The resort has recovered nicely from Hurricane Ian…my husband & I were not impacted by any deficiencies in our accommodations or services. Regarding services and staff they are extraordinary! I cannot say enough about Tiana & Rey at the front desk…they are the best! They are extremely helpful, courteous & professional. Shout out to Danny, super efficient waitstaff at The Veranda. All of the above mentioned plus many more made our stay a 10+! Thanks so much! Happy Holidays to all!

Perfect vacation! My only complaint is that camp manatee is closed. The staff are so wonderful. Robert and team at the front desk are fantastically accommodating. The restaurants carry beyond burgers. The service was phenomenal Plus. we got DoorDash delivered for groceries and meals. The property is so clean and safe. The best lazy River ever! This is the best place for a family vacation. Parents can relax with age appropriate / safe pools and activities. It’s like Disney vacation without all of the lines, costs, characters, and rides. The rooms could use some updates (like chrome cast and/or streaming TVs) . Rest of any updates that I would recommend are basically cosmetic and I would worry that the upgrades would be unnecessary, gratuduous & harmful to the environment . The balcony and views are spectacular. It’s like glamping with all the luxury This property is a great value. Excellent management. Great team of staff. My teenager loved the game room. The grounds are so exquisite. Excellent job with maintenance and gardening!

We are set to arrive here on Thursday. After that, I will give a review of the actual resort. So far, they LIED to us. We were offered a stay (at a price) if we agreed to attend a timeshare presentation. This was purchased months ago. When we booked, we were told we’d have access to the amenities at the Hyatt Regency. That’s all my son wants to do is use the waterslides that we had shown him pictures of in preparation for the trip. Recently, we received emails that we can no longer use those amenities. Also, the beach is closed. Obviously I understand that they had a hurricane so the beach may be destroyed. However, to deny the use of existing facilities at the regency is ridiculous. We called and they refuse to give us day passes or cancel and refund our money. We are extremely disappointed. We will not even consider anything they have to say at the sales presentation at this point. It will just be a waste of everyone’s time. This is BAD business.

We apologize for your disappointment. Please know that our guest access to the Hyatt Regency hotel pool is dependent on the hotel allowing us the access. Unfortunately they are no longer allowing our guests to utilize the pools. We truly are sorry that this has impacted your stay and appreciate your review.

The resort is very nice and they've done a good job cleaning up after Hurricane Ian. Several things remain closed: the resort beach, Big Hickory Island, Camp Manatee kids club, and Coconut’s Bar. Unfortunately, we weren't notified of these closures until the week before our trip but we enjoyed the pool and lazy river. We stayed 4 nights and had two units, a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the patio is large with ceiling fans and screens, and the kitchens had everything we needed to make meals. A few issues... 1. The coffee pot wouldn't turn on; we had to make several calls and ended up taking it to the front desk to talk to someone in person before we got a replacement. 2. The microwave stopped working but maintenance showed up within 30 minutes to fix the tripped breaker which is located behind a framed piece of art near the front door. 3. One of the bathroom sinks was so clogged that it wouldn't drain at all. I removed the drain plug and it was full of black gunk and hair. We called maintenance again and they arrived within 30 minutes to clean it. 4. Another bathroom had a similar issue but we just let it go since it wasn't as bad. I did notify the front desk when I checked out and recommended that they talk to housekeeping about communicating with maintenance when they notice an issue so the guests aren't left with the responsibility. She just looked at me...no apology. Overall, the front desk staff isn't friendly at all. They don't seem to like their jobs or people. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning but several times I walked by her and said "hello" or "good morning" and she didn't even smile back. The concierge was nice and one other young guy smiled a lot and showed enthusiasm being around guests. We encountered him a few times at the pool. My recommendation to management is to train your staff in customer service, teach them how to carry on a basic conversation with guests, and tell them to smile often (or at all). We've never experienced such poor service at a Hyatt Residence Club/Hyatt Vacation Club and we've been owners for over 17 years. We checked into a Hyatt Place in Tampa the day we checked out and we were treated far better there than at Hyatt Vacation Club Coconut Cove.

We spent 3 nights here. The 2 bedroom was nice and clean. Partially stocked with kitchenware. Missing a few basics like frying pan and working toaster. The lazy river was nice as was the pool. Everything closes at 7 except for the adult pool. The reason for this one star review are the bugs. It’s been 5 days wincing leaving and I am burning up and itching like I walked through a swamp. I have never experienced anything like this. New bumps show up. I have read other reviews and I think these bugs are mostly by the pool. Chiggers or Noseeums? Whatever they are, THE HOTEL KNOWS ABOUT THEM AND DIDN'T WARN US!!!! They could have simply told us and we could have been prepared with insect repellent or avoided the area. This hotel was one of my biggest mistakes ever! SHAME ON THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT!

