Well kept. Small but nice public areas for relaxing. Pool is warm and newly refinished and clean. Bed and bedding and towels were great. Everything was spotless. Shower was strong by hotel standards. Only thing missing was a coffee maker. Will definitely be back whenever visiting Bonita-Ft Myers-Estero. Lots of nice restaurants within 2 miles. We love Leonis' Pizza and Sweet Melissa's for dessert.

We travel often usually staying on the beach & pricey hotels but this one just really caught my eye when searching & reviewing places to stay & I was very pleased with everything & the way we could get things we needed for our room from the laundry room. Our room had everything we needed & very clean, beds were comfy the bathroom clean, beach right across the street & I also liked it as it was more out of all the rush area. The motel offers charter fishing if thats also your thing,so I gave this little motel 5 stars.

This was my compromise choice- I got great beach access, he got fishing. The hotel is a very much "Old Florida" but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. He could fish right off the dock at night. If we were staying longer we would have rented a pontoon for the day. The room was very clean- but dated furnishings (he loved the well used barco- lounger). The bathroom supplied with quality products. They supplied beach chairs, floats, etc. great family choice. It was a shame to see all the older beach houses replaced with 4 storied mega mansions.

I'll firstly say we have very high clean standards, to give this hotel a higher rating I definitely think some fresh carpets or even better a nice wooden floor would be great so it could be cleaned would top it off. I didn't feel comfortable being bare foot in the room or in the shower. The room is well stocked and has all you need. You have to clean it yourself / get fresh towels and bed sheets from the laundry room. But it was comfortable and spacious. It's very rustic.. the strong fishy smell from the boats was a little overwhelming at times.

I highly recommend this motel. Clean, right across the beach. You can fish from the docks in the back of the motel or rent a boat. Staff was friendly and informative. Available for guests you'll find beach chairs, umbrellas and toys. In the kitchen there is everything you need to make a quick meal or breakfast. The room and bathroom were clean. They provide toiletries. Each room has a heater, iron and ironing table. Planning to go back next year. This time the red tide affected the beach.

I agree with a previous reviewer, I hesitate to give all the positives about the Bonita Beach Resort Motel, for fear that I will never be able to book it again! For those of you looking for a casual and relaxing location...the Bonita Beach Resort Motel fits the bill! The owners and operators are super friendly and seem to be very easy going. We booked Unit 1, the largest unit, but well worth the couple extra $'s. It has a porch which overlooks the Hogue Channel, a very peaceful portion of the Intracoastal Waterway, with mangroves as your view! Slow moving boats, dolphins, herons, and jumping fish inhabit the water here. The unit itself is huge, with a very large living room, full size bathroom, large bedroom, and super large eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with every imaginable thing you could need. (except garbage bags, which was weird, oh well). The beach access is literally right across the street and the beach itself is very peaceful and gorgeous! As South Floridians, we live 20 minutes from the beach, but never seem to make it there due to "life", so we look for beach getaways at beautiful beaches so that we may immerse ourselves in the beach! The local beaches here are always voted some of the most beautiful and this one did not disappoint! We felt safe enough to leave our chairs and umbrellas there and head back for a quick lunch in the unit. They operate Bonita Boat Rentals out of this location, so if you are interested in renting a pontoon boat, it is at your doorstep. My husband is a fisherman and was very excited to fish off of the dock and in the Gulf, across the street! The unit itself has two window air conditioners, which kept the place plenty cool, and is stocked with 4 beach chairs, a fishing rod, and a portable heater for cooler weather. I feel like this place must be pretty busy in the winter months! It does truly feel "Old Florida", which I appreciate, being an old Floridian!
