close and not a lot of privacy. If you get a...

In a 1500 mile trip, this was the most inadequate and high-priced motel at which we stayed. This review is for the motel (maybe 2 units?) not the pretty popular RV sites. We saw the room beforehand and it was clean and neat, certainly no frills. As it has no refrigeration, we were directed to the coin-operated ice machine to...
