This hotel is situated in huge grounds and a marina with with several restaurants and bars and shops etc. The room was large and well equipped and had a nice balcony which was surrounded by a very thin mesh to keep the midges out which was a nice touch. The air con was quiet and there was a huge TV, a kitchenette and good sized bathroom. The hotel was huge and airy and very nice, we ate at Pinchers and the Nauti Mermaid and both meals were good and plentiful, a little above average prices maybe but then we are a captive audience as Fort Myers is a bit of a trip away and apparently not up to much anyway. I would recommend Fort Myers beach though for a trip out. The housekeeping at the hotel is a bit hit and miss but in these early post covid months where staff are short (and this applies everywhere) it's to be expected. Overall a very good experience. …
We had the most amazing time at the westin Cape Coral. The staff was very helpful especially omar at the front desk. He is extremely helpful. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with the stunning architecture Lobby xWith spiral staircase and yummy food.
The check-in the process was cumbersome and awkward. My husband had lost his wallet and had a temporary driver’s license. The receptionist would not let him check for our 5 night stay in a 2 bedroom suite because the temporarily license did not have a photo. He offered his Marriott Bonvoy credit card, they could verify that he was a Platinum member, offered my driver’s license with photo, and we are both listed on the Bonvoy account but was still denied check in. After a long process to find a manager and digging through luggage to find his passport we were allowed to check in. As a minor point we are both in our 70s and unlikely to be stealing someone’s identity. The process was horrible made us feel unwelcome!!! To give the receptionist credit she thank us for being loyal longtime Bonvoy member… the irony! In hind sight we should have walked away. I would rate the manager at ZERO stars and the receptionist at *** stars. The unit was tidy and clean but lacking supplies: dishwasher soap, bath mats, tissue, and kitchen towels. *** The standout at the Westin was a lady from housekeeping who brought us the supplies that were missing. Though she did not have the kitchen towels she made an additional trip to our unit when some became available. ***** +…
Our waitress Karen was amazing. So thoughtful. Great views. We had the Grouper sandwiches which took longer than I should to come out. When it did come out mine was cold and under cooked. Disappointing. At least the facility and service was great. We also just made it for the Happy Hour drink special but on get one free.
Bed begs is all I can say. When we notified the front desk, we were assured they would do a “thorough investigation” and the manager would call us. No one called us. I waited a week to let this settle before writing this review, although my legs were covered in bites from our 2 night stay. Now it appears they have traveled home with us.
Stayed for a long weekend for my husband's birthday. I requested a nice view, but didn't receive that. We were on the 2nd floor that overlooked some trees and some body of water, but not the marina. I'm not sure if those are only given to members or people paying for the rooms with kitchens? Also tired of hotels not providing cleaning or at least daily towel and garbage. They seemed to have plenty of staff for valet parking and all the events occurring. Love the smell of the lobby! Enjoyed walking around the marina and shops. Enjoyed the small main pool and husband visited the fitness center. If we were in town again, I would possibly stay here again if the price was right and they bring back cleaning.
The property is a little old but kept nice. Upon retiring for the evening, I laid in bed and after a few minutes felt damp. When I pulled the sheets back, there was a very clear yellow stain on the sheets as they were soaked in URINE!! It absolutely wreaked!! They changed my room and offered to comp me for the night. I believe they should have done was more than that. THAT IS DISGUSTING!!! The management team tried to pass this off as water. Nonsense!! It was urine. I would NEVER reccomend staying here. The management did not handle this correctly andMarriott lost a customer for sure.
We Stayed for 6 nights on points. our upgraded room with Marriot Suite upgrade Certificates gave us a high room with a view of the Marina. Not really sure if it was an upgrade room had a kitchen, bedroom with two queens and a living area. They do not offer daily maid service and you have too call the night before to schedule due to covid even though its April of 2022. I understand short staffs in todays age. I have stayed in Marriott Properties over 1,500 nights so I do look at the Westin Flag with a higher expectation that was not met The pro's 1. Breakfast buffett 2, Exercise Room 3. Covered Parking Garage 4. Nice Marina to walk around nice outside restuarants and shops The Con's 1. Small main pool with poor service 2. Staff seemed stressed and did not project the expected service of a Westin 3. Outside entrance Hotel rooms 4. House Keeping Overall, Its average I would stay somewhere else next time especially if I was paying for it…
We stayed with our teen son at the Westin Cape Coral Resort last week and had a great time. Our son can fish at the end of the marina and he loves that. Everyone we saw who works at the hotel was pleasant and friendly. The hotel has multiple suite options and we enjoy having a full kitchen to make meals/have drinks and snacks. There are 2 nearby Publix supermarkets within 5-10 minutes drive. We do also enjoy the Nauti Mermaid restaurant and the breakfast buffet at Marker 92. (with Bonvoy status, we were provided the option of points or the breakfast buffet - chose the breakfast buffet which is totally worth it, with a large selection of yogurt, fruits, eggs, meats, pastries and an omelet station) There is a pool just off the lobby, next to the Nauti Mermaid, but it fills up quick and is pretty loud. We prefer the 2 pools which are an easy 5 minute walk (or they do provide golf cart service) or bike ride (Bikes are available for guests at the hotel front entrance). The lagoon style pool is our favorite, but evidently the Westin shares this fitness center/lap pool/lagoon pool area with the condo community adjacent; while it's not a 55 and over community, there were older people happy to point out rule infractions (on small extra signs, not on regular pool rules signs) like boys throwing a nerf ball in the pool ("No throwing objects") or the family next to us was yelled at by a woman in the hot tub when they entered with their middle school age kids ("no children 12 and under with or without an adult"). We had not experienced this on our previous visits, so have to assume that the older local residents were all fired up about extra families during spring break. Even though it was spring break, the resort never felt crowded, we could always find chairs at the lap and lagoon pools and seats at the restaurants. That is why we continue to return to this resort and will come back again! We did take the boat shuttle to Ft. Myers Beach, which is a decent excursion if you are interested in a very crowded beach and t-shirt shops. Restrooms on the beach are clean and it's easy to find a lunch spot prior to returning to the boat. We prefer to drive out to Sanibel and have a little more space! We booked an excursion with Salty Native Charters, but Captain Jay had to cancel due to the weather. They offer fishing, shelling and eco tours and the marina right at the Nauti Mermaid is where they pick up and drop off; we will absolutely book another time, all of his communication was great. Based off the suggestion of a friend who lived in the area for a few years, we drove to Bonita Springs to the Everglades Wonder Gardens. It's a small, historic zoo with birds, alligators, turtles and flamingos. It was a nice little cloudy afternoon activity and would recommend it. We are so glad to have found this resort! It checks all of the boxes for us!…
The size of the 2 bedroom condo was great and we had a great view of the water and marina. There is only one small pool at the hotel. There is an overflow pool that is larger but no service within a short walking distance. The workout room is pretty basic and small for this size hotel. Access to the beach is a 45 minute boat ride and you have to have a reservation. It leaves at 10 am and returns at 2 and goes to Ft.Myers beach where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. The much advertised Westin heavenly sleep bed was not offered at this location.
