The Hyatt Vacation Club At Coconut Cove garners praise for its breathtaking pools and lazy river, which are consistently celebrated for their cleanliness. However, some guests have expressed frustration with hidden fees and the perceived lack of value. Service quality at the resort appears to hit both ends of the spectrum, ranging from commendable assistance to sluggish communication.
Room conditions are a mixed bag, with reports of both outdated spaces and commendable renovations. The location is favored for its suitability for remote work, yet some find it lacking in children's activities and essential amenities.

Detailed Reviews
Hyatt coconut cove aka coconut plantation is a wonderful timeshare ! I notice many people review this and are disappointed because it’s not a hotel ! That’s a mile away walk which we used to be able to share pools with many years ago! No problem / pools here are immaculate , complete with lazy river and excellent kiddie pool and playground . The property is run like a well oiled machine by Rey , despite the many changes since Marriott acquisition , Covid , hurricanes etc ! It is beautiful , for the most part the staff is wonderful - we find the front desk charming ! Especially Sam , Marissa and Wyatt - and the others as well I can’t recall all of the names ! They have been most helpful especially when it comes to that computer / printer - ahem - which is troublesome ! Otherwise , shout out to that reception desk , it’s the first thing you notice when you step in the door ! You really don’t get a second chance to make a first impression ! Ok - buildings 1 and 2 are a little outdated but they were overall clean and stocked well ! If you need something call front desk - they bring it - no problem ever . I can say housekeeping has a hard job and is limited bc it’s nog a hotel ! It’s a timeshare - so pick up after yourself or go stay at hotel !!! This includes the pool - put your towels down and just return them when you’re done ! You’re guaranteed fresh towels every day at pool!! Hot tubs clean and working well ! Steam and sauna excellent and veranda bad service good as well ! We’ve been coming for close to 23 years , people change and do do places , but this is a mainstay for us - first time in all the years they had to prepare for hurricane Helene - the property was secured well by staff and we felt safe and lucky we did not have to evacuate ! Business as usual the next day - staff overturned property well as if nothing happened !
Overall - coconut cove is definitely going under some major changes within area with golf and the Ritz but change is good - you still can enjoy dining at hotel if you like a few nice restaurants , but go out and explore Bonita springs and Naples !!! Go to flippers on the bay in lovers key !!! Thanks to Rey and staff - it’s perfect !!!
Looking forward to returning

This resort is perfect for families with children of all ages. The staff at check-in is very helpful and attentive. They respond quickly and efficiently to any issues that may arise with your unit. Rey, the manager, is always available and does a terrific job accommodating any requests we’ve ever made. In housekeeping, a gentleman named Jean Claude goes out of his way to be helpful and always does sa with a smile!!!

We had a great and very relaxing stay. We are timeshare owners and go at least once a year - we love the peace and quiet and the beautiful pool and grounds. The staff there is always friendly and helpful and the food at the onsite bar/grill is limited but pretty good. We were glad the main pool area was back open after the hurricane damage and missed the private beach but know that will take a lot of time to restore. The lazy river was not back up yet but was close. We had a few issues in the room which were resolved quickly.
As timeshare owners, I can say we have control when we do our booking over whether or not we get a 2br lockoff unit vs a true 2 br.

Wr have been Hyatt owners for 20 years. The property is absolutely stunning as well as the lazy river and pools. Although our air conditioner broke twice the second time they came up, it was fixed properly. The trip to the private beach was mediocre at best, we went once and will not go back. We ordered 2 drinks and after 50 minutes we decided to leave but was charged anyway. We are still here, but I did go to the front desk and they said it would be taken off, we will see upon check out. The gaming room is five dollars an hour per child. I was offered a fan I had to ask for it three times and I still never got it on the fourth time, I finally got some kind of air purifier thing that made our room smell very weird and offered no relief as far as air circulation, all I wanted was a fan for my room because it was still warm in there. In the master bathroom, the repair of the tile, it looks very, very unprofessionally done, it's actually kind of embarrassing, especially for the type of property that this place is. Went to get a pillow out of the spare bedroom closet and there was hair all over it. Went to exchange pool towels we were told that it would be twenty minutes and that if we needed them immediately, we could go and get our own from the front desk. The bottles in the shower were either missing product or we had multiple of the same and none of one, like one shampoo and two conditioners, no body wash. The ceiling fans in the rooms and patios go so slow and are of no use. We always say at the Wild Oak Rqmch in San Antonio, that is our home property, and is definitely much more well run than this property. I was told that there are water slides here, there are none. As we sit outside on our patio it smells like raw sewer. We were definitely disappointed in this property and we were so excited to come here, but there are definitely some things that need major improvement.
But again, the pool, the lazy river, can't get any better than this place, it is absolutely breathtaking here. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous.

