I stayed at this hotel in June 2020 and again on August 13th and 14th. I originally wrote this in an email on August 24th that i sent to the hotel via their email system but yet to get any reply so I will communicate via this review and hopefully the hotel management team will do something about the problem so others will not have the same experience that I did. I did not have an internet connection that would allow me to fill out the survey sent to me by the Hampton Inn Cape Coral, FL before it expired as I was on a motorcycle road trip at the time. Since I could not fill in the survey I will tell you my stay in room 221 was nice except for one thing that I simply can’t ignore. But first all of the staff were fantastic to interact with. The facility over all was a good place to relax. The issue relates to the “PET FRIENDLY” rule. I really like dogs! I don’t currently own a dog but my daughter has two dogs that visit me often. So this is not about the dogs that stay overnight at your facility. It is about the fact that the floor/carpet in room 221 smelled like DOG POOP something I did not realize until I had checked out on August 14, 2020. I discovered this when I was placing my socks and undershirt in my dirty cloths bag while packing my gear. I had walked around in the room only with my socked feet which is a habit when staying in hotels. I had also staged an undershirt on the floor while it was waiting to be packed. When I picked up this shirt along with the socks I had worn the day before in the room they reeked from the odor of “DOG POOP”. I surmise that in order not to have to pay for the carpet cleaning in the room an "unscrupulous guest" just wiped the carpet off (and not very well but enough that if was not obvious to anyone) after their poor dog couldn’t hold it any longer or other similar scenario. I doubt if that room carpet has been cleaned in a long time because my socks were also very dirty on the bottom which is my reason for wearing them in the hotel rooms to start with. I am not sure if Hilton offer pet free rooms for non-pet owners but after this disgusting episode I will defiantly be asking in all of my future stays in the Hilton Hotels. Hotel management, please do something about this issue so others don't have the same bad experience that i had. Thank you

We checked in and had a great host at the desk. He gave us several suggestions for a nice non chain dinner place. Our room was clean. The breakfast is always very adequate. If we are ever in Cape Coral we will definitely go back here.

The pool was way too cold and very small also not enough handicapped rooms grab bars by toilets should be a thought. Overall stay was ok room was clean and housekeeping provided whatever we needed. Food staff very friendly but basic breakfast fresh fruit was ok but bacon very greasy. Smoothies were awful

Worst hotel ever. Too expensive for the quality and service. The bath was not clean at all with pills on the floor. The breakfast was poor for the quality and service. The snacks were ultra super expensive.

Excellent Stay! We stopped here as we were road tripping the FL coast. After expensive stays in VRBOs from Marco Island to Sanibel, this was a treat. Clean, up to date and a very good breakfast! Staff is very friendly!
