We booked a 2 bedroom condo on the second floor, which was supposed to have an ocean view. What we got instead was a view of construction equipment, a dumpster, a port-o-potty (which fell over during a storm and didn't get picked up for two days), yellow construction tape, and construction workers right outside our window every day between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. We could not use the pool during those hours because there was a cloud of concrete dust covering the entire area. We could not access the pool unless we walked completely around the building through the parking lot and past all the construction workers. There was loud drilling, Jack hammers, and damaged and missing railings on the other units. The back side of the building that faces the ocean literally looked like a haunted house. We were so, so disappointed. Not to mention the unit was not clean or ready for us to check in when we arrived. We had to check in an hour late, and there was a large wet stain on one of the couches. The unit itself had an all-around dirty, dingy feel. The cleaning ladies were very nice and tried to be helpful, but it was just about a lost cause. I truly feel this condo should have stopped renting out the vacation units until construction was finished. Please, please call ahead and ask questions before renting here.

We stayed in 406 May 1 - 3, 2021 and were very impressed with the condo. It was clean and had a beach view. The pool was awesome and the distance to the beach was very short. I highly recommend. However - I do not recommend eating at Rusty's. The waitress called someone in our party a F******* B**** and the manager sided with the waitress. HORRIBLE SERVICE and the food was just OK.

The condo was very spacious, and clean. View from the balcony was great. Condo was stocked very well with everything you would need. Kitchen, Bathrooms, towels. The owner Kevin was very helpful and accommodating to us as his guests during our stay for a week. Bathrooms were updated and the washer and dryer in the unit was very good.. we stayed in unit 805, watched the space launch from the balcony, which was very pretty.

Unit was not available at check in. Office closed. They tried to do a switch to a different complex/smaller older condo. When access to unit we rented was finally granted, it was disgustingly dirty. (Used soap and hair in shower. Used beer bottles. Cigarette butts. No deep cleaning.) We had to clean the entire unit ourselves (including washing linens.) Roaches ('normal' sized and mega-sized). Spiders. No resolution on the bugs. Pool was closed for planned maintenance. (We had called ahead of the trip to make sure all things at condo were operating because our plan was to stay there and isolate/relax.) AC went out and was not repaired. Everything was reported to mgt. Communications from mgt. and VRBO were horrible. Promises were not fulfilled. Many issues were not addressed. Worst vacation stay ever due to issues with condo and lack of full resolution from mgt. and VRBO.

Response from Canaveral Towers, Other at Canaveral Towers Condominiums
Responded Nov 17, 2020
Hi Sue, Thank you for your constructive feedback. I'm sorry to hear you ran into so many issues while staying at #310. Please note that each condo is individually owned, with management provided by different companies/owners. Upkeep will vary between condos given independent ownership. Unfortunately the specific unit you rented and the issues that arose were poorly handled, and we hope you would consider a future stay at a different unit managed by a different owner/company.

My husband and I stayed with my son and his girlfriend the week of April 20th. We found our unit on VRBO and rented it directly from the owner. We enjoyed the unit as it was totally updated. Unit 702. The building itself was nice. The beach was fine. Unfortunately, this week the town was doing beach restoration. This created some issues with the entire beach area around us for several blocks. Residents told us that they had to be done this by may 1st since this starts turtle season. It was an inconvenience not just during the day, but they work during the night. So often banging and beeping can be heard. So if you go before may 1st, check to see if this is going on. We did go on the beach each day, so we did walk over the big pipes as they had that set up so that you can still access beach. Canaveral towers is actually in Cape Canaveral, not Cocoa beach. Cocoa beach is the next town over. Decent area and nice people. Found nice restaurants as we followed top picks listed on trip advisor each night.