Just returned from a weeks stay. We had a great time. Found the staff to be nice, helpful, and pleasant. The food we had there was good. We don’t own a timeshare here, but do in Cabo. We did not experience high pressure sales to do a presentation which we were very thankful. Grounds and pools very clean, as well as the room. We were able to check in a couple hours early which was nice, and also asked for late check out. Would stay again.

I am 19 years old and I spent 3 days in this hotel with my family. I would like to share my very unpleasant experience. First of all the decoration of the residence is very beautiful and the swimming pool pleasant, I have nothing to say about that. however, the hotel employees were somewhat unpleasant and very unsmiling, each information that we had to ask them put us in a situation in which the customer felt unpleasantly uncomfortable. False advertising, such as the happy hour in which we were refused drinks on the pretext that the bar had to close when we saw a few seconds earlier another man being served without worries. In short, some unfriendly employees and a service with little information on the hotel's activities possibilities. Without of course mentioning that the restaurant closes at 7 p.m. as does the bar, which itself closes even earlier. Very disappointed.

We had a great and very relaxing stay. We are timeshare owners and go at least once a year - we love the peace and quiet and the beautiful pool and grounds. The staff there is always friendly and helpful and the food at the onsite bar/grill is limited but pretty good. We were glad the main pool area was back open after the hurricane damage and missed the private beach but know that will take a lot of time to restore. The lazy river was not back up yet but was close. We had a few issues in the room which were resolved quickly. As timeshare owners, I can say we have control when we do our booking over whether or not we get a 2br lockoff unit vs a true 2 br.

We are owners at this resort, but for the last 2 years our reservation experience has been horrible! Even though we book a two bedroom unit, they have put us in two separate units, a 1 bedroom and a studio. This year was the second year in a row this has happened. We have our young grandchildren with us and this type of room situation does not work for us. The girl checking us in offered no solution, so I requested to speak to the manager. I spoke to Lisa - who has no business being in management. She said that they consider a 1 bedroom/studio lock off to be the same as a 2 bedroom unit, and if that’s what I needed I should have made a “special request” for a “standard 2 bedroom unit” otherwise they may put my family in two separate units (1 bed/studio). There is no place on the reservations website that states this, only her word. When we purchased, we bought a 2 bedroom unit. For the second year, they pulled the bait & switch using their company standby policy “we can’t guarantee” excuse. While I was having my discussion with Lisa the “manager” another guest checking in beside me came over to tell me they had done the same thing to him! Lisa also informed me that even being a Portfolio Premier owner does not give you any type of preferred customer service. Lisa stated, “All owners are the same”. Which was shocking to hear because when you go to a sales presentation they are all about up selling your ownership. Finally we were offered to stay one night with our grandchildren in the lock off units and then move to the two bedroom unit we requested the next day. Other girl at the desk shouted out a nasty toned “Have a nice day” to me when I was exiting the lobby. The first night we had to prop the doors open between the 1 bedroom & studio and put a chair up under the door that led to the outside hallway because the deadbolt didn’t work. The next day the maids were at our door at 9:50am to clean our rooms, but our new unit was not ready yet. The front desk disabled our room keys to the lock off we were in, so we couldn’t even leave and get back into the current units. Called the front desk at 10:00, and were told the new unit would be ready in 45 minutes. Manager Lisa should have made sure the unit we were moving to was first on list to be cleaned, but it wasn’t ready till 4:00! We know this was done out of spite. Basically the first two days of our vacation were wasted and consisted of frustration. We regret ever purchasing at this property. The amenities have decreased over the years, and the staff has been rude. One year they told us our 3 year old grandchild could not eat Goldfish at the pool area because they didn’t allow you to bring your own food there! At our sales presentation the final girl who tries to sell a discounted trip took notes on the problems we had with the resort staff and asked if we ever spoke to manager Ray, which we did not. She said she would forward our info to him - but of course we never got a follow up from him. All in all BAD experience.

I am completely and utterly disgusted by how an emergency cancelation was handled by Hyatt Residence Club Bonita Springs, Coconut Plantation. A member of our party came down with COVID the weekend prior to our stay. I tried diligently to contact the resort. The front desk would simply transfer to a promotional line where I could 'leave a voicemail,' I tried this for three days with no call back. Or they would say they were getting help and put me back into the queue. I tried emailing the Sales Reception Specialist who confirmed the reservation, he did not seem to care that we were having a challenging time changing our reservation, he forwarded me to a number 1-800-417-2107 - I have tried calling this number several times per day since Monday and waited over 20 minutes each time. No one is monitoring or answering this line. At one point, I prompt said to leave a voicemail, which I did two days ago - no call back. It is easy to book a promotional vacation here, you are lured in with the idea of an affordable vacation but it is apparent that this sector of Hyatt does not care about their customers. They are unresponsive and unapologetic about it. I don't think I will ever stay at another Hyatt resort after this experience.
