Each year we hold a get-a-way to the Faraway Inn. This year was our eighth year. We have members who have booked for next year. When you have this many well traveled people who would not think of going anywhere else, that should tell you how much they appreciate the Faraway Inn and most assuredly the Staff. It's just that good of a place to be on Cedar Key. My Wife and I visit other times of the year also. We prefer Cabin#2, but have stayed in other rooms. Each in excellent condition. Respectfully submitted DC.

Great little cottages! Great place to catch the sunset. Rooms look exactly like pictures on website with microwaves and refrigerator, with a BBQ grill for community use. Quiet area, but close to the village area to walk or a short drive. Great weekend spent here!

Full disclosure, we were booked at a different B&B in Cedar key. We were traveling with our VERY LARGE dog. Our first options rooms were beautiful, but way too small for our dog and us! In all fairness, they did not charge us and allowed us to cancel on the spot. We found Faraway Inn and noticed that they were "Dog friendly!" My wife went in and inquired, and they had a room available, my wife checked the room and was very happy with the place! The "captains quarters" were spotless and spacious and consisted of two rooms, one is a kitchenette, and the other is the sleeping area with a queen-sized bed. Both rooms have there own A/C units. The captain's quarters also have a stove and full-sized refrigerator. There's a bayside open-air lounging area with swings and small tables under a roof to shield you from the sun. The view is spectacular!!! The Inn staff is very accommodating and friendly so please be kind to them!

We spent a night in the Captain's Cottage again! We have stayed at Faraway multiple times in previous years and are always pleased with the hospitality! We travel with a pet and they are very accommodating! Room was very clean and updated to make you feel like you are in your own home, rather than a 'hotel setting'. Will stay again when we are in the area!!
