What a week we had the first week in Nov. ! My family of 5 (kids ages 16, 14, 10) really enjoyed our stay. We used the pool, lazy river and ate at the bar at Coconut Plantation. It was very quiet at the resort so getting a pool chair was easy. You can get as many clean towels as you wish while at the pool. We did go to the "sister" resort (Coconut Point) and used their lazy river AND pool plus the water slides. Using the "sister" resort is free but parking is $15. If you eat at Coconut Point, you can ask for the parking fee to be taken away. You have to take a car to Coconut Point as it's kind of far to walk--safe to walk as there are sidewalks but we drove. We did go to BIG HICKORY ISLAND and grabbed the van from Coconut Plantation to the port. That was easy as the driver was nice and it was a super quick ride. We only did the island once during our week. There were drinks and bags of chips to purchase on the island but you can also bring your own cooler with food. Bring your towels from the resort to the island. There are bathrooms on the island. The unit at Coconut Plantation (2 bedroom) was very big and had all the cooking supplies you needed plus a washer and dryer in the unit. A few small boxes of detergent were supplied. The unit was clean too. WE REALLY HAD A NICE STAY. EVERYONE AT THE RESORT WAS NICE. We will go back in the future!

Great Property, GREAT staff!!! Our stay was great, we had a fun time exploring the area around the Hyatt. There were small issues that should have/could have been fixed before we were assigned the room. Hole in the screen on the porch, a light bulb out in the kitchen ceiling and missing salt/pepper. Nothing huge, but small details that can make a difference. Yes, we informed the Front Desk to let them know. No we were not upset, but mainly to let them know for the next occupant. The property is stunning and very relaxing. It is near enough to shopping and touristy stuff, but not within walking distance. We would take day trips to Captiva & Sanibel, FT Meyers and the botanical gardens in Naples.

We are Hyatt residence club owners in Puerto Rico, however have swapped into this location over the past 16 years or so....always a lovely time, and we were thrilled to return after life came to a stand still in 2020 and kept us all home! Everything was very similar, just a few changes after the covid closures. We traveled without our kids for the first time, they are all grown and going in different directions, so I can't really speak to the changes in the kid-friendly things. The resort was clean and well maintained, and the rooms in our building (52) have been redone since our last visit....very pretty! I only have a couple silly negative comments....the river pool used to play new-age groovy tunes, the kind you hear when you go for a massage, super soothing and non-descript....this year the river was divided into two musical sections....one end played Reggae and island type covers of familiar songs...while the other end played ONE SONG...."Do you Remember?" by Phil Collins....over and over....and over....for the entirety of our stay. At first it was weird. Then it was funny....then.....MADDENING. Honestly my husband and I were scratching our heads....how could they play the same song on continuous loop day after day?? So odd. Anyway....another thing I think the resort could improve upon would be the breakfast service....obviously understaffed, I don't know if we hit it on a bad day or if it's always like that, but the poor woman at the register was running around like a lunatic, I felt so bad for her....taking orders, running the register, manning the phone, running back and forth to the kitchen and out to the tables outside. None of the tables inside were bussed.....we were only buying juice from the case (were gonna get coffee but the carafe was empty and she ran off to make more, omg).....we were in there for probably 20 minutes to buy little bottle of juice. I think if the Hyatt can't staff the 3 hours the place is open, they should either shut it for now or move into muffins and coffee....simplify....it's just too much on this poor employee and the service suffers....not Hyatt standards. The wristband for the beach and regency were no big deal....at least you knew you had a seat at the beach when you arrived....I miss the jitney and WOW is paying for parking really necessary for Plantation guests?? COME ON!! We ate lunch at the regency pool so we had our parking validated but honestly you took away an ammenity (the jitney) and then turned around to charge us $3 an hour? Seems silly to me, and unnecessary. Overall a wonderful trip, though, as always!

No outside food or drink allowed at the pool, and yet NO SERVICE provided poolside. Really? This is s Residence Club units with kitchenettes! We asked to rent a cabana. No hostess and no waiter for food/drinks! We were told all 3 cabanas were rented. Went on a waitlist to be called. All 3 were never occupied and we never received a call. The place is lovely. But please understand that unfortunately except for a few sharp yet unavailable people the service here is pretty much null! We asked for a 1 hour late check out. The front desk asked housekeeping! Lol Are we surprised they said no!!?? We booked with points but we are Hyatt Elite Members and we did not receive anything remotely close to elite treatment. So keep your expectations super low and you won’t be disappointed! Being nice doesn’t translate into performance! Sad.

Hats off to the whole gang at Hyatt Residence Club Bonita Springs! I'm a frequent traveler who owns a home in central Florida and visits the Gulf Coast regularly. I was wowed by the awesome attitude of every worker I encountered at this exceptionally well laid out resort property with freebies galore! There's a waterpark, a ferry trip to a private island, free parking, 15% discount for on-property F & B, no charge for intertubes to float the Lazy River, continuous replacement of pool/beach towels - and on and on. The grounds are lovely, the rooms spacious and well-outfitted, maybe a little dated still in good condition. But without a doubt, the standout at this property is the people. Thank you all!! Your kindness and good spirits did not go unnoticed. Stay healthy and strong!
