#1 of 3 B&Bs / Inns in Carrabelle
GreenLeaders Gold level
The Old Carrabelle Hotel in Carrabelle, Florida is a "Key West style inn on The Forgotten Coast". Once the end-of-the-line railroad hotel, now you may enjoy all the modern comforts in an Old Florida casual atmosphere. Important Note: check our Hotel website for current rate info. Rates on this site may not be accurate. There is just something about the experience of a 1900-ish inn at the coast (or a coastal cottage at the coast) that no newer motel-hotel can equal. And we are a very different B&B operation - free beach restaurant breakfasts for Hotel guests, and self check-in -- just for starters. Make your own reservation online, and receive back a confirmation with all the info you may need. Don't Expect: traffic lights, lots of people, McHamburgers, bungee jumps or late-night noise. Do expect: the best seafood, eco-activity opportunities in every direction, cultural/historical activities and a lot of peace and quiet time on the property, in the forest or on the beach or water!

Thanks for a great time in this place. As previous comments indicated it was a very funny experience to come along and find all instructions in writing. Our Captains Room was really nice with its seperat bathroom, fridge etc. There is also a living room for a chat with other guest or sharing drinks. We felt very comfortable with setup, decoration and whole experience - see my review on breakfast / dinner ( Junction / Fisherman‘s Wife ). Since this is a historical building you may want to choose a 2nd floor room to avoid sounds from upstairs. Other than that a great experience on our journey and architectural studies along Floridas coastline.

Many thanks to Switzerland! We have always found that our European visitors are extra-appreciative of our work to preserve the "old" although it's only from 1900! And we hope you will come this way again. Skip and Kathy

I had plans two different weekends on the Gulf Coast that involved a lot of activity. Instead of driving back to Georgia for the weekdays in between I booked the Old Carrabelle Hotel to spend four days days somewhere uncrowded and relaxed. So I chose "Florida's Forgotten Coast" and the hotel as base for day trips to the surrounding areas. I arrived with no set plans, just some ideas, and decided each evening what to do the next day. The hotel was perfect for this - more like a home than a hotel. I had the Magnolia room, which has lots of natural light and a very large bathroom too. I mainly visited lighthouses and state parks in the area, and it was the perfect place to return to each night. They do not offer breakfast, but you get a breakfast voucher that you can use at a couple of places within a very short walking distance. Quiet, comfortable, affordable. Much better than a regular hotel.

Spent one night at this comfortable B&B on our way home. Great location, room was excellent, host very accommodating. B&B decorated very creatively. Loved our nautical themed room. Enjoyed the outdoor wrap around porch both upstairs and down.
