Well kept. Small but nice public areas for relaxing. Pool is warm and newly refinished and clean. Bed and bedding and towels were great. Everything was spotless. Shower was strong by hotel standards. Only thing missing was a coffee maker. Will definitely be back whenever visiting Bonita-Ft Myers-Estero.
Lots of nice restaurants within 2 miles. We love Leonis' Pizza and Sweet Melissa's for dessert.

I cannot praise this wonderful Florida hideaway enough. I have been coming here for over 20 years. My husband and I used to come with our two boys for a week every summer. It was the best place for a family vacation, although the guests were of all ages.
There is a wonderful beach across the small quiet road, and a great dock in front of the premises on the intracoastal (the Imperial River which feeds into Estero Bay), where one can watch the people return after a wonderful day on the water on one of the Resort's pontoon boats.
Each year we came on our family vacations, we rented one of the boats for at least one day, and had a wonderful time showing the boys hermit crabs and other things at nearby Lovers Key.
I recently retired and thought I would like to go away for a week. I could think of nowhere I would rather be than at Bonita Beach, even though I was coming alone.
The owners have done a wonderful job, with attention to detail, to make each of their units a home away from home, yet with a resort atmosphere. If you decide to prepare a meal in your apartment, don't worry about salt and pepper, or paper towels. They have thought of all the little touches that make this such a welcoming place to re-visit. Everything is always so clean, and the soft towels and bed linens are so fresh that I feel I am staying in a five-star hotel with the ambience of an island getaway.
Bonita Beach Resort Motel is very conveniently located for trips to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, and the City of Fort Myers to the north, and Naples to the south. Bonita Springs is close and convenient for shopping.

If you are a minority do not even step foot in this place, you will be treated as if THEY are doing you a favor, same thing goes for boat rentals. There is no safety staying here, they go inside your room and browse around when you are away. I stayed here several times before and got tired of being treated as a third world citizen., actually last time I stayed here, I feared for my life when evening came around. Owner Eric and the rest of the staff are all the same. Try renting in Ft. Myers Beach, there are lots of different places where they would appreciate your business. Stay away from Motel and boat rental!

We apologize if any staff made you feel unwelcome in any way but we can assure you and everyone else who may read this review that we are definitely not prejudice, our area is very safe, and under no circumstances do we enter guests' rooms when they are away. However, thank you for taking the time to submit a review and feel free to stay with us again and let us prove to you that your review is not at all accurate.

the stay was fine the boat rental went fine, the only issue I had is I left a special water pillow in the room. I had told Andy I was working on the east coast when we talked when I rented the boat. So when I got the chance to get back to your motel to pick up what was left in the room Andy informed me he thought it was trash and threw it away. I don't understand why a phone call wad not made to me to let me know I left something in the room. I'm very disappointed!!!!!!!

A lot of room, very clean, great location. Walk across street and onto the beach. Close to great dining choices. Would stay again over a chain hotel any time. Great for longer stays - laundry, kitchenette, living room space. Owner friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at BBRM for many years, always looking forward until we can come back. The rooms are always clean, the staff is very friendly, and you couldn't ask for more beautiful views. If you are a wildlife lover or just want a great place to relax, this is the place for you. Love it here!!

Bonita Beach Resort Motel is the gem of Bonita Springs, FL. The rates are affordable; the rooms are clean and comfortable; the staff is friendly and accomodating; and, the motel is located directly across a two-lane street to the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. This motel, and it's location, could not be more perfect...but it is...because the motel also rents pontoon boats on-site if you want to go fishing, boating or beach it at Lovers Key State Park. When my family returns to Bonita Springs, FL, we won't stay anywhere else!

You can't beat this place for the $$. Nicely equipped room (actually a small apartment wuth kitchen). Super clean. Great service. Superb location with free beach access right across the street. The marina dog was cute and friendly too! No housekeeping---but you had access to the storeroom with towels, etc. available. Walk to a pretty good restaurant/bar with other options in easy driving distance. I spent time simply sitting on their dock watching the water and the boats. Rent a pontoon boat...it looked like fun! (We went on a fishing charter with fishbusters-->Capt. Dave put us on the fish all day long!! We came home with a boatload of fish...too bad the Red Grouper was out of season--otherwise we would have brought home even more!). I'm coming back to BBRM with my wife...and she is picky.

It's funny, because my wife and I live in a condo on the beach in Surfside, FL which is just north of Miami Beach. You could say that the beach is our back yard.
Yet nothing gives us more pleasure than traveling just a little over two hours to stay at Bonita Beach Resort Motel. We have been coming here since 1994, at least two to three times a year.
We love the serenity of the beach, the beautiful sunsets, the amazing sea life, and we especially love the accommodations at Bonita Beach Resort Motel. It is a family run operation. We have seen their children grow up (as well as our children) over the many years.
The place is always clean and well maintained. They are always working on making things even better, there is always a "project" under way, so that each time we visit, the experience is even better than the last one.
The place is by no means luxurious, but there are many things that are better than luxury, and we have found this at BBRM. Courtesy, loving-kindness, cleanliness and reasonableness in price are the hallmarks of this family business.
You have the docks in the back with a number of pontoons that you can rent to cruise the bay or go fishing. And then you have the beautiful and quiet beach just across the street.
We highly recommend (after almost 20 years of regular visits) this place. You cannot go wrong.
By the way, in response to the review posted by Marbet105, the staff is anything but prejudice. I am hispanic, as are my children and we have never experienced anything that comes near to prejudice. This is a fine Christian family with true values.

Hi! All you need to do is walk across the street and private beach access is right there. Definitely walkable!
there is a full kitchen in studio, with coffee maker, pots and pans etc. I just brought along some coffee and other groceries with me so I could make my own in early morning before heading out.
I am sorry but we do not allow pets at our resort. Thanks for asking.
