Don't go. The hotel is seedy and run down. Suites are old fashioned, dimly lit. The bathroom is small and poorly laid out. The hotel staff give the impression that they would like to be anyplace but there. High pricing, does not deserve the Hilton log.
We would definitely stay here again. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. It has easy access to the Florida turnpike. It was clean, had free breakfast, and a evening happy hour. The hotel looked stunning from the pool and hot tub in the evening. The room we were in had a sofa, a small kitchenette ,and a balcony which was a nice feature.
The many good points a this hotel far outnumber its shortcomings and the negative reviews are unfair. The free breakfasts are great, free happy hour is terrific, the hot tub is always good and hot,and the shaded tables around the pool provide a relaxing site to sit and decompress or just read a book. The man made lake with a surrounding sidewalk is great for a walk, The Chinese restaurant and City Fish restaurant each just a few feet out the front door, and just the ease of reaching all of the hotel's facilities within a few minutes help make this hotel a perfect vacation destination. It's my fourth time staying there and I will definitely be back.
The staff at the front desk and the engineering crew were nothing but helpful and nice. Unfortunately, when we got to our room, you could visibly see mold growing on the popcorn ceiling and you could smell it as well. Everything is extremely old and has not been updated in decades. We asked if all the rooms were like this. They tried moving us to another room to see if it was better. The second room on the seventh floor was better than the first room on the fifth floor, but still after a while all of our eyes started itching and I called the desk and asked if we could get our money back. They were very understanding and so we left. It is a shame that the owner of this property clearly doesn’t care. It is shocking to experience this, in the middle of Boca , surrounded by country clubs, with the high season prices. I am thinking the board of health needs to make a visit. I have never asked for my money back from any other place in all my life. Hilton should revoke the franchise. I feel bad for the staff who are very nice.…
Just back from a long weekend at the Hilton Boca Raton Suites. Went with my children who are great sports. I hope we didn’t bring back unwanted guests. Cockroach in our room. Gross. Peeling paint, rust spots, musty odor, front door lock didn’t always work. Bathtub had rust and drain was missing cover. Common areas desperately needed paint and repairs . The staff were kind and worked really hard. Seemed like hotel understaffed so folks working were moving so quickly. I felt badly for them. The front desk and the cleaning staff were really friendly. Breakfast buffet people really nice, too. Anyway - the really helpful and kind staff couldn’t make up for the hotel’s gross condition. The building is overdue for massive renovations!
Indifferent staff, run down interior of building, and gloomy, poorly lit suite make this property a indifferent choice. The so called suites were remnants of the 1980s with small bathrooms, poor lighting throughout the suite, and just an overall bad feeling. Definitely not up to Hilton standards of the past.
Despite other reviews we found our stay to be delightful. Granted it's an older hotel, but there's still some charm left in the old gal. I loved the balconies available over looking the water features. I'd definitely return.
Just got back 3/8/23 from 7 days. Pros: Cooked to order breakfast and 2 hour open bar every night. Staff ok. Cons: Stayed 7 nights what a mistake. Over priced even with AAA discount which actually gets you a less attractive room w/parking lot view on 2nd floor. Would never ever stay again or recommend. The property is not represented fairly in booking pics. It is in poor / bad condition, dirty, damaged walls and ceilings pealing paint, water stains, mold, maintenance staff lazy. Guest Trash / Food left overnight in hallways. Broken tiles at pool, terrible pool towels small and old. Thin walls hear everything in adjacent rooms.... good luck sleeping if noisy neighbor. (Had that twice) Maintenance was so bad a fire alarm pull station went off by itself. It was missing the part that prevents false alarms. so.... it went off. We had to vacate hotel for an hour. Grounds are poorly maintained... weeds, over grown bushes broken tiles, rotted wood on foot bridge.... Doors didn't close correctly.... basically everything was worn out. Interior waterfall / pool features need paint. Handrail gross dirty and need paint. Water dripping from clogged rain drain pipes at entry drive up canopy. I could go on. I'm in the Construction industry I know when a property is worn out. The hotel is part of a mixed use development which had low end shabby businesses. It made me feel ripped off. The property either needs new owners or a major up grade renovation. Hotel looks like 1980's and never updated. Location is close to Highway in Western Boca Raton. If you go in winter like us Traffic is insane! its a long drive from property to attractions at east coast. I took several pics to support my review but, cant seen to cut/paste or drag into review area . Jim M - Boston, Ma …
Hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. Rooms are in rough shape. I was shocked this hotel is permitted to carry the Hilton brand. Thankfully I only had to stay two nights. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Any Hampton Inn would blow this place away!
It’s like we were stuck back in time / señor center. The walls are yuky yellow from the 70’s. The curtain was ripped, couches were dirty. Some light switches worked. Stayed for four full days and did not see anyone cleaning anything. Pool, lobby , Lake and gym were the only nice things. Full of señor adults. Staff personnel were rude.
