We booked this hotel for one week based on the photos and description of a 'hidden Gem", upon arrival we were extremely disappointed. From the minute we arrived and tried to check in at 1:55pm, we were told our room wasn't ready. The girl in charge was totally RUDE and advised check in was 3pm. As we headed back to our car the housekeeping staff were just finishing our room #209 so I went back to the office to let the girl know, again she was not nice at all. She went and checked on the room and said it was ready but we would have to pay a $20 early check in, SERIOUSLY...at this point less than 1 hour early. As we entered the room, it was old, dated, the kitchen had very few accessories, the bedding was mismatched. The pool was green and was told not to get in. The pool furniture was horrible (very OLD). The girl in the office was annoyed every time I would ask for clean towels, etc. She was always on her phone speaking Spanish and it was like I was a bother. There was on room where there was something unusually going on, it was either drugs or prostitution. Yelling and fighting late at night. The only good thing about this is a very kind housekeeping girl named Paula. She was an angel and a very hard worker. Take my advice, STAY AWAY!!…
My wife and I stayed here a couple of nights while in Cape Coral for a family event. On occasion, we enjoy staying at the small, locally owned hotel where we often find a unique experience with better than average customer service. Much of what we found at the Hideway met that criteria...in particular the helpfulness of the front desk staff. The hotel set in a neighborhood and very quiet. The rooms were a bit dated but satisfactory for a short stay. I would have given our experience a better rating but we had a couple frustrating issues that in the end were left unresolved...which included that the TV did not work the entire stay and we had cold showers with slow tub drains on the second day. The clerk did work with the cable company but they were not able to resolve the issue due to a weekend stay. We asked to speak to the manager/owner...but never received a call back. We made a follow-up call and were ultimately offered a discount on a future stay on behalf of the owner by the desk clerk. As we explained, this was of no value as we have no plans to return to Cape Coral anytime in the near future. If we do, we will probably checkout one of the chains.…
Very clean, quiet and relaxing place to stay. It was a short drive to downtown restaurants and businesses. It was reasonably priced. We enjoyed the large deck outside along the water canal. Every time we sat outside we had the whole deck to ourselves. I even took a nap outside. My only suggestion is that there should be a mop in the rooms because the floor got dirty from our shoes and we had to go buy a mop.
The staff was friendly and professional. Rooms are inexpensive, clean, quaint, pet friendly, and have a nice kitchenette. There’s a nice pool and lounge area in the front of the hotel and in the back is a lovely beach-like area with coconut trees along with a beautiful lounge area that overlooks the canal. Perfect for grilling, yard games, sunbathing, and a little late-night gathering with the other guests. The hotel is in a nice, quiet area of Cape Coral. It’s away from all of the late-night, spring break hubbub that the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area has to offer, but not too far if you’re into that kind of activity. It goes without saying that my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway Waterfront Resort & Hotel. We’ll definitely be returning customers.
I just got back from Punta Cana and I don't need to go back again. I found the same weather and beauty with open restaurants and no curfews right here in the good old USA. Hideaway has an excellent staff, smiling and welcoming when you arrive. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and relaxing. They do a great job of keeping everything clean and safe. There are plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and bars within minutes. It's a very convenient location. A+
I stayed a night in Cape Coral and chose this locally owned hotel to support the economy. When I arrived and saw the property and the suite, it was even better than I expected. I could live here! The suite has a nice sized living room with desk and many lamps, a small kitchen with a stove and full size refrigerator, a bathroom with a heat light, and a big bedroom facing the canal. The back deck overlooking the canal was a wonderful space to sit and relax with several tables and chairs. The pool area in front is beautiful too. You’ll love this place if you love boutique hotels and uniquely decorated places and want to be in a neighborhood right on the water.
Was looking forward to the weekend stay. Checked in on Friday. On the surface when you first walked in it was dated but appeared clean. It was not! I used so much of my disinfectant spray and wipes, and it wasn’t enough. I would have left that night but couldn’t find another hotel room. I left first thing Saturday.
The staff and owner were amazing and very knowledgeable of the area. I would stay here again and again!!! Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Pool was very clean and heated! I recommend this place highly!
This is a great getaway spot. Rooms/apartments are clean. Back area overlooking the canal is awesome. Tables, grills and shade. We grilled out in the evenings and enjoyed the outdoors with our little dog. Will differently be back.
Strangely Enough I stayed here on 02/02/2020, And stayed in Room 202. O.o Amazing Place to Stay for the Cost! Hidden off the Main road about 3 blocks in, on a canal, pool, etc. At first I was a little Skeptical, because at first glance it's not a multi billion dollar resort, but I just gave it a shot, and the interior was exceptionally Clean, spacious, nice water pressure, no Shenanigans etc. One of the Best points about this place is clearly KYLE. The Staff onsite is absolutely Amazing. Friendly fast professional customer Service and follow through. Kyle went above and beyond, working diligently to meet and exceed guests needs, take care of pool area, easy to talk to, and fast efficient professional worker. !! Save a hundred bucks and go here vs larger chains near by. Michael…