Me and my husband were traveling with my 89 year old Mom and thought this would be a good option for us. The worst part of this property is the management team give zero hoots about issues. We had no air 2 of the 3 nights we were there and it was miserable. The first time we called about the ac, they sent maintenance up to fix it. We left hoping when we returned, the 2 bedroom villa would be co pl l. Wrong. We called immediately and they said they would send someone up. We waited and waited and no one showed. After another hot night, we called again and let the receptionist know no one ret. She said she would take care of it. Again, no one showed. As we were leaving or room, the housekeeping staff hovered right in front of our door and didn't move when I was pushing my Mom out in a wheelchair. I brought the issue up again at checkout and while I was there, housekeeping called to complain about the room temperature. I asked that a manager call me. Nothing. I filled out the post stay survey with this same information...no response. I wrote to their customer relations email...no response. My Mom is 89 and it's not acceptable she had to sleep like this. I would never buy one of this location's timeshare because of their crappy customer service. It's sad, the room was beautiful. It was just not okay the ac didn't work. Stay away!

The resort is very nice and they've done a good job cleaning up after Hurricane Ian. Several things remain closed: the resort beach, Big Hickory Island, Camp Manatee kids club, and Coconut’s Bar. Unfortunately, we weren't notified of these closures until the week before our trip but we enjoyed the pool and lazy river.
We stayed 4 nights and had two units, a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the patio is large with ceiling fans and screens, and the kitchens had everything we needed to make meals.
A few issues...
1. The coffee pot wouldn't turn on; we had to make several calls and ended up taking it to the front desk to talk to someone in person before we got a replacement.
2. The microwave stopped working but maintenance showed up within 30 minutes to fix the tripped breaker which is located behind a framed piece of art near the front door.
3. One of the bathroom sinks was so clogged that it wouldn't drain at all. I removed the drain plug and it was full of black gunk and hair. We called maintenance again and they arrived within 30 minutes to clean it.
4. Another bathroom had a similar issue but we just let it go since it wasn't as bad. I did notify the front desk when I checked out and recommended that they talk to housekeeping about communicating with maintenance when they notice an issue so the guests aren't left with the responsibility. She just looked at me...no apology.
Overall, the front desk staff isn't friendly at all. They don't seem to like their jobs or people. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning but several times I walked by her and said "hello" or "good morning" and she didn't even smile back. The concierge was nice and one other young guy smiled a lot and showed enthusiasm being around guests. We encountered him a few times at the pool.
My recommendation to management is to train your staff in customer service, teach them how to carry on a basic conversation with guests, and tell them to smile often (or at all). We've never experienced such poor service at a Hyatt Residence Club/Hyatt Vacation Club and we've been owners for over 17 years. We checked into a Hyatt Place in Tampa the day we checked out and we were treated far better there than at Hyatt Vacation Club Coconut Cove.

We just checked into the Hyatt Vacation club.
I originally walked into the Hyatt Pointe Bonita Springs thinking that was the hotel.. it was beautiful. So naturally coming inside and finding out I was at the wrong location was disappointing. Vacation club is a much more quiet laid back vibe.
It’s a Monday, the resort is QUIET. We arrived at 11am, and our rooms were not ready until after 3:30. We have been up since 3am and our kids were expiring quickly and in much need of rest.
They told us our building was 3, however, there is no “3” indicated anywhere. Please train your staff to say “Crescent 53” or “Palm 53” building etc. we drove back and forth many times trying to figure it out.
I’ve seen multiple reviews and photos online when guests had mentioned water slides, and I thought we would have access to that as a sister property and no you don’t. You can pay for a day pass at $50 per person. $200 for the day as a family of 4? Yikes.
This location lacks activities for kids.
The pools and lazy river are beautiful but aside from that it’s lacking any liveliness.
Kids club still closed since Covid 😒
Market place? Not open past noon.
Pool bars? Only one open.
Kids game room , $5 per hour? Really?
If I had known I’d be nickled and dimed, I would have booked Hyatt Pointe next door.
My kids are disappointed and so am I.
I wish I could change my hotel right now.

