We had taking a day to come to the Bradenton area and Ana Maria Island to see a couple things and show our children around and go to the beach. We happened to be eating in the area and realized that this would be a wonderful area to come and visit and stay at when we are down here for a potential cheer competition for my daughter. Another mother and I walked in and just wanted to ask some questions because we thought it looked like a Fantastic location and place to stay. Another gentleman had walked in to check in and we expressed that we were not waiting on anything and for the front desk lady Kathy to go ahead and help him check in. We figured he had things to get to and we didn’t really have any plans for the day. As we were sitting there and Kathy was helping the gentleman check in she proceeded to look at us and ask us what our questions were and when I went to ask the questions she interrupted me and stopped me from completing my questions and then told us “you will just have to wait until I’m done with him “. We were definitely confused by her anger towards us because she had asked what our questions were and then told us to wait which we were fine in doing anyway. The wife of the gentleman that was checking in had looked at us not quite understanding why Kathy was being so rude to us and when they both left the wife told us good luck. Then as we were telling our questions she gave us a folder saying to call a certain person about group sales which we weren’t asking about and we just wanted to know the answer to two questions. Kathy proceeded to throw her hands in the air and almost cry saying that they were short staffed and she didn’t have time for this and that they didn’t need our business because they book the hotel up every day. We were so flabbergasted about what was happening and why we were getting treated like this. She walked away and then came back again putting her hands in the air saying how she lived on this island and there’s enough people here and they didn’t need any more people. She told us that she didn’t need our Business and we could stay elsewhere. As I was telling her to please calm down because I wasn’t understanding why she was being so upset with us she tried to take back the folder which had the general manager’s number in it after I called her out and said her name and my friend pulled the folder back saying that we will keep this because we will need this number. That’s when she told us to get out and she didn’t need us there. I can’t believe the turnaround from when we walked in potentially finding an exciting and awesome place to stay as to when we walked out and we felt so completely confused by the interaction that we just went through. We can understand that people are understaffed and I can understand that people have bad days but I have never ever been treated as bad as she treated us and that really truly changed our mind in wanting to stay there let alone to tell other cheer team members about that location. We are two intelligent mothers that were in there looking for a wonderful place to stay and in no way shape or form did our family act in anyway disrespectful or how ever a person would act that would get treated like Kathy treated us. She told us there were cameras watching and could see everything which I told her I was glad for and hipped her people would see how she just treated us and she didn’t not like that. I am a healthcare frontline worker who deals with all kinds of people in all kinds of states in the hospital and I’ve never been so blatantly rudely treated. And I’m only writing this review because I’ve tried to call and I’ve left two messages. I feel like a resort that wants to be known and have the good name out there and have people try them but then also come back needs to know how they are being represented at the very first person that people see when they walk through that door.

We could not have been more pleased with our trip. The location was perfect as we walked to every thing from restaurants to bars to the beach across the street. Fishing from multiple piers were also within walking distance. The staff from top to bottom was first class. Our townhome was large as we never felt crowded like you would if you are a family of four staying in a hotel with one room. The best recommendation we can give is we will be back time and time again!!
