Great owner, staff, and location. Enjoyed our time on the porch catching up with friends. This will definitely be a do-over for us! Fabulous breakfast, coffee, tea, and snacks always available. Love Cedar Key and this Inn was the best!

Our 2nd visit to this beautiful well-run B&B and it won’t be our last. Great location. Friendly staff and guests. Best breakfasts! Our dog loves it too! We stayed both times in Nanas Room. It’s small but only sleep there. Spend most of our time out and about. But, when there, they have a beautiful porch and big fenced yard.

Wonderful night a short drive away from Tampa. Delightful surroundings, nice grounds, comfortable room, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast (and cookies!). Great location near the water and restaurants.

I hate to leak out just how wonderful this B&B really is. Alice (owner) and her staff are all delightful women; energetic; kind and a wealth of information. We stayed in The Tree House Suite which consisted of a full kitchen, nice sized bathroom, desk area for either your laptop or makeup mirror and a queen sized bedroom area with a balcony overlooking a 700 year old oak tree and the beautiful grounds below. I was amazed that this unit was equipped with such a nice set of cookware (that's not the norm in most places that we have stayed they are scratched, dirty and unusable); a coffee maker with everything you need and then some to make and flavor coffee; popcorn; water bottles (at a nominal charge), a very comfortable bed and television in the bedroom hung high enough that you can actually see a program while laying down. The morning full breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m. We were served delicious pancakes (loaded with shaved chocolate, whipped cream and a maraschino cherry), a sausage link and a perfectly cooked over easy egg. Coffee, tea, juice, water etc. If your an early riser they do have lighter fare (fruit etc.) beginning at 7:00 a.m. and if you have any special dietary restrictions or a need to eat at an earlier time they will gladly accommodate you. The preferred method of travel on the island is via golf cart and renting one was very convenient as they are available at the B&B. We did reserve ours prior to arrival, however the owner's husband is in the golf cart rental business at another location nearby. We had only to walk downstairs, across the grounds and unplug our golf cart; very convenient. Parking was in no way an issue for our vehicle; some roadside parking and there is off street parking at the B&B. This was our first time in Cedar Key and I would highly recommend talking with Alice about the highlights/places to visit. We failed to do so until our departure morning and discovered that we had totally missed half of the island. Oh well, just another reason to return and we definitely will.

We highly recommend the Cedar Key B&B ...there was three of us staying in Jack's Room for two nights. Having never been in Cedar Key, we were happy to rent a golf cart and explore the area. The weather was not good, including tornado warnings , but we were still able to go with Bill on a plane ride and a boat tour which we highly recommend. This B&B was very comfortable and special. The old oak trees-one was 700 years old, and another 400 were spectacular. The staff and owner were SOOOO accommodating, warm, and so great. The cats and dogs hanging around added to the charm. The location was perfect. I would love to come back. There were many wonderful touches, like having the kitchen open, and the many sitting areas. The fragrant soaps were lovely. I took a luxurious bath in the large claw foot tub.. awesome! Only suggestions were in the garden which must take a lot of tending, could be enhanced with some FL native plants like coffee, rouge, fire spike, and corky stem to increase butterflies and lower maintenance time. The jasmine was blooming and so wonderfully fragrant on the arch welcoming one in from the parking area. And again thanks so much for being so accommodating.. we had to change dates due to illness and very easy to work with. It was the perfect girls weekend trip! Thanks, Barb, Barb and Kathy

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was hospitable, the food was very good, the bed was comfy, and the grounds are lovely. We stayed in Nana’s Pantry room which is right next door to the Summer Kitchen room, with both entry doors directly off the main porch. As a result, in the early morning we could hear folks chatting, and also during the afternoon which prevented an afternoon nap. The bathroom was very small, the sink was tiny and very low. My husband is 6’3” and it was uncomfortable for him to use the space. Just good to know going in, in case those few issues would be a consideration.

Thank you for your review and comments. We take all suggestions seriously and I never thought about a tall person navigating the bathrooms in the two intimate rooms. I will let my web person know about adding a comment about being tall and the sinks low. Thank you, Alice Owner

Cedar Keys B&B is truly the “GEM” of this quaint little town. Our stay with Alice and Heather was very enjoyable , our room “the Girls room”, was lovely. The food was delicious and the other guest made our stay a very peaceful getaway.

The old quaint home is tidy and clean. Staff was amazing and breakfast was spot on. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a while! The walk to Dock Street where the action is the perfect distance for a stroll. Dog lovers will appreciate the fenced in grassy area with a baggy dispenser. We’ll be back!