We had a reservation as part of an offer they had going on. It happened that major storm "Debby" hit the gulf coast and FL on the day we were supposed to check in and the state declared a state of emergency in many of the counties in the south west and western part of the state. I called to reschedule, they refused to let me reschedule without charging me a fee. The other option they gave me was to forfeit my reservation. I lost 350$. As someone who travels 100 days a year at least, I learned to never book anything with Hyatt ever again.

Have stayed here before and love the pool and lazy river facilities. Our one bedroom room was in Bldg 4 and Outstanding. This isn't a standard hotel, as such you don't get any loyalty recognition or benefits. Checkout is earlier than normal at 10am. No onsite food options to speak once the pool locations close. But they are good while at the pool. The room was fully equipped and in great shape. AC worked great. It was a great location for us to work remotely.
This location is a much different vibe from the Hyatt Regency just up the road and while we like both, this is our preferred for relaxing. You do get a discount at the Hyatt Regency restaurants if you go up there. Better food overall there. Both locations have great service.
We have enjoyed the beach trip in the past, didn't make it this time though. For the limited availability we had they did not have any open spots to reserve on the boat. Reserve early if you can. Note there are some limited snack options at the beach but nothing of substance. Pack your food and drink over.
The pools and lazy river are Outstanding and well maintained. One word of caution, at night (in Florida not just here) mosquitoes and no seeums can be overwhelming. Bring real bug spray.
Overall very happy. Had been concerned about some of the recent reviews but we didn't encounter any issues. Again as a "Vacation club" timeshare location they don't offer the same amenities, services or loyalty recognition as other Hyatt brands. That can be disappointing and they are less flexible. Including on cancellation policy. But with planning we will have no qualms about returning here.

We own at Key West Beach Club. But Bonita Springs is so much closer and our grandsons love the lazy river so we book there about once a year. This is the first time back since the pandemic began. We had booked two, TWO BEDROOM units. We have never had a problem booking these in the past. We got two lock off’s. Meaning a one bedroom unit and outside the door was another lockable unit Basically two separate hotel units with a little common entryway. We have young grandsons but apparently there were no other rooms available to switch. We used the door stops to keep the inner doors open so we could hear the kids if needed. Several times during our stay housekeeping would just walk in through the outer door. Yes we complained, but basically got “Sorry , we’ll talk to housekeeping”, only to have it happen again the next night. The most disturbing time it happened was at 10:30 PM. The children were asleep in bed., my daughter and son in law about to go to bed, and this man just walks in! No knocks, no nothing, just walked in!! He quickly turned around said he was from housekeeping and left. We think he was just looking for a place to sleep. When a family requests a two bedroom unit, they need a two bedroom unit! A lock off is not a two bedroom unit and does not provide adequate security, especially when there are young children. Will we be back, of course, but we will be purchasing and using a travel door look so if we get a lock off again, this won’t happen. The first photo that I posted is of the outer door there is no lock at all on it so if you’re inside the room you cannot secure it and housekeeping can just walk in

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry that your experience was not positive with the two bedroom lock-off. In the future, please feel free to contact me directly at the resort after booking, so that we can see if a Two bedroom Villa units is available ahead of your arrival. In addition, the outer lock-off door can have a deadbolt function added to it. I am sorry of this service was not offered, and I will definitely work with our Housekeeping team to make sure we are knocking when delivering items to the rooms. I do sincerely hope you will return to Coconut Plantation.

Yes, there is a Publix Grocery Store 5 to 10 minutes from the Hyatt Residence Club and there is also an outdoor mall called Coconut Point that has shops and restaurants available.
Hello, the Hyatt Regency is exactly a mile from the Hyatt Residence Club. There is no transportation available to and from.
Currently the Beach, Restaurant and Spa outlets are available for guest use across the properties year round. Our guests have limited access via a wristband system during some parts of the year, and some blackout dates apply. Please feel free to call the Resort for more information.
Hi!
There is no parking fee at the Residence Club.
The water slides are not at the Residence Club, they are at the hotel next door. Last time we went to the hotel while staying @ Residence Club there were no fees. I know that as of last October, they were allowing a smaller amount of guests to go over on guest passes. Also, it depends on when you’re going because sometimes they don’t allow guests passes at all (holidays, especially) so I would confirm availability with the concierge @ Residence Club before your stay.
No, parking is free to guests.
