Detailed Reviews
We can not say enough about Kathy and the comfort of our stay here at the Queen's Gate Resort!! Our adorable unit was equipped with everything we could need (without asking for it) and the location was outstanding in regards to instant access to the private beach, amazing restaurants and great shopping! We plan on returning again and again and highly recommend both short and long term stays! The pool, barbecue area and laundry accessibility provides even more ease! It was our first time in over 40 years of travel choosing to extend our trip and can't wait to return!

From the moment we arrived to Queens Gate Resort, we were welcomed like family from Kathy and Peter. We were shown our king studio room and the entire grounds which are landscaped beautifully. The room was equipped with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is perfect, across the street from the 🏖️ beach and close to Bridge St where there are shops and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our week long stay. The resort has a very relaxed and friendly ambience, with each accommodation having a nice porch to relax on. Beautiful pool and sitting area. We look forward to returning again.

Pros: location is perfect. It’s right across the beach. They provide chairs and umbrella. Plenty of place to eat within walking distance. Bridge street is about a half mile away. Next block over is a very nice restaurant Wicked Cantina. Stay away from the restaurant across the street on the beach. It was horrible!
Ms. Kathy at the office is very pleasant. There’s a patio on the back where you can eat. Our room is close to the pool. Our first day the pool was dirty with leaves and sand. Someone cleaned it the next day. Parking is no problem.
Cons: the beds are terrible! I don’t think I got any sleep for two days. My back hurts. My husband tossed and turned and couldn’t get comfortable.
The price is a little steep for us . We paid a total of $500 for two days. It was a queen suite with two beds and couch and full kitchen. We usually don’t stay in hotels since we live 60 miles away but we had out of town visitors so we paid this very expensive room. I’m not sure how much other places charge.
Overall: we will probably stay here again only if we have visitors from out of town who would want to enjoy the beach. Otherwise, it will always be a day trip for us to Anna Maria. Save the money.

First time to AMI in February and I am so glad we found this place! Great location, and their lovley beach is just a short walk across the street. It's walking distance to attractions on Bridge Street and a good variety of restuarants within close proximity. We stayed as couple in a queen studio which was enough room for us. We had a car and parking on the property was no problem. The room was clean and the grounds are well kept. Amber and Kathy treat you like family. This place really gives you the Old Florida resort vibe! We would come back again.

$240 per night for small queen with frig and microwave. Bathroom is small with tub and toilet. Sink is in the room. Clean and not mildew. Rooms 1-6 face the street. Higher numbers face pool and courtyard which is very nice with a covered patio, grill, heater, shuffleboard. The pool is big and warm 84. Very sunny. Had handicap access. Off street parking and right across the street is beach entrance. Low beach chairs and umbrella provided in room. Downside was smoking allowed on porch outside rooms which was annoying. The room is fine for 2 but not meant for a 3rd.

This seems to be a mom-and-pop place, which we like. There are motel rooms, duplex cottages & one house, a great heated pool, several seating areas, and it is right across from the ocean. Cathy & Amber do a great job of running this motel. Some of the rooms have been updated & there are plans to do the rest. Friendly vacationers are here; many are return visitors. Restaurants & shops are within easy walking distance.

Comfortable room with "private" beach across Gulf Drive. A two minute walk to the beach. Beach chairs/umbrella provided in room. Small fridge and microwave in room. Excellent pool. Extremely friendly office staff.

Beds just sink in and my back is hurting pretty bad. We left a day early because of it. The couches sink in too. Never could get comfortable. Door got stuck and key would not turn. There are much nicer places on Anna Maria Island and the price is high for what you get.

What a fantastic place! Many words come to mind....Charming, clean, comfortable, and friendly. We were very happy to sit on the front porch in our rockers, in the sun. And across the street was the beach. Perfect location. There is also a spacious gazebo in the back with a grill and a nice clean pool. And Kathy, Amber and Brenda made sure we were always comfortable and happy. And we sure were! We will stay longer next year.

Just returned from family vacation with my 3 brothers and husband. When I booked this property I specifically told Gordon that I required a 2 bedroom unit with living room. He advised 1st bedroom had 1 double bed and 2nd bedroom had a king bed (perfect for my over 6' brothers) and a pull out futon. When we arrived I was in tears...the first bedroom has a very small double bed..front door opens right into this bedroom..then a combination bedroom-living room and there was a small queen bed with futon..not the king that was promised. I found out that our neighbors were given the same story...2 bedroom with a king bed...they were lucky..they checked in first and were moved to the only king bedded accommodation.
So if you decided to book and you need a king bed be sure to confirm #10.
Also FYI there is only 1 bathroom and 1 closet for hanging clothes..

We’ve never had a problem as we strip and sanitize the entirely any room that had a pet. However if you are allergic - I cannot guarantee that other pets won’t be in the resort.
There are two very nice king studios. The studios are just like standard hotel rooms with mini fridge and microwave. The suites have full kitchens and are much larger.
