Disclaimer - we own here, we stay here twice a year We stayed here soon after Hurricane Ian, in fact I and one other family were the first 2 groups to return to the resort after it opened after the Hurricane. It took them 2 weeks, but having seen the place a week after the hurricane, I was amazed they managed to achieve as much as they did and open as soon as they did. They had limited facilities open, just 1 pool and 1 bar, but with so few staying there, it was not an issue. As ever, the staff are what made the difference. They had obviously been busy, working hard and yet still managed to be enthusiastic and welcoming. We cannot wait to get there again and as our holiday at the resort was shorter than originally planned, we may go back for a week, just because we can. One of the most disturbing things of the entire holiday, even worse than being sat in a hotel room, whilst the Hurricane blew through, was seeing the Resort staff pouring away bottle after bottle of Rum, Whiskey, Vodka, Tequila, etc. It had to be done as they had all been under6ft of sea water. I offered to test them all, but the offer was politely declined. Never want to see that again :) Rai - Keep at it, the staff are a reflection of their leadership…
Owner's Lounge.. hang out if you arrive before check in, relax and take a break from the Sun, turn on the TV to watch your favorite show, do some reading, It's there for your enjoyment, and oh how I have enjoyed myself there! You got to make sure you check it out on your next trip!
We’ve stayed here before and we’re looking forward to our return. It did not disappoint. What we liked: - beautiful grounds (landscaping is perfection) - Lazy River and pools are well kept and relaxing - Tons of room to spread out on the grounds. - Room well equipped (stayed in 2BR) - Ample covered parking - A/C working well - Easy to get reservation to sister property to use the amenities (but you will quickly learn you’re already at the better property) - Comfortable beds What we didn’t like: - ceiling fan in bedrooms clicked repetitively - Had to ask for extra toilet paper multiple times because it never arrived This is one of our favorite places ever. It’s a little slice of Heaven. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.
Full disclosure - we are HRC owners at a mountain resort location. This was our first visit to HRC in Bonita Springs. We stayed in a studio unit. I was really impressed by this resort property. All the amenities were top notch even with the Covid protocols still in place. The studio unit itself was spacious and well appointed, super quiet and private. We had plenty of room for our family of three and could make a good breakfast in the kitchenette. We all loved the pool and lazy river. One day we took advantage of the boat ride and private beach island opportunity - the boat ride was excellent. There isn't much shade on the island, and the maintenance team pulled the beach umbrellas early that afternoon at 1 o'clock making it a challenge for me to continue to enjoy the location since I can't sit in the sun too long even with a high SPF. PRO TIP: If you go to the island, plan to take an early ferry to get chairs closer to the main path - the later in the day, the farther down the beach you have to go for available seating. The next day, we drove to Bonita Beach instead and used our own chairs and umbrellas - it was far more relaxing. The staff was friendly but not obtrusive at the HRC Bonita Springs - attentive and accommodating. We definitely will be back. Oh, and the area is excellent - tons of great restaurant options, evening activities for the whole family and shopping.…
Every member of the Hyatt Team was outstanding — attention to detail, pleasant, timely, and went the extra mile at times. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. We will return again and will recommend to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Wow what a great place they treated us like royalty from the minute we walked through the doors. Rooms we spotless and fantastic. The pool service was outstanding, can’t wait to go back. If you’re in the area don’t miss this stop. Convenient to shopping restaurants and the Marriott hotel next door.
We stayed in June 2022 for the first time. Overall a good stay. The front desk was great except it was a little bit of an annoyance that you need to sit through a quick talk about the timeshare in order to receive a 15% off discount then you feel a little cheap having to flash your card everywhere for the discount. Plus our family was sitting in the car during the whole process. Check in should be as efficient as possible and adding this variable slowed it down. Rooms were nice and about what we expected, I would say 4 star type experience. We had a 2 bedroom and there was plenty of space. I would say food was average and food service about average as well. Pools were well heated and good for the kids. We went to the Regency for one day and that was good variety, generally much quieter and less hectic at this hotel compared to the Regency which we liked and the lazy River was much better. One downside (potentially significant) was that we didn’t have internet available in our room the entire week. The hotel never mentioned this and after trying for 30 minutes to connect I finally called and they informed us. No solution just that no internet available. This day and age that is a pretty big problem as I had to work some and needed to handle all of that through my cell phone hotspot - ultimately it worked to connect that way but really not something we would expect.…
We have stayed at this property at least 5 times over the last decade so can give a fair assessment of how the property has aged. If you have visited in the past you will be disappointed with what is currently being offered. Supposedly Marriot bought the property so this might be driving some of the cost-cutting we witnessed. The property feels like a ship without a captain or a very inexperienced general manager. We stayed in June of 2022. Overview -No hospitality. Everything has become an inconvenience. You feel like your at school with all the rules. -Towel cards (no one wants to steal your ugly green towels) -No housekeeping (this wasn't advertised anywhere on the website when booking) -Seems like a lottery to get access to the hotel pools. So many rules on how many reservations, when you have to pick up your bracelets, etc.. You have purposely made it inconvenient it feels like. Might want to ask someone with a level of education as operating those pools at both properties are all fixed costs. There are very few variable costs if you have a few more guests. These variable costs are easily made up by buying your overpriced food and drinks. Makes no sense. Kids like waterslides so that was always the value of this property. You essentially could enjoy both properties (Hotel/Plantation) and have a good variety of entertainment for the kids. -No trolley between the two properties even though you have an employee that takes people to the beach all day. You are already paying an employee. Why not make it convenient for your guests? He has to drive by the hotel to get to the beach. Scratch your head and think about that for a minute. The hotel valet was left trying to care for your guests. -Lazy river at the Plantation resort is broken. The main waterfall when you enter is broken (wasn't running the entire week we were there). The other jets that move water were either off or running at50%. You shouldn't hand out tubes but should be handing out paddle boards as people have to paddle to get anywhere. I talked to Ashley at the front desk and she was going to have the pool manager Shawn call me but it never happened. Our family always loved this resort, but probably won't be back. Let the bean counters know you can't cut yourself to success and hospitality.…
Pools and common outdoor areas are fantastic and not overcrowded. Truly amazing property. The residences are privately owned so a mixed bag of what you will get for your unit. The one annoying thing we encountered was the check in process - their check in time is late to begin with (4pm) and the room still wasn’t ready until 4:30. Then , elevators are very slow and there is no service elevator, so when we got to the building the staff were constantly using the elevators to move service carts and bins etc to the point it was easier to just use the stairs.
So peaceful and relaxing. We love the spacious 2 bedroom condo with the screen enclosed patio. Our unit overlooked a pond. We saw lots of birds and an alligator. The pool area is wonderful with lots of seating in the sun and shade. The lazy River is wonderful. We did not have access to the Hyatt Regency pools as the area was blocked out for all the spring break travelers. On our last visit we spent time there and enjoyed the water slides. The beach is accessible only by boat and we did not think it was worth the hassle.
